So I'm 13 weeks today and my boobs are majorly sore and heavy. I need the support of a bra, but once it's off I'm so relieved. Already increased bra size too.
@nlc8424 I feel the same way, 14w here. My super-stretchy old sports bras are my favorite thing right now, because they give the support but don’t feel like torture.
I’m almost 15 weeks and I am SO happy to say my nausea is going away and so are some of my food aversions! I’ve felt like mostly myself for about 3 days now! Hope my fellow MS/nausea-sufferers are almost out of the woods as well. @nlc8424 and @MandyMost, I couldn’t agree more about the boobs. The second my front door closes, the bra comes off.
Anyone else noticing the less obvious symptoms? The pregnancy brain and my complete lack of ability to hold onto things-I just drop everything. Not the best traits in bartending or waitressing.

Food aversions have kicked in now?! Boobs are def bigger, switched bra sizes and am so much more comfy. Milder symptoms during the day, but evenings still suck. DH still has yet to see me function other than in zombie mode.
I swear, I was all curled up last night and felt a big ol goldfish rolling over in there. It’s wayyy early, but I don’t know what else it would have been, my stomach wasn’t having issues at that time.

Haven’t dry heaved in a week! Still have mild nausea and food aversions. Mostly ok during the day but evenings are still survival mode.
Headaches have started but extra water and some coffee helps.
Are cramps still normal in second trimester? I’ve been getting some near my bad tube. Is it just stretching/growing pains? I have an appointment on the 20th so I’ll ask then but wanted to hear yall’s experience.
@jhjocelyn I think I’ve been feeling movement for a couple weeks now. Kind of like bubbles but it’s not gas. It might not be too early!
@pourmeamocktail I think I’ve been driving H nuts with my baby brain! So bad lately!
Oh my, I’m so very stupid. I’ll vouch that pregnancy brain just turns to mom brain and never goes away, plus now I’ve got pregnancy brain on top of my new baseline dumbness. And still hating any big quantity of meat in any form. No more nausea, though, yay! I hope the ladies with bad MS get a break soon!
I’m jealous of the boobs. Since I weaned DS a few weeks ago, I’m sad and deflated instead of the nice pregnancy round and plump. I never planned on BFing and being pregnant, so this is very odd to me! Im hoping they catch up soon.
@jhjocelyn The goldfish sensations are starting for me too! I’m 15 weeks tomorrow and a STM, so it’s possible! I feel like baby moves are more superficial to the skin/outside rather than deeper gas bubbles. Plus I can usually tell gas apart because it’s quickly followed by mega-toots lately.
@pourmeamocktail I’ve had serious pregnancy brain since like week 6 haha. Pretty sure baby’s gonna be really clever bc he’s taking alllll my common sense.
@SkilledSailor I had cramps for what seemed like almost the whole dang pregnancy last time. And not just little cramps, but full on pms style cramps. Obviously always ask your doc, blah blah blah, but yeah, for me and some of my other mom friends it was totally normal.
@SkilledSailor glad your nausea is finally kicking the bucket, I remember you saying how miserable it was! As for the cramping, I regularly get menstral-like cramping across my lower abdo and remember I did for my last two as well. I’m assuming it’s stretching of the ute, but if yours is one sided that could potentially be something else and worth looking into.
@jhjocelyn I have been feeling the same rolling sensation. I think it is baby? I felt the same going around 17 weeks with my 1st but I’m thinking because I’m familiar with the feeling is why it’s noticeable earlier this time. I feel it most when I lay on my back but I’m 14 weeks 5 days.
My symptoms basically disappeared. Aside from mild nausea and once in awhile uncomfortably sore boobs. I’ll take it
@amanduhtm I’m only 12 weeks today, google says the earliest stm’s feel it is 13... so i’m super unsure now. In the moment though, it was totally a flashback feeling to dd and there was no reason for other gurgles happening at the time!

At my ultrasound today, there were huge gas bubbles (tech’s words) right between the uterus and the wand (so where flutters and rolls would be felt). Even as a stm, I am skeptical of the super early movement. While it is possible, it is unlikely and that visual really drove home exactly where the gas is that can cause those sensations.
Almost 15 weeks and still vomiting some days. Nausea is much better, usually only a little queasiness every now and then, or just sudden vomiting with no warning. I'm jealous of myself last pregnancy because I was definitely enjoying some milkshakes and other cravings by this point. But this time I can think of things that I want to treat myself to but then when it comes down to it I'm not interested in actually eating any of it. I also get full really quickly which didn't happen until the end last time. This time I felt the first flutters at 12w4d and continued to feel them a lot every day. But it seems like as soon as I hit 14 weeks, I haven't felt anything. I was always feeling them on my left side so I wonder if baby has changed position and maybe my placenta is on the right?? (I have been able to find heartbeat on my Doppler since the flutters went away.) Trying not to obsess over weight, but I did really well last time only gaining 10lbs like I should, but I'm really scared I'm going to gain a bunch this time. I weighed like 10lbs less a week after delivery than I did before getting pregnant with my first. I realize that's not typical, but I think I'm still holding myself to that standard.
@born2run911@stothi Thank you for your input! I'm thinking it is the scar tissue on my tube/ovary that's getting stretched or pushed but I'll still be bringing it up to the midwife next week.
@car0liiine If you're not able to eat much, I wouldn't worry about gaining too much weight. I'm in a similar nausea boat and have only gained a couple of pounds, which I'm assuming is all baby, placenta, uterus, water weight.
Almost 12 weeks, Feeling ok, nausea in the evening still. Some light cramping at times, dull, stretchy feeling. Some energy has returned, I felt really good on my run today and was hitting close to pre pregnancy paces with only moderate effort. Thank you @born2run911@stothi for the input re: cramping, Will mention it to my doc obviously but nice to hear I am not alone. @SkilledSailor super happy your horrendous MS is improving some. Hope the evenings get better. @jhjocelyn super exciting to feel any kind of movement I am all about the comfy sports bras too these days

I've had severe headaches lately, even some migraines but I think they were more due to school related stress than being pregnant. I had a final last week as well as two midterms. I talked with my old boss (a neurosurgeon) and he said it was safe to use massage therapy on my neck and head to relieve the headache symptoms, since I was limited in the medicine that I can take. I used a hand held deep tissue massager (I think it was $35 on Amazon) and it worked for the headaches!! Just wanted to let you all know that it does help with headaches.
I've also been extremely hungry. I want to eat everything in sight. I've been wanting strawberries and bananas as much as hamburgers and potatoes. The only aversions I guess I have are to fresh pineapple and oranges. They leave a nasty after taste in my mouth.
@smsaulino +1 to headaches and hunger. Both don't help the nausea.

Ugh. My heart feels like it's racing/skipping a beat today. I know it can happen during pregnancy with all the extra blood flow but it's annoying. Definitely bringing it up when I call tomorrow morning to reschedule my cancelled appt.

@knitknitread makes me so happy to see you say the nausea is getting better! Fx it just keeps on getting better and you feel more and more like yourself.
@DanyTargaryen I’m sorry! That is the worst feeling. I have had it a couple times the last few weeks, but it doesn’t usually last very long so I haven’t been overly worried.
Nausea has gotten a bit better since I hit 12 weeks... or so I thought. That is, until I was bending over a trash can this morning. So tired of bland foods
I think my biggest issue right now is I still get so short of breath like I just ran a marathon and all I did was walk across the parking lot to my car. I am 12+2 and other symptoms have decreased greatly. Still some food aversion but not terrible. As a previous L&D nurse...do not google! Google can be your worst enemy and stress you out which you definitely don't need. I know it is so easy to want to just find a quick answer but often times the results just lead to more questions. Also, it is not too early at this point to feel true flutters Everything is dependent on you and your body. Always remember...you and your pregnancy are uniqie....don't let anyone, especially google, tell you otherwise or try to knock down your instincts
Three nights in a row, my body has rejected the vegetables eaten throughout the day. I’ll be fine and then getting ready for bed- puke, but only vegetables. All the protein, carbs, and sweets I’ve eaten stay down. So weird.
I'm at 11+5. Other than being tired, and my boobs being a little bit sore, my symptoms have basically gone away. It's been a mixture of nerve wracking and nice to be able to get things accomplished.
I need some advice. I’m feeling pretty frustrated with being constipated, I mean very very constipated... my prenatal has 27mg of iron in it and I’m getting all the protein I need every day and taking a fiber supplement and I can’t poop. Usually on the third day of not pooping and looking like I’m 6 months pregnant I have to double up my fiber and skip my prenatal so that I can make things happen. And then I start the prenatals again and the whole process starts over. I got some new prenatals that only have 18mg of iron. Do I really need 27mg of iron???? Does anyone else take only 18 mg? I am just at my wits end, bloated, constipated and when I take tons of fiber it translates into A LOT of gas and even more pressure and discomfort... please help.
@adirat we are definitely HG sisters! Sorry you had a rough morning. The new meds seem to be working pretty well, when taken at regular intervals, at keeping the vomiting away, but the nausea is something fierce! Yesterday I had a break from the terrible nausea and it was nice to feel like getting off the couch for once.
Cucumbers are a staple in our house right now. Prior to pregnancy I was a huge meat eater now it doesn’t even appeal to me.
@orangebubbles are you taking a probiotic? I started taking them because I was on antibiotics but I've kept taking them cause it really seems to help with keeping my poops right. Unless your doctor has given you specific instructions about the amount of iron they want you to take, I don't think it really matters. I've had 2 doctors ask if I'm taking a prenatal and both times I said "yes, do you want to know what kind," and both times they said they didn't care at all as long as I was taking one. You can also try getting a prenatal without iron and take your iron separately so you can skip your iron occasionally without skipping everything else.
@klj0228 Same -- my husband jokes we are having a vegetarian baby. I can eat an egg occasionally but all meat repulses me now. Some days I can eat cheese but even that is mostly a vehicle for more vegetables...like today my husband brought home a fresh mozzarella which I ate a little of on top of a lot of tomato slices and basil.
@orangebubbles My PNV has 18mg iron. My experience is like @stothi -- my docs haven't cared which kind as long as it's a PNV.
@orangebubbles My PNV has no iron and I do not take iron because of the constipation issue. My OB is fine with it as long as I try to get iron rich foods in while pregnant. It’s not worth the amount of laxatives I would have to take to keep regular.
Ugh. My heart feels like it's racing/skipping a beat today. I know it can happen during pregnancy with all the extra blood flow but it's annoying. Definitely bringing it up when I call tomorrow morning to reschedule my cancelled appt.
Quoting myself with an update in case anyone else has something similar happen. The fast heartbeat/skipping a beat thing is still happening so I talked to my OB about it at my physical. Apparently while it could be nothing, she wants me evaluated immediately. My OB set up an appointment with my primary this afternoon and the OB was talking potentially needing to see a cardiologist or heading to the ER for an EKG if a cardiologist couldn't get me in fast enough.
