Femara and Your Cycle

Hello,

I was given Femara 2.5 mg to take on cycle days 5-9 during my last cycle. I was monitored and then took a trigger shot on CD 13. I received to IUI's, one on CD 14 and 15, and ovulated on CD 15. My cycle is very regular as is my ovulation. I normally have 26 day cycles with ovulation occurring on CD 12 or 13. Today is CD 30 and I still have not received AF, but I feel like I am. Took 4 HPT's and all negative.

Has anyone had a delayed start of their period due to Femara?

Are you also on progesterone suppositories?

How many follies did you have? If you had multiple follicles, your body will be producing more progesterone which may delay the start of AF.

Not on any progesterone. I produced two follicles last cycle with Femara.

With my IUI cycle I was on Femara CD3 - 7 (though I think I was 5mg of Femara), had two follicles, no trigger shot, positive OPK CD15 (which is a bit late for me), no progesterone. AF didn't show until what would have been CD32 instead of the usual CD29. I can't be 100% that the Femara specifically had an impact, but I'd guess it was that.
Since you'd be CD33 now I'm hoping you already know one way or the other what your outcome is (FX those tests changed their tune over the weekend), but just in case it's ever useful for you or someone else, I thought I'd still respond.
