First time I was pregnant I only had general nausea in the first trimester, but this morning I got to spend some quality time dry heaving into the toilet while my toddler looked on. YAY for every pregnancy is different!
Terrible morning sickness! My husband is bringing home some ginger after work because I don’t want to dry heave through the store! I am just trying to remind myself that means things are going well and baby is growing. First appointment tomorrow
I bought some preggie pop drops from Amazon and have been taking them this weekend. I am happy to report they are helping! Now I have them concealed in my purse and I'm nervous about taking them at work since they are not conspicuous, but I might just have to try to crinkle up the wrapper real good in the trash lol.

@tessiesmom26 I need to order some. I've never tried them before, but this nausea is no joke. And my solution of eating carbs every 2 hours is probably not the best. Glad to hear they are working for you and hope you can find a way to hide them at work!
I'm thinking back to my first pregnancy and wondering why I loved being pregnant so much. Then I remembered something I read about your mind blocking all the bad memories, such as morning sickness and labor, so you'll reproduce again. I suffered all day sickness with DS for 8 weeks. Looks like the same is happening with this one. Puking with a 15 month old watching and trying to stick their hand into the toilet is a new experience though. I also caved this weekend and bought some Milk of Magnesia. Awful stuff, but happy to report I am no longer constipated.

The first time around was much different for me as well! No morning sickness/nausea, just sore breasts and slight fatigue. This time however the nausea is starting to kick my butt AND my sense of smell is heightened for sure. Almost didn't make it through cooking hamburger for spaghetti last night! Blah!
@phoenix870509@mollygj31 Ugh 2nd time is not the charm I guess. Maybe I am also just blocking out how bad I felt with DS. Having a kiddo around while going through this is definitely a new interesting symptom though.
Oh my I'm with you girls, although luckily haven't tossed my cookies yet - which is a huge improvement from my last pregnancy when I was puking all the time through weeks 8-16ish! It gave me the most terrible sore throat. I'll stick with just nausea this time around if I should be so lucky.
Fatigue is hitting me hard. I'm summing that mostly up to having a toddler while pregnant like many of you! Super food aversions this week, like last week only worse. I get halfway through eating almost anything and I have to push it out of sight. Gahh!
My nausea is still hanging around but I have yet to have an actual date with the toilet so I am thankful for that.
My breast don't seem to be as sore as there were 2 weeks ago - anyone improving on that? I am 7w5d.
Friday night I developed a left-sided headache and thought I would sleep it off. Not so much. I have a full blown migraine ALL day Saturday and ALL day Sunday. I am headache prone while NOT pregnant, but not usually migraines. I don't know if it's pregnancy related or not, but I felt helpless to treat it. It has mostly gone away at this point, but was definitely still there when I woke up this morning so I was concerned about getting through work with it. Has anyone gone through this?
I hope all of you suffering from morning sickness find some relief soon. That has not hit me yet but I'm definitely dreading it. I have had terrible morning sickness during my past pregnancies but mine doesn't usually rev up until 6-8 weeks, so I'm expecting I'll be on that train soon.
Just a lot of fatigue and SO MUCH HUNGER. I don't know how much food I ate yesterday but it was a horrific amount.
All day nausea. I think going to go find some sea bands. Nothing else seems to help. And these headaches!! It's gonna be a long 4 more weeks until 2nd trimester...
@pitbullmama71 I hope the sea bands work for you. They did nothing for
me and gave my DH a reason to smirk "Told ya so". Second tri doesn't
begin until 14 weeks. I hope you get some relief soon, and before 2nd tri begins.

The fatigue is what has hit me most so far this time. I'm still fairly early on, so no telling what is to come. However, if not for the fatigue (literally falling sleep by 9pm. Not sure how I will make it through evening shift with little to no caffeine in the next few weeks) plus missed period and positive pregnancy test or I wouldn't know I was pregnant. Last time fatigue got me, smell, and sore breasts. Somewhat hoping more symptoms do show because honestly, I could use the reminder that I am pregnant (feel free to copy this and repost when I am moaning in future weeks about how miserable I am).
Exhaustion. By 3pm I'm basically just a desk decoration at work. I think my pencil stash might actually be more use than me. I'm living this cycle of get up, go to work, try to stay awake, go home, throw up, eat something for dinner and go to sleep by 8pm. Morning sickness is now only presenting about 7pm which is helping with the morning routine and getting started without coffee (this is the only bright side I can think of).
Only 5 weeks so my symptoms are still starting. I've had a few bouts of nausea and nothing sounds appetizing but it isnt too bad yet. My worst symptom is insomnia! Omg the insomnia. I've been up at 2 or 3 every morning for the last week and can't fall back asleep until 4 or 5 am
@TheSouffleGirl I was told the first time around Loratadine was the only safe allergy med like that to take.

@babyfeverbeliever I get migraines pretty much only when pregnant. I experienced it a few times when I was pregnant with my daughter, and it has happened twice so far this pregnancy. It usually starts with an aura (squiggly bright lines through my vision) and progresses to a headache. I'm not sure it's a typical migraine because the pain isn't severe, but I think it counts as one because of the aura. I'm so sorry yours lasted for so long! I hope it doesn't continue. I mentioned it to the midwife I saw at my last appointment and she said if I really needed it during a migraine, some Tylenol would be okay. She also said that a cup of coffee may help too, but I haven't tried that yet.
Blegh! Nausea has moved straight into full on puking. Good morning to you too little dot

I dry heaving so much and my breasts are soooooo swollen and sore! When I was pregnant with my first, I dry heaved a lot, but the nausea FELT different (if that makes any sense!!) and my boobs weren't sore, only my nipples were tender. Both my mother and sister said both of their pregnancies were vastly different, so I'm expecting that will be the case with me too!
Please tell me I’m not the only one whose clothes are feeling tight already! This is #3, and I’m only 5’1”. Even a slight weight gain means my pants are tight, and add that to my normally A-cup boobs exploding, and all of my shirts are uncomfortably tight, too. I’ll probably dig my maternity clothes out of storage this weekend.
@runningyogimama I'm wearing yoga pants at work instead of my normal jeans or work pants... best decision of the day. Totally not just you. The bloat is real.

@lurvleybunchococonuts I would kill to wear yoga pants at work! I sneak in leggings about once a week, and I also am wearing a pair today that are dress pants, but have a stretchy waist and are almost sweatpant material. They are my saving grace!
@mrsduddles Your pencil comment made me LOL. I completely understand! From 2:30 on it's just a contest to stay awake and get to the end of the day so I can go home and nap.

I know I already said this in another thread, but I CAN'T STOP SNEEZING.
IT'S RUINING MY SLEEP.
MY LORATADINE IS MOCKING ME FROM THE MEDICINE CABINET.
This had me and DH snort laughing. Love that Andy. And hope your sneezes abate!
ETA: @runningyogimama Girl I had to cook dinner last night with my jeans unbuttoned AND unzipped. It was not cute. Definitely not just you.
Symptoms so far: Sore, swollen boobs. I'm here for the swollen part Increased appetite for sure although lately at the tail end of a meal I'm getting grossed out and having to spit out my food. The smell of DH cooking eggs just now grossed me out for a second but I shook it off. My skin is breaking out. Not much else happening so far. I didn't have nausea with DD but I did have some pretty extreme food aversions. Hoping it goes a similar way this time. The few times I did feel sick, Nausene usually cleared it up.
Has anyone gone on meds for nausea/vomiting? My nausea is so bad, all day, and I’m miserable... I’m seriously considering it. But I don’t want to take Zofran as I didn’t like how it made me feel when I took it with my last pregnancy. Wondering if anyone has tried anything else.
@pink_polkadots I'm on Zofran now, and I will probably ask for something else as we are at the point where I'm still throwing up even when I take it. Last pregnancy I was on Zofran for a few weeks, then they put me on Promethazene, which helped for a few weeks, and then I had to switch back to the Zofran.

@runningyogimama YESSSSSS. I'm not skinny to begin with by any means, but my non-stop hunger and my bloating have really done a number on my body and my clothes just can't take it. I will have to do some pants shopping this weekend.
@runningyogimama I can't even imagine what I'm going to look like by the end of the first tri. With my first two, I didn't have a true bump until pretty close to the third trimester (just looked chubby). I definitely think it is going to be way more obvious sooner rather than later. 3rd baby is no joke on the body. My belly already has a nice curve to it... so awkward at 8 weeks.
Heartburn like whoa I had it bad with my first pregnancy, too, and it has picked right back up and pretty early, too. Nausea hasn't been bad but I feel my gag reflex is getting more sensitive so I will probably end up vomitting when I brush my teeth one day here soon.
I hope you ladies with bad morning sickness feel better soon. I am such a baby when it comes to nausea, I woud be calling for a prescription ASAP!
I don't know if this should go in this thread or the questions thread, but anyone have an idea how to tell if symptoms are pregnancy related or food poisoning?
I would guess it's probably pregnancy. Because people with food poisoning usually are also pale, and get sweaty.
TMI: So far this pregnancy, I've been alternating between being bunged up, and boarder line too much. But today it's full blown monkey butt. And of course the brutal nausea.
I despise vomiting. I refuse to allow it to happen lol
@babybrain2018 ugh... I'm the opposite. Give me puking over dry heaves or nausea. At least I get temporary relief for a little while from the nausea immediately after puking.

@babybrain2018 I usually have major constipation right after I ovulate until time for my next period. So when I was going more often, i just assumed that meant i was out this month. Apparently not. Apparently the hormones can jack you up both ways.
@lurvleybunchococonuts haha yeah, if it's food poisoning or something similar making me nauseated, I'll let myself puke cuz it will get the nasties out. But I figured it wouldn't relieve the pregnancy nausea, since it's not an irritant in my stomach causing the problem. But, I could be wrong. Maybe I would feel better if I would just let myself puke!
@babybrain2018 I think with food poisoning the sickness would come on more suddenly and intensely, and then be constant misery for about 24-48h before stopping. You also might get more symptoms like fever, chills, or muscle aches.
But I think a messed up digestive system either way is pretty common.
