@mich_elle So sorry you're having to deal with all this craziness with the family. Your aunt said her peace, so that is a weight off your shoulders to deal with. Maybe you can see your dad afterwards and maybe have a small after-Easter thing with them? I know the girlfriend wouldn't be fun to deal with, but least you can say you tried We have to go my husbands uncles house for Easter. Usually it's ok, but most of the time his son's wife blows up and has a fit. So I'm always awaiting some drama as well!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): This is our first IUI with the RE. FX! Rants/Raves: I have no patience this evening. Feeling rather bitchy... for no apparent reason. So, I guess my rant is that I'm aggravated that I'm bitchy? LOL! Although I am rather perturbed to have received a bill in the mail from ReproSource for labwork, because apparently they will only accept payment with bank account information on an unsecure site. Seems sketchy, so I'm asking the nurse about it before I pay it. However, one day closer to the end of TWW Questions for the group: The doctor said to test at home in 2 weeks after IUI, which was on the 20th. So, am I right to say I test on 4/03? That would be CD27. Has anyone tested sooner? Also, when doing IUI and calculating DPO, would you just start with the day after the trigger shot?
GTKY: What make and model was your first car? Toyota Corolla, used, like a '88 I think. It looked like a box on wheels, considering car design has become so sleek in the years since.
What are you thankful for this week? I'm thankful for DH. He is so good to me!
This is my first check in with this group, so please bare with me if this isn't the appropriate time/place to mention this stuff. I did the trigger shot on 3/19 (CD12) after US showed a 17mm on right and 19mm on left. We did the IUI on 3/20. DH sperm sample looked pretty good (104 million), taking Progesterone nightly during the TWW, so I'm hopeful this will work. I'm trying not to analyse things (fatigue, oh and did I mention my recent attitude?), but the TWW sucks! I just wanna know already.
Me: 40 DH: 45 TTC since roughly Aug 2014 DX: unexplained - never been pregnant Fibroids (4), but they don't appear to be causing any issue HSG 2016 = all clear Feb 2017 IUI + clomid and trigger shot = BFN AMH 2018 = 0.8 Semenanalysis 2018 = easier just to say it's adequate March 2018 IUI + Femara 2.5mg x 10, 10,000 unit Pregnyl trigger, Progesterone suppositories 200mg nightly = BFN
@MsFixit my RE tells me to test on 15 DPO. I typically count day of IUI as day one. Who am I kidding though.....I usually test and 9DPO to make sure trigger shot is out of system and then test multiple times in between lol. I have zero control. I buy cheap tests and test with those until 13 or 14 DPO then I use a FRER so I can know if I need to stop progesterone
@MsFixit Absolutely it’s appropriate! Remind me again is this your first IUI?
@Momifbysea Insomnia is the worst. My h doesn’t snore he sleeps like an angel actually but on Sunday I literally didn’t sleep at all!!! It was awful! I usually go on the couch when that happens and put a documentary on , something monotone ... usually it’ll put me right to sleep but not Sunday night. Worst was I had To get up at 530 to get ready for work and go to my monitoring appointment.
@kristimh80 I know I feel the same way.. cautiously optimistic. There’s always a chance something could happen but nothing wrong with being hopeful!
Thanks for reading...I’m fueling with a Starbucks. Moved to the couch and was up until 2:40 on my phone reading fertility journal articles and success stories then up at 5. Sucks!!!
@Momifbysea Ugh, that's the worst! I always move to the guest bedroom when my husband is snoring bad. Luckily, usually my dogs kick him out of bed most night so it's not an issue.
@MsFixit Sounds about right timing wise to me. I always tested before my beta just so was prepared either way.

@kristimh80 haha I’m laughing out loud picturing your dogs kicking him out of bed!
part of my lack of sleep is a bit of anxiousness, both about the pio shots, but more in the near future being nervous about the needle biopsy I have to get in my thyroid next week. I know with IF I’ve been through a lot but come on, who wants to take a needle to the neck? Not my idea of fun ugh!
@Mack2342 That makes me feel so much better, because I'm not sure I'll make it without doing some premature testing! LOL!
@ndz2018 This is my second IUI. The first one was over a year ago with my OB/GYN and I got in a wreck the next day, so I put it off for a while. I was kinda hoping it would just happen in the time between, trying to be patient. Finally I decided I had been patient enough and that we just needed to see an RE.
Thank you all for the encouragement and support!

sorry for the delay. quick update on me and I will read this entire thread later and reply to you all. Thanks for listening in advance.
So Friday, Sunday and monday were what I consider good energy days and overall feeling like I was improving. Well where I think I went wrong was taking that adapogen herb again on Friday every day but not anymore as of today. Both today and yesterday I've been more tired and actually had more indigestion on Sunday and Monday than I normally have. It actually woke me at 1am last night even though I had already taken a zantac prior to sleep. So I'll see what happens today and tonight not being on it.
My Endo appt isn't until april 11th which is frustrating but what can you do. My mom gave me an idea to call where I see our family doc and ask for an appt with an internal medicine doc which they have 2 of. As they are more specialized than our family doc and at least I can see someone before the ENDO that may have something helpful to say or test for me. So I see that doc this coming Monday afternoon and I'm going to see if DH can go with me in case I miss something to tell him.
I had asked my family doc about the nausea I get in the AM which honestly was so much better the 2 days prior to today and they think because of the labs of the higher cortisol and because I was on the clomid which messed with my hormones they still think an ENDO is the best bet for now so I'll stick with that path. I think at this point I'm going to stop seeing my naturopath and go with the specialist docs and hope they can figure something out and make me start to feel myself again.
@ndz2018 - Your FET is coming up! How excited are you? I haven't had any indigestion today as of yet so I'm thinking I'm going to stay of herbs for awhile. My tummy is very picky what I put in it lately. I pretty much am only taking my anxiety pills and the multi vitamin. Ive cut way back. While I do like my naturopath she is wanting me to take so many supplements, smoothies, cold pressed juices, apple cider vinegar, magnesium, detox tea - I just can't keep up with all that and since we have really good health insurance I think it's best I go to the "real" doctors now. I do felt she has helped me though.
@mack2342 - yeah for 4 follicles again - hope this is your cycle
@momifbysea - I think you live closer to me and aren't you just sick of all the cloudy days? I can't remember the last time we saw sun and the high on Easter - 37! What?! I also hate insomnia. If I can't sleep I'm useless the next day. Last month I had 3 hours of sleep and had to teach - yeah! I had the hardest time even driving.
@vlagrl29 Thank you!! Hope you get to feel back to normal once again!

@kristimh80 - I have hopes I will. I didn't take that herb at all yesterday and no crazy indigestion and the nausea wasn't as bad this morning although still there so I think in a couple days I should be back to where I was at on Monday with no nausea waking me up. That was lovely. Can't wait to see the internal med doc monday.
I was teaching today and I have an older violin student in her early 80s and she knows I wasn't feeling well last time we spoke because I had to cancel lessons that day. Well I filled her in on what has been going on the last 2 months and it felt really good to talk to her about it and she seemed so sweet and understanding and supportive. That was so nice.
@vlagrl29 I’m getting excited!! Just a lot going on and now I feel Like im getting sick .. I’m hoping it’s allergies but I feel Soooo run down right now.
@ndz2018 I had a little more energy today and we had a lot going on with egg hunts with DD. I literally brought a pillow with us and took a little nap in dhs car. After lunch it hits me every day. Then we colored eggs tonight. I still have to put her Easter basket together. So I'm hoping I didn't over do it today and feel it tomorrow.
@ndz2018 sorry for the super late reply - I was up in Iowa all last week and had the thyroid biopsy which was not fun, let me tell you! It was a shot of lidocaine in my neck which felt like a long bee sting but then I wasn't expecting that then the doctor said "now we're going to numb it more internally by where we will be" and that needle went deeper and sucked!!! Anyway, I'll get caught up reading these and check in for this week now that I'm back on.

@ChasingTheDog OMG! I actually LOL'd at your description of your 1st car! Ha! We've come a long way, baby!
I forgot to add that, whenever I've been really busy and not able to check TB every day, when I do finally get the chance, I'm like, "What are my girls up to?" So yeah, you all are "My Girls"!

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD19
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): This is our first IUI with the RE. FX!
Rants/Raves: I have no patience this evening. Feeling rather bitchy... for no apparent reason. So, I guess my rant is that I'm aggravated that I'm bitchy? LOL! Although I am rather perturbed to have received a bill in the mail from ReproSource for labwork, because apparently they will only accept payment with bank account information on an unsecure site. Seems sketchy, so I'm asking the nurse about it before I pay it. However, one day closer to the end of TWW
Questions for the group: The doctor said to test at home in 2 weeks after IUI, which was on the 20th.
TTC since roughly Aug 2014
DX: unexplained - never been pregnant
Fibroids (4), but they don't appear to be causing any issue
HSG 2016 = all clear
Feb 2017 IUI + clomid and trigger shot = BFN
AMH 2018 = 0.8
Semenanalysis 2018 = easier just to say it's adequate
March 2018 IUI + Femara 2.5mg x 10, 10,000 unit Pregnyl trigger, Progesterone suppositories 200mg nightly = BFN
Supplements/Vitamins I'm taking daily:
@Momifbysea Insomnia is the worst. My h doesn’t snore he sleeps like an angel actually but on Sunday I literally didn’t sleep at all!!! It was awful! I usually go on the couch when that happens and put a documentary on , something monotone ... usually it’ll put me right to sleep but not Sunday night. Worst was I had To get up at 530 to get ready for work and go to my monitoring appointment.
@kristimh80 I know I feel the same way.. cautiously optimistic. There’s always a chance something could happen but nothing wrong with being hopeful!
@MsFixit Sounds about right timing wise to me. I always tested before my beta just so was prepared either way.

part of my lack of sleep is a bit of anxiousness, both about the pio shots, but more in the near future being nervous about the needle biopsy I have to get in my thyroid next week. I know with IF I’ve been through a lot but come on, who wants to take a needle to the neck? Not my idea of fun ugh!

I had asked my family doc about the nausea I get in the AM which honestly was so much better the 2 days prior to today
@kristimh80 - your FET is like next week! GL!
@mich_elle - sorry about all that family drama - that's the worst!
@MsFixit - GL with your IUI and welcome!
