@mtpbadger thank you so much for the update! You always have such an awesome outlook and it sounds like everything is moving along.  2.2 lbs  <3 yay.  The baby might just be a little small or a little early but you have amazing care it sounds like. Have a blast in NYC!!

@klynn7 Welcome!! Good advice on the constipation. I'd eat cat food at this point honestly.

@mtpbadger the news from you MFM sounds really encouraging.  I’m sure that you are still crazy with worry but hearing that you little girl is growing must be reassuring.  I’m glad that your appointment schedule can hopefully not be too bad with your work schedule and you’re still able to do light activities.  I’ll be stalking that 3rd trimester board and hoping that things continue to progress for you and you don’t have to have an early delivery and even if you do that all will work out well.  Rooting for you!!!

@klyn7 welcome to the second trimester!  Walking in on your MIL is hilarious.  Granted I never close the door at home...but at someone else’s house or at my own house when anyone is over I couldn’t imagine!  Also I’m going to have to try the all bran.  I remember my mom always eating that when I was little she would mix it in with her yogurt.

    Welcome @klynn7 ! ❤❤❤

@mtpbadger  so glad to hear things are not as bad as we might have feared!!  Phew!  And plus you get to enjoy your trip.  Will be exciting getting ready for her a little quicker maybe....!!!  :#  what's on the short list you think to feel more ready?

Thanks everyone! I do feel a little bit better knowing she's not in any serious trouble as of right now and feel much better with the frequent monitoring. It'll be a lot, and almost feels like I'm back in the IVF process with all the appointments, but I'll get to see the little lady every week, so that's kind of cool!

@businesswife....oh boy, what's not on the short list!? We still haven't ordered any nursery furniture, don't have anywhere for her to sleep (pack n play is on our registry so fingers crossed someone gets it for our shower in two weeks!), diapers, etc. etc. etc. I feel like we haven't done much but I know babies can survive without "things" and we do have plenty of clothes and blankets for her so far. Fingers crossed she doesn't come too early so we have time to get some of this stuff done!

@mtbadger try not to stress to much about getting ready you are right babies really don't need much.  Some swaddles and onsies, diapers, baby soap, and a place to sleep will get you though.  My plan is to have those things, and whatever I get for my baby shower.  That one click ordering on amazon can help me get anything else I decide I want later.  Or who knows a quick trip out of the house for supplies might just be what you need to keep your sanity with a new little one :)

@mtpbadger So relieved to hear that the MFM isn't too-too concerned and that baby girl is still growing. I will keep my fingers crossed that she keeps growing and stays put several more weeks, though! One thing to consider if you are worried is to get a baby box -- then technically you would have a whole set of clothes, swaddles, diapers, soap, blanket, BF supplies, bottles, etc., and you could just supplement once she's here and you see what else you need.

Hi ladies!!!! I've been MIA due to a ridiculously busy work schedule. I've popped on here and there to catch up. Glad everyone is doing well, we had some scares there huh!

@laurad75 so glad to hear the good news. I'm sure the amino was terrifying and wait was awful. But at least you now have peace of mind.

@mtpbadger lots of hugs! Glad baby is growing :) also you're on to the third tri!!!!

Sorry I can't respond to everyone, there was an overwhelming amount of things happening here :)

AFM 27 weeks tomorrow!!! Things are going well. I'll be back later to catch up some more

    hugs all around

@mtpbadger don't sweat it! For the first 3 months all my DD needed was diapers, wipes, clothes, car seat carrier, and a pack n play. We barely set foot in the nursery before 3 months TBH. Take your time and try and relax :)

@coco305 good to hear from you and glad you are doing well.  27 weeks!  You’re almost in the 3rd trimester, final stretch!

I’m headed off to my repeat Anatomy scan in a few.  A little nervous but happy to be able to see the little one and make sure everything is okay after the flu from hell.  I’m having a rough day today.  Forgot to take my anti-nausea meds last night and was wondering why I was throwing up all morning, and nauseous all day until I realized and of course I didn’t have any in my purse….guess I still need those flippin’ 22 weeks, seriously what short straw did I pull.  Anyways I ate like a huge carb lunch like I was going to run a marathon which seems to have helped but now I’m pretty worried about vomiting all over the ultrasound tech while she pushes on my stomach for an hour.  This should be interesting.

Hi All! Was very MIA this week as work has been insane (I'm a recruiter for a start-up I'm deep in the weeds for sales hiring!) but I've been checking in when I've gotten a few minutes!

18+4 today. Last appointment was 2 days ago with the OB. Everything is looking good, no changes physically (still haven't popped, can't feel any movement yet :( ) and feeling good overall! Anatomy scan in just under 2 weeks.

I feel like I've shared a lot of craziness from both my parents and IL's but @sarcasticowl 's story reminded me of a few choice remarks IL's have made about Obama. My MIL is a bit of a wino (although she made a point to tell DH last week that she would never drink if she was babysitting) and a while back during family dinner we were all talking about the Pledge of Allegiance in schools and if we could still recite it, etc. She worked in an elementary school for 40 years and she said that it's a shame that "Obama with his big black d**k" wants to stop kids from reciting the pledge. My SIL looked at each other like "WHAT THE F***?!?!?!" Thinking on that now, I certainly hope that she'll never say anything like that in front of my kid...DH and I are pretty liberal and open-minded.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

@sarzee2 don't worry about popping, all in due time! I popped around 23-24 weeks, now I lose my breath trying to put on shoes and need to legit rest afterwards lol as far as movement, I felt it at 20, and it was mild. You'll get there ;)
@2MomsHoping how did the scan go???

Hey guys. Sorry I have been MIA for a bit. I have been sick for a couple weeks. I had a terrible cold which the triggered a flare of my sickle cell. I had to go to the ER twice and had to be on some very strong pain meds. It was also really rough because I had to endure a lot of judgement for ER doctors and staff for having to be on those meds while pregnant even though all of my specialists have agreed that it is ok to use them as needed for short periods. I think the opioid epidemic has everyone on high alert so I understand but I spent a lot of time in tears from either the pain or guilt. Anyway it was a bad experience but I’m much better now and just praying that the next few months are uneventful.

Baby seems to be doing great despite everything. I’m almost 26 weeks now. Even while I was on those meds he was kicking and rolling all the same. At one hospital they sent a nurse to monitor the HR for 20 mins. Well he hates anything in his personal space so he kicked at the probe for the entire time until they took it off.

Happy to read everyone’s updates even though I’m super late to the party. Busy trying to catch up with work but I’ll try to get back on track next week!

Awww @safire3 I'm sorry you had to go through that - I had a not so pleasant experience at urgent care and the ER, no one wanted to take care of me because I was pregnant- they all kept trying to pass the buck (hence why I was sent to the ER from Urhent care). Thankfully I wasn't there for anything serious. I am sorry about all the pain you were in though :( and I'm glad you are feeling better, your specialists know what they are doing and what's best for your care. So don't feel guilty for taking medication. It's probably a lot better for the baby that you aren't in pain.

Thanks for asking @coco305 sorry I forgot to update!  The repeat anatomy scan went well.  Baby was still a squirmer and I had to have a second tech come in because they were having trouble seeing the heart but it must have been good enough because when they showed them to the doc I was good to go.  Hard to believe I’m done with ultrasounds and the next time I will see the baby will be in real life.  Seems so impossible still.

@sarzee2 sorry you have been in the weeds.  I hope this week is calmer for you.  I took a long time to get a bump I’m at 23 and though I see the bump I don’t think strangers would consider it a baby bump just a large lunch lol.

@safire3 that sounds so horrible.  Especially with how you were treated in the ER.  When I got sick a couple weeks ago my on-call OB told me to go to the women’s hospital where I’m scheduled for delivery.  It was wonderful they were able to treat me and check on the baby.  Check in with your OB to see if that kind of think might be available should something come up again.  Though of course fingers crossed that it won’t!
