@Firemanswife11 lol, no. That's honestly the only thing the Frank's sees action for in this house, eggs. Now the cock sauce (sriracha), that goes on almost everything.
@neeraja_k I always wondered wondered who TF ate the jello at the Chinese buffet? O guess I have to try it now though, I'm intrigued.
AFM I can't wait til August so I can eat the hospital food. A little menu I choose what I want for breakfast lunch and dinner and whatever beverages I want? Yes please. l also love all the little containers and receptacles the food items come in once it is delivered. Bonus- our hospital provides Mom AND dad a special one time meal of our choice from their "fancier" menu. Steak, shrimp etc. it wasn't the greatest quality cut but the gesture still was special.
ETA- @doctormom33 YAS girl. Give me all the food. Not picky at all.
@brzvice heck no to the hospital food. It might just be our hospital, but BARF. I will want something substantial and greasy and terrible for me. Not reconstituted cardboard mixed with whatever gloop they manage to ruin in the kitchen. Ordered a bacon burger last time, and it was the most disappointing "meal" ever. I then made H run to get me a Dairy Queen burger and a blizzard, in the middle of a blizzard. Also, SRIRACHA IS LIFE!
Our hospital has amazingly good food. Even their dietary restricted foods were delicious. I often pop into the cafeteria when I'm down there for their country fried steak and mashed potatoes and gravy. It's like real whole mashed potatoes with little bits of skin in there.
Hospital food was AMAZING! But I was also induced and didn't get to eat or drink anything for almost 48 hours. So I would have probably eaten cardboard.
@livinthesunnylife - same. But they made me eat two meals before I was cut off and they were both so good! This time DH will be bringing me a sushi platter as soon as I'm stitched up lol!
The food where I delivered the boys in Texas was ok, nothing to write home about, but they had some bomb desserts. I hate that I'm going to be at a new hospital this time, I have no idea what the food is like. Luckily there's lots of restaurants around so I'll be sending someone out as soon as baby girl is born. As soon a DS2 was born and everything was ok with him I made exH go get me whataburger and a huge shake. It was the best meal.
Texas girls, whataburger has THE BEST ketchup, amirite?!
I loved that my hospital would come around with snacks in the middle of the night. Cottage cheese and fruit platters were my favorites and within my carb limit at the time. I love having the food brought to me put hate that I am restricted. I just pushed a baby out give me the chocolate cake dammit! This whole thread has me salivating, except for the eggs. I can still do hard boiled and love egg salad just not cooked at the moment. Silly pregnancy.
Frank's hot sauce was my major craving with DD and DH caught me often trying to drink it from the industrial size jug we had in the fridge. Hated BBQ with her and now I have been craving it on everything the last couple of days.
My UO food addition is... I hate celery and fish. Love shrimp and lobster and will eat tuna in sandwich spread but anything else, bluh.
Hot sauce is like another food group for me. I do literally put it on everything, eggs, fries, veggie burger, Mexican food, all the foods. It gives me indigestion while I'm pg though
I made myself egg salad for lunch, and have a bowl of jello cooling in the fridge! I'm not a ketchup fan, and will only use a tiny amount on a hotdog. Nothing else. BBQ sauce is usually worse though, both are WAY too sweet for my taste.

Am I the only one that has no appetite after giving birth? Both times I felt kind of nauseous for a few hours afterward and they were both born in the evening so I didn’t really eat until the next day.
I was on hospital bed rest with DS for 5 weeks and had to live on their food. Some was ok, but a good half of the time I’d have DH or my mom bring me food. The only thing I ever looked forward to was the chocolate cake that came with lunch on Mondays. They don’t (or at least in 2015 didn’t) do a special meal for new parents, which I was so envious of when friends had a nice steak and champagne dinner! I’ll just have someone bring me in-n-out

I say noot-ella because I first encountered Nutella in Italy many years ago, and that's how they pronounce it there.
The food at my hospital is super awesome but the kitchen closes at 7pm. This didn't bother me after having DD1 but after DD2 I was SO FUCKING HUNGRY late at night and couldn't do anything about it. I will bring more snacks this time.
I can’t even remember hospital food last time. I’m sure I ate but don’t even know what! I really wanted fries and by the time I was done getting cleaned up DHs best friend got me some McDonalds because it was so late.
Hate jello and raisins. Vanilla > Chocolate I like mustard over ketchup. Ketchup is too sweet for me - Trader Joe’s has some that I actually like though. It’s amazing as far as ketchup goes! BBQ sauce - only a few brands I like because also too sweet and artificial tasting IMO. Most have corn syrup as the first ingredient and I’m not an all natural person, but that shit is nasty. Dislike mayo, so dislike most salads. Hot sauce is amazing on anything. So is siracha. There is also this garlic chili sauce that i put on so much stuff. Do not like Nutella. My hospital’s food is meh. There’s a lot of good places right by it though. After DS I hadn’t eaten or drank in over 30 hours, so the chicken fingers and fries I first ordered was the best meal of my life.
My UO - I’ll keep on the food train. I hate Starbucks coffee. All of it. I cant stand oatmeal. The consistency grossed me out and even making it for DS is disgusting to me.
Y'all inspired me to look up the food at my hospital. It's all kosher. Which is either good or terrible. There is no in between. Hopefully it's dairy, not meat. I have a feeling my husband and friends will be sneaking me in some good stuff.

Catching up after no power. Jello is alright Chocolate always and forever Frank's is the best. Love mayo, but what the hell is a ham salad? Nutella is alright, but a little too sweet. My hospital food was pretty decent. I think I mostly ate a chicken cutlet sandwich with fries for every meal.
My hospital food was ok, but I was sooooooooo hungry that it was never enough. I need to pack more snacks, too.
This time, I’m planning to go dairy free at around 8 months. Both of my boys had dairy issues, so I had to go dairy free a few weeks after they were born (and we figured out the culprit). So, this time I’m going DF as a precaution. Not sure what that will mean for my hospital meals. I’ll need to brush up on my dairy free fast food options and have DH on standby.
This is what I had for lunch today. Pregnancy makes me crave all the stuff I ate as a kid!
And I've always thought of it as Nu(new)-tella. I remember my mom buying it when I was a kid and it seemed like a "new" peanut butter. I'm not sure I've ever tried it bc my mom convinced me it was for her diet.
UO: I can eat non breakfast food for breakfast. Left over Thai and pizza make for the best.
I love most food. And since we are talking about old people food...I used to hate bread pudding but I finally tried it one day and became obsessed.
I bought two giant things of nutella at costco. And we have barely eaten any of it. It’s definitely a dessert. So I just don’t know when it’s appropriate to eat it or how...
Speaking of hospital food - I went home 2/3 hours after having both kids, so at the hospital after DS1 I don't think they gave me any food. I gave birth to DS2 at a birth centre and I remember from the tour they had these amazing menus and promised you a super fancy meal after. Well I gave birth on Boxing Day so the place was operating on reduced staff and I got no fancy meal, just some toast with PB that my midwife popped in the toaster I am still bitter about that.
When I got home with DS1 though I had my BF bring me an awesome burger and fries, mmm. Also, my parents always bring a birthday cake the day my kids are born with the number "0" on it since they are 0 years old... someone did it when I was born so they have liked doing it for my kids. We all have a piece and then I get to eat leftover cake the next few days, so win-win.
