DH is taking DS to a bday party and hauling crap to the dump so I’m going to go to the gym and grocery shopping. DS is going to spend the night at my parents. We were invited to a friends house tonight so we will see.
Tomorrow we we are going to IKEA to get the crib and a few other random things.
Went to our Babies r Us yesterday. The sell is only 10% off for most items. I am debating if I want to stalk the stores for the items to go down more. Other than that there is a spring fling in our neighborhood. Trying to get my self together to take my daughter.

I love Ikea. I have to eat at the restaurant every time I go.
My husband has a pretty gnarly cold, so not as much happening around here as we'd hoped. Plus it's been pouring all night and our yard is a squishy lake. It's still raining and it's as dark as 6am, so blah. Maybe after breakfast I'll knit.
More clothes! My loft jeans came and allllll the heart eyes. I outgrew the jeans I bought early on and have been wearing old gap skinny jeans from a previous preg. They are so horribly unflattering on me, the waist cuts into my fat and they sag and droop. I’m not being self deprecating, they really just look bad. Now that I put on these flattering comfy jeans I wantbto burn the old ones! Of course loft doesn’t have a code today to order jeans in a regular rinse and since there’s snow on the ground it feels weird to wear white jeans lol. Here’s a pic though! I got in 2 sizes. The smaller ones fit perfect right now but I don’t want to outgrow them so I’ll keep these. Ignore the mess lol

Ugh not good enough when I'll get 15% off on my amazon registry. I need a double stroller but BRU is like 40 minutes away and I don't want to chance going all the way there for no reason.
Finally coming out of hibernation. This past week I stepped away from social media/apps/friends. I was feeling overwhelmed, especially with the uncertainty of the sequential screening. Even with a good ultrasound, and a second talk with genetic counselour I still had a lot to process. It's taken a few days, but I'm starting to feel much better! Gonna do some springish cleaning this weekend woo
I’m getting my hair done today and I cannot wait. It was blue before it was purple and it’s so faded now it’s a nice combo of outgrown roots, grey, blue, and purple.
Also taking DS1 to a gymnastics class this morning to see how he likes it.
Taking it easy today, as per my doctor's orders. Laying around the house and then going to a bar with my husband so he can play bocce this afternoon. I don't mind because the bar has couches, so I'm gonna curl up with a book while him and our friends play.
My doctor said I need to put on more weight. My goal is six more pounds before my next appointment. I'm trying to find the balance between eating enough to gain weight but not forcing myself to eat when I'm not hungry so I don't feel sick.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!

I went to IKEA yesterday with my friend and our daughters and we had lunch and dropped the girls at smallville but they only take the kids for an hour and that is so not enough time to shop so we decided next time we are going without them!
Today I did yoga but now I just feel like doing nothing the rest of the day even though I should be cleaning up the house which looks like a bomb exploded in it
I had plans to go to the March for Our Lives this morning but have been feeling extra pregnant and exhausted, so we went to a little Easter egg thing at a local church instead. It was exactly my speed. H is at a conference so I’m sitting at chic fil a letting my kid run in the play area until he collapses. I’m thinking about mobile ordering an ice cream cone from my table. Lol.
@ecwk I took DH to the foo fighters concert for his birthday in October and they were amazing! I’d never heard them live and I was completely blown away. And they played like a 2 hour encore. Insane.
@pghctwife you look great! I didn’t realize Loft had a maternity line but now I’m going to need to look there.
delujm0 Inwouldnt drive 40 minutes. It seems like they are in no rush to lower the prices. People are buying the stuff at 10% off, so who knows what will be left when they lower the prices.
Easter Bunny visit this morning and DH and I are headed to a hotel for the night. DD is going to Grandma and Grandpa's and tomorrow we are spring cleaning her room and setting up her bunk bed!
@ssthomps I registered at target and have so far gotten 3 goodie bags because I just keep asking different people until they ask for my name. I’ve gotten four bottles, five pacifiers, and a slew of diaper, wipes, coupons, and samples. You don’t have to actually use the registry to get the welcome bag.
@ssthomps my main registry is through target. I think as far as registry places go, they have a broad variety of options. As far as the goody bag, I got a Dr. Browns bottle, 3 pacifiers, and some samples and coupons. Not bad for free I don't think!
Wait... Is the Easter bunny supposed to come today? I'm not 100% sure how Easter works. I just like the candy.
DH and I were debating celebrating Easter this morning. I always got a basket when I was little. He doesn't want to do it with our son, but I know if my mom gets a basket for my niece, she'll get one for my son. I wonder if there's a way to combine Easter and Passover.

Hi ladies! Now I really want to go to IKEA, but unfortunately there isn’t one close at all. We are going to see family in a few weeks though and there is one on our way home, so maybe we will try then! There was a community expo at our high school today, so we went to that. Lots of local businesses, booths, crafts, games, food. DS has fun and since we just moved to our town last summer it was nice to check a few things out! DS is napping, DH is doing yard work and I’m relaxing for a few. I just went to the meat market and got good steaks to cook tonight. I’m overly excited about dinner now!
Ugh. So we bought a quality crib, dresser, and changing table used that needs a coat of paint. DH knew that when we decided to buy it. Now he doesn't want to deal with it and just wants to use it as is... so it looks like im going to be sanding and painting all the furniture myself or deal with a husband who just bitches about it the whole time. Neither are really options that I'm looking forward to.
This snow is really putting a delay on things like sanding this furniture too because I really can't rationalize doing any work outside right now. Just want to be able to work while I have the time and energy...
@melbel0824 thanks! Yes it’s kinda $ imo but the quality is great. I love their belly bands on pants etc, way more supportive and they stay up so much better than gap etc.
ETA: And we did it all inside, basically no fumes. Just opened some windows.
ETA2: Here’s a pic. I have no before pics, unfortunately. DIY fail. I spray painted the knobs and we recovered the bench with fabric and a staple gun. It’s actually a vanity, but we keep DS’s socks, shoes, and ties in it.
@calimom2524 Have fun on your little vacation! I had my hair emerald green at one point, which faded to fungus color so I feel your pain!
@jsnakehole I think Easter and the Easter bunny come next Sunday? I had to ask my mom the other day. I grew up Catholic but got away from religion years ago. My parents would give me an Easter basket right on Easter so I think that's how it goes?
@lalala2004 thanks for the tip! Will definitely look into it! Only concern is that the paint on the crib is currently peeling in a few places so don't think it will be very smooth without stripping a bit of that off with sandpaper.
Yeah, Easter is next Sunday, April 1. We're not religious, so I've basically ignored everything but the chocolate for the last couple decades. But this year, I think DS will love an Easter egg hunt, so we're planning on heading up to my parents' again next weekend to do it with them. I think my mom is going to get a bunch of plastic eggs and put a couple of goldfish crackers in each one. Luckily, DS doesn't know it's supposed to be candy inside.
My experience with Target registries (although I haven't done one in a few years, I have nothing for this kid yet) is that the in store registry is pretty good, but the online stuff tends to disappear or drastically change price with no notice. And an awful lot of it is not available in stores, which is hard if people try to buy things in store. Overall, I find Target registries really frustrating.
AFM: I cut DS's hair this morning! I am very unreasonably proud of this. We bought some clippers a few months ago, but I've been too nervous to do it. It was actually really easy, and looks about as good as when we went to the kids' haircut place. And now he doesn't look super shaggy!
The only reason I know Easter is April 1 is because we get Good Friday off. And cadbury eggs are my favorite candy of all time. After Easter, you can buy them for like 10 cents a piece which makes me so excited.
I made a target registry for a few things and got the registry bag. Dude didn't ask me my name, so I will probably go get another Had a bottle, pacifiers, samples, and coupons.
Super excited because a good friend gave us his baby stuff this weekend - a crib, pack n play, one of those rocker/dock a tot things, a swing, and a high chair. We also bought our stroller today because we had a buy buy baby coupon. Its starting to feel so real!! Just got to get the room altogether.
We’re tiling the laundry room. We’d bought a lot of ceramic tile on clearance at Home Depot in the fall. DH decided we have enough left to eventually tile the upstairs bathroom, so we got a marble-look ceramic tile for the laundry room.
Hopefully we’ll be done by 8pm so we can eat dinner & get ready for all the festivities tomorrow. We have Scout Sunday at 10:30am, followed by my grandma’s 90th birthday party at 1pm. That will be attended by almost every adult who knew me as a child, so I’m bracing for a lot of pregnancy questions and a lot of “Are you going to keep trying for a girl?” Plus my mom put me in charge of making sure food dishes stay filled, which is such a great job for the still-throwing-up pregnant girl.
@Secretstapler I started cutting DS hair last summer and never looked back! DH has clippers and I hated paying the $$ to get it done, so one day I figured why not?! He actually thinks it’s fun when I do it!

Hello from Detroit!
@calimom2524 can’t wait for the after shot!!
Although we are going to be in Vegas for Passover, MIL wasn’t too happy about that.
