I slept extra late and that seems to have gotten rid of the worst of my headache. I'm trying to squeeze in an hour or two of cleaning since we'll be having more guests as of Tuesday night. I still have to do some school work and my husband got us tickets to some comedy thing tonight. I'm hoping I don't end up with a migraine like I did yesterday.

@amac12999 thanks, he's doing so much better today than last night. Those long nights are hard but I'm really hopeful now the worst is behind us. @jsnakehole I'm glad you're feeling better today!
@meeks2020 so sorry about your kiddo! Kinda sounds like what's going on with mine. Hope he's doing betterm
@juliebird6 love the Traverse! My mom has one and it was my other pick when we went car shopping before.
DS is still sick with 101 to 102 temp. I cleaned earlier and now I am having really achy cramp like pains. Not RLP. Like angry uterus. Also my lab is shedding so much I literally swept enough for another whole dog this morning. And I just swept Friday night. In the market for a robot vac now haha.
@meeks2020 we’re in the same boat this weekend. DS had a cold Thursday Friday and yesterday afternoon spiked a fever. Woke up this morning without one but he’s bein a super crab. Thankfully I just gently suggested he take a nap and he walked into our bedroom and laid down so, that’s good. He must still not be feeling awesome. Glad your little guy is doing better today too!
August '18 March Siggy Challenge - You had ONE JOB
New mom wheels! Thank god we found something too because getting DD in and out of my old Cruze had seriously escalated into a full-on battle every day. Also, DST can suck it. My kid was up at 5:30 and is refusing a second nap. Ugh.
Hi ladies! Hope everyone is having a good weekend! The concert last night was AMAZING!! Even if you don’t love her music, Pink is an amazing performer. I was in awe of her last night and it was so fun having a night with my sister! Time change + DST is the worst. Even though for good reason, I was up super late last night I a timezone an hour behind my normal. We are getting takeout tonight and I’m sitting on the couch as much as possible! Plus DS was up early all weekend. Early bedtimes for everyone tonight!
@juliebird6 - you sound like us. We never do anything fancy and this new car has a heated steering wheel and built in WiFi hotspot. And I’m shook. Lol. I can’t even find the dome light button. But will make our trip to Florida next week a breeze!!
Omg a built in WiFi hotspot in the car would be a dream! Nice.
I’m sorry for all the sick kiddos and hope everyone feels better soon. Ds woke up with a cough this morning and is now starting to lose his voice. Poor kid.
This weekend has been crap. DS1 has this funky cold/pink eye in both eyes/an ear infection so he’s been a real treat. I broke my foot this morning and I’m pretty sure nobody believes how I did it; I stubbed my pinky toe on DS1’s leg while assisting him up the stairs to timeout. My whole foot is black, blue, and purple and it’s throbbing up through my ankle. Ughhhhhhhh.
Warning: lots of word vomit. So y’all know how I said I was starting to be less nauseous? I need to just STFU. Threw up all my lunch earlier while I was loading the washer. Even with taking my anti-nausea meds, I’ve been fighting not to throw up all day. DH is getting annoyed with me because I’m dragging so much and feel so awful most of the time. I’m annoyed with myself too, but at the same time I just want to smack him.
He’ll say that he’s going to do something to help me, but then he doesn’t. So I do whatever it is, and he gets annoyed with me for doing it because he was going to. But he didn’t. So he gets other ideas in his head of things that will “help” me, but they don’t really help, and he wastes a lot of time that he could’ve spent actually being helpful. And then he gets mad at me for being annoyed with him trying to “help.” But if he would’ve just asked me in the first place what needed done, I could’ve given him a huge list. But he doesn’t ask, because he gets in his head that he knows everything and shouldn’t have to ask. And then I get tired quickly, because I’m working my ass off to do what needs done while he’s fucking around. And he gets annoyed with me for wearing myself out when I should be resting. But if I’m in the bedroom resting, nothing gets done. And in his eyes all of this is a lie and he’s been single-handedly keeping the house spotless for months. In reality, the house is far from spotless, and if it wasn’t for Roomba running every night we’d probably be living in filth.
he’ll say something like “I don’t know why that takes you so long, it’d take me 5 mins.” Yep, it probably would. Except you didn’t do it because you were helping DS find Legos for two hours. So I did it, and it took me longer, but it’s done. Stop fucking bitching and say that you’re sorry you didn’t do it for me.
18w 3d today. I honestly think it’s just really bad ms, and the tiredness is from not getting a ton of calories. I definitely overdid it yesterday when we were out of town, so that probably didn’t help either.
@melprop ugh, that’s sooo annoying. My H sounds pretty similar. Super frustrating even on a good day, but definitely worse when you feel like crap. Hope your nausea gets better soon.
@melprop and @calimom2524 I'm so sorry to hear the weekends for you have been sucky.. Hope everyone starts to feel better soon.
H and I took a little weekend getaway this weekend. We went to a Ren Faire a short drive away then stayed the night out of town. It was great fun, but I'm glad to be home and be off this week for spring break!
Also, we learned that H's best friend is giving us a lot of baby stuff... a crib, pack n' play, high chair, clothes and lots of other stuff.. We just need to find time to get to Dallas to get it, but we're super excited to save that money.
@Firemanswife11 we got a roomba 980 for christmas. Our polydactyl cat drags litter throughout our house(not to mention fur) since the litter gets stuck between her extra toes. Roomba, also known as Black Hole, has been life changing. I highly recommend getting a robo vac for any pet owner. I still go over with a regular vaccum, and still sweep just not nearly as frequently (every 2-3 days) instead of multiple times a day.
We also have a Roomba that we got for Christmas. Between our dogs, cats, and rabbit we used to have fur everywhere. Roomba has been life-changing. All our floors are hardwood or tile, and I rarely vacuum the main floor with my Dyson anymore. Roomba picks up all the animal hair, DS’s crumbs, dirt from DH’s shoes, and whatever else is around the house. It even vacuumed under the couch.
My husband wants a roomba, but only to turn it into DJ Roomba like on 'Parks and Rec'. My dad used to vacuum our house every day, so I've had to get used to living in a house that feels dirty by comparison (but realistically isn't).
The comedy show was actually pretty good. Seeing friends do stand up usually goes one of two ways, and so I was pleasantly surprised. It almost made me miss doing stand up myself. Also, apparently I can no longer laugh really hard without nearly peeing. I spent the whole show with my legs crossed between that and my baby deciding that the perfect response to me laughing was to put pressure on my cervix. I guess he was mad I woke him up.

Hi all. I’ve been MIA and mostly lurking and liking posts. DDs birthday party was today and everything went great. Thank goodness the snow held off, though if it snows a lot tonight, daycare might be cancelled tomorrow
DS has the flu. Tested positive this evening at pediatric urgent care. And I was uber exposed to him all weekend. I mean, I basically ate snot and cough particles. He's 3 and has no idea about how to keep his germs to himself besides covering his mouth when he coughs. Snot? Wipe that on mama. Plus DS has asthma so I am a ball of nerves. Irony is that he probably picked the flu up at his pulmonogist appointment on Friday.
So...
I am taking Tamiflu, again. I already took that shit at 9 weeks. The on-call OB said to take it even though I have already taken it this season. I'll see what my OB says tomorrow. I hate Tamiflu.
Annnnnnd SO is back to Florida. This was his last flight home. Next week we are driving down to spend the last couple weeks with him. I’m so ready for him to be back home all the time.
I miss him so much. Just need the next ten days to fly.
@mozartsmuse - Happy Birthday to your little one! Glad the party went well! @dirtanddiamonds - Yay for your Florida trip coming up! And it sounds like he will be home for good soon! @Firemanswife11 - oh no! I'm so sorry! I hope your DS starts to feel better soon! @jsnakehole - I love our Roomba. His name is Simon and he comes out to do battle with DS about every 3 days. He gets lost or stuck occasionally so we have to have a whole 'rescue Simon' thing and we make a big production about lecturing Roomba about where he just can't go. @derbysquirrel - I get out of breath walking in to my office from my car in the morning, big props to you for still being able to work out for an hour and a half! @hezzer78 - that sounds like an amazing weekend! And yay for all the baby things! We need a nursery inspiration thread soon because I think it'll be a topic of conversation soon! @melprop - I'm so sorry. I agree so much with what the other ladies have said. I had a similar situation with DH and I just sat down with him and said that I'm not 100% up to doing everything I used to do. Here are my expectations, we're splitting things 50/50. He'll get over it and if it doesn't get done that's no longer on you. @ecwk posted an article a while ago about men vs. women and the household responsibilities thought process. It was perfect and maybe using that to form a conversation with DH would help. All the hugs, it's not easy. And I'm so sorry you're still feeling so sick! @calimom2524 - oh no! I'm so so sorry! I hope DS feels better and that you can stay off your feet and rest today! And yes to the Orbit, I read great reviews and would love one but we're re-using DS's Britax for this baby. But if I had a choice... @ladygali - Ugh, I'm sorry about your little one feeling crummy and losing his voice! Any improvement this morning? And so glad you enjoyed Rent! @lolog531 - YAY! So glad you enjoyed the concert!!! @juliebird6 - love it! Congratulations on the new ride! @hardlyhannah - how is your DS feeling today? @meeks2020 - oh my goodness, I hope DS starts to feel better soon! How is he this morning? @melissaf22 - the playroom looks amazing! Ours is in need of some TLC in case you find yourself in St. Louis lol! @amac12999 oh boy, good luck with the potty training! @doctormom33 - wow! Looks like you're all set through August! That's fantastic and so generous! @brzvice - I lol'd a lot at that gif, thank you! @msmonalisavito - I'm sorry for the sleep regression. I really hope it passes soon! @homequiltingmama - I love baby showers of all varieties! I hope you had a great time @livinthesunnylife - how did the swim lessons go? I think we are starting DS in April. @elsieisamoocow - we went through DS's baby clothes a few weekends ago and I was bawling over the little sleepers and itty bitty socks! You forget how tiny newborns are! Good luck sorting! @ssthomps - how did the house hunting go? @ecwk - how was your movie date night? That sounds like an absolutely wonderful way to spend a weekend night! @rocknrollmom - YES to the weird dreams! We had to stop watching Law and Order SVU before bed because my dreams were terrifying! So we switched to Bridezillas lol! @delujm0 - have an AMAZING time at Disney!
I think I got everyone We had a really low-key weekend. Lots of financial planning and talk while we come up with a plan while DH is out of work. Adulting (and DST) can fuck off. Seriously.
@Firemanswife11 Oh no! You have my sympathies I hope he gets better soon @mrsbubbles-2 he's doing a lot better now, thank you for asking! Saturday night must have been the peak. Thankfully it looks like it's on its way out
He was fine yesterday, didn't have a temperature until bedtime and even then it was only 100 so we didn't do anything about it. We had a really rough night though. He woke up around 10:30 when DH and I were going to bed and I was snuggling him trying to get him back down and he asked to go to mommy and daddy's bed. When I said no he got really quiet and then started super sobbing for real. It was so pathetic I had to say yes, but then he flopped around all fricken night and I think I am operating on maybe four hours of sleep. It's going to be a loooooong day.

Thanks! I'm not sure yet, I'm having x-rays done today. Urgent care referred me to a specialist today, they didn't take x-rays because it was so swollen and because I'm pregnant they felt I should only get them done once with a specialist. For now I'm just in the ugly shoe thing and on crutches.
