IVF won't work for me...

Hello there everyone! How are you all doing. I hope that you are all fine. I also wis that you have a great weekend ahead of you! I have been gone off this forum for a long while now. I have missed you guys a lot to be honest. I am making this post just so that I can get some stuff off my chest. I am sorry if it is not organised or anything. I can barely think straight... Right now I am so sad and so frustrated that all I can do is scream, cry and speak nonsense!

Long story short, hubby and I changed our life so that we may become parents. Turns out that we have MFI and I also had some issues with my uterus... Issues that as it would turn out were impossible to surpass! At least for me and my dh. A few days ago we were told that IVF had no chance to work for us! Despite our efforts to change things, nothing has changed.

Honestly I don't know what to think right now... :disappointed:
Hope you guys are doing better than me.

Re: IVF won't work for me...

  • #2 - We really did everything we could. We tried working out and eating healthy and all that... Seems that the damage that drugs did to us during our youth was too big for us to overcome. My husband keeps saying that we gave up too early or something... He isn't completely wrong but, we lived healthy just for a few months! However you can tell when something just won't work. I mean even if we continued like this for eternity things won't change. I guess you cannot undo what has been done. Maybe we can protect ourselves from further damage or something like that but... There is no way that I am getting pregnant... Or at least so it seems, not with IVF not with anything. Maybe magic could f### work?! I am so mad and so angry that I am willing to try even that. I guess some of you know how I feel. Also I now know how some of you feel too. This has been a shitty experience and I don't know how to just end it. It seems impossible for me.
  • @spyderbitt First, I am so sorry that you are going through this. My heart goes out to you. What is the nature of the MFI and your uterus issue? Have you gotten a 2nd opinion from a RE?

  • Ah gotcha @tinjp78 and thanks for looking out for all of us ladies. It makes sense why they didn't respond to anyone.

  • @tinjp78 Nice spot! Haven't seen Biotex in months.

  • Hey there @adirat ! Actually I sometimes see them around from time to time but some of their threads just die out on their own. But when one is getting big and getting attention already, it's high time to reveal these scums. biotex sucks!
  • Lol @tinjp78 and @dragonette505 is it wrong the first thing I wanted to ask was what kind of drugs did you do!?

It seemed like English wasn't the first language but I was also intrigued. I grew up in the meth hub of the east coast in Appalachia and I'm pretty sure even that doesn't stop pregnancy for some people  :D

"Seems that the damage that drugs did to us during our youth was too big for us to overcome. "

  • @greenhillgirl for some reason, the biotex people often say drugs ruined their fertility
  • Didn't one of them say fashion modeling ruined her fertility? I didn't follow the logic on that one.

What exactly is the MFI? There is a cure or at least scope for improvement even if it's a non-obstructive azoospermia. What exactly is the problem with your uterine lining... if you don't mind elaborating? Do you have a history of endometriosis or any chance of scar tissues in your Uterus? What's your AMH level? I guess that's the only possible ones to determine before you're on an IVF programme and have had the thorough diagnosis. I've had my baby through IVF when there was only as much as 30% chance of success. Assuming that there's no problem identifies with ovulation or egg quality you're possible at a better chance of having babies. If nothing works surrogacy could be your last resort... I'm pretty sure that's the last resort for everyone but there's still time to consider that option.... maybe when you've had an IVF and it didn't work while the second round don't give much hope for success either. Don't lose hope, not yet.. there must be some way... either to fight it or to circumvent it. Wish you luck on your fertility road!
  • I agree on the lack of creativity from biotexcom these days @dragonette505 . I mean this MUD seems like it just came out from Ted 2!

That one goes in the group of: I am beautiful and healthy, but my husband doesn't want my body ruined with pregnancy. OOOooo but I do think one biotex "girl" said because she was so thin for modeling she was unable to get preggers....
@adirat @tinjp78 If I had been smarter, I would've taken screen grabs of all of the good ones (including a few hilarious drive bys... anyone remember how lack of punctuation ruined a post that said something like: "I think I am pregnant and I am dying"???? I laughed for several days on that one... and put them all together on one mega thread that we could just add too :/
