I am so frustrated. I was told today that if I had medicaid genetic testing would be covered but because I have bcbs it probably won't be because I am not 35. I am glad people who need help can get it don't get me wrong, but I also have friends who have completely abused it and I bust my ass every day for my crap insurance. Ugh tears.
@ninji15 Yessss. Several of my pregnant friends were telling me they were able to get it done for $100-$200 because their doctors have a deal worked out with certain companies. My doctor doesn't have that and told me directly insurance doesn’t cover it and it’s between $600-1000 out of pocket. My friends just kept bragging about how it was so easy for them. But after I made many calls to insurance and feeling like there wasn’t a way to make it work, I found out that even though it's still expensive ($749 for my portion), MaterniT 21 counts towards my deductible and out of pocket max. We were going to hit the out of pocket max regardless this year with baby and then insurance pays at 100%. So we'll just hit it a little earlier with doing this test. And we can use our HSA fund to pay for it. So maybe there’s still a way! Keep your chin up and good luck!

good advice - I’m going to try the hunching over and not standing up too fast.

DH and I were having sex a few weeks ago (sorry if that’s TMI) and I actually yelled out “STOP!” when RLP hit when I was bent over and moved a weird way. Poor guy froze and was so worried - he must have asked if I was ok a hundred times lol. It’s crazy how much RLP can hurt and how quickly it can show up.
