Salt salt and more salt! The other day, I was eating regular Lays, with a pickle on top. My fingers were so swollen the next day! I’m having a pretty big aversion to sweet things. Even ginger ale is too sweet.

Have you tried some of the smaller brands? I can’t remember the name, but one of the brands my local Whole Foods wanna be store carries is really spicy, but very little sweet.

Right now, I’m finishing a case of Canada Dry. I also bought some Reed’s ginger beer. I’m really obsessed with ginger tea right now too.
Having trouble with eating any meats as a main dish. Ground meat mixed with other stuff isn't too bad. Really wanted pickles an Doritos last night, with brownies and ice cream to top it off. It was late though so I didn't bother. Today I did end up picking up some pickles though and raspberries, strawberries, grapefruit. Fruit is my best friend right now. I've noticed even water from time to time is the cause of my nausea. That really sucks. For the most part I'm trying to be healthy but it's really hard when most healthy things make me sick and all my cravings are literally junk food! Besides bananas..
@indias95 I'm having the same problem with meat. I try to have a small portion with meals, but i eat a few bites and I want to hurl. But that seems to be his most meals are going for me, nothing sounds good. I'm always hungry but I eat anything healthy and I feel nauseous. I'm mostly eating Mac and cheese, crackers, clementines, cereal. Had Doritos yesterday they were so good.
My problem is that anytime I find something that sounds good and it eat it, the aftertaste makes it seem awful and I can't it eat again. I had a great meal of summer rolls with tofu over the weekend, but now the smell of the peanut sauce when I open the fridge makes me want to hurl.
I keep eating the same sandwich darned near every day - ham, brie and pear on a baguette with honey mustard sauce and arugula. It's so damn good, forbidden foods be damned
All I can seem to eat is toast with butter sometimes pb, those chocolate chip mini muffins that come four to a bag, and granola bars, I need to start buying fruits and vegetables and hope It doesn't make me nauseous
@mamabearcj Yes to the clementines! I had to have DH eat one because I didn’t know if they were a really good batch or if I’m just losing my mind. I’ve eaten like eight of them in two days.
I usually eat really healthy, my coworkers and friends always make comments about how I never eat junk food ever. But all I can stomach these days is white cheddar cheez it’s and brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts... I have been able to squeeze in a salad if there’s a lot of Italian dressing on it, the vinegar of the dressing make that doable. I always told myself I would eat so well when I was pregnant but there’s no way..!! I have way too many aversions. I even have to brush my teeth after I eat because the taste in my mouth makes me nauseous. I try to eat other things and can only have a few bites.
@aves360 I 2nd this. I tried eating a Greek salad which is my favorite and it made me gag! I'm pretty sure it was the vinegar in it because I tried to have some gerhkin pickels and had the same reaction!

All the clementines for me too! They’re just the right balance of tart, sweet, and juicy. @tinattt23 I ate 8 of them last night so now I feel like a giant pig! They were just so good and hey, it’s fruit. Better than brownies right?
@kiwi2628 I can imagine!! How do you deal with that bloat? Nobody ever said anything to me about the no pooping thing happening this early! I feel like I’m growing a giant poop baby instead of a tiny human.
Edit: sorry for posting about poop on the food page lol
@jynjer91 it helps that I wear scrubs everyday so I don't have my stomach being constantly squished. But I feel like my abdomen is heavy right where my colon lives and I look in the mirror and I look HUGE. I, too, have a poop baby
I have a box of vanilla wafers of my desk to snack on throughout the day. I just noticed the banana pudding recipe on the back and now I need banana pudding. I have a super yummy recipe, but am missing like half the ingredients. I’m considering guilting DH into going to the store, but then I’d still have to make it. My craving and laziness are at a stalemate. There’s also a strong possibility I’d take two bites and decide it’s nasty. Such is life.
@pumpkinpancake I had an aversion to sweet foods until yesterday I had to go buy myself a chocolate cake to eat straight out of the box it came in Fortunately I'm picky about freshness so I'll toss it before I'm able to finish it. I hope.
All the apples. I don't even really like apples all that much, but right now I want to eat all the apples and apple sauce and apple juice. And pineapple. So weird. And now also banana pudding, thanks @tinattt23.

My appetite has been just fine. My problem is an awful taste in my mouth that is almost constant, so I end up eating lots of snacks trying to mask the taste - basically whatever I can cram into my lunch box which this week has been some kind of combination of bananas, grapes, beef jerky, ritz crackers, fruit snacks, french bread, granola or fruit bars, hershey bars... I also keep raiding the candy bowls at work for small hard candies I can take my time eating. I got a mini bag of m&ms to last by just holding them in my mouth one by one till they melted away.
Everything in sight. It’s my not-super-helpful response to nausea. I know it’s weird, but I’d rather have something in my stomach if I throw up, rather than just bile. Also, I’m up 7lbs at 9+ weeks. I’m going to go ahead and blame twins and not my crap-tasting diet so far.
I have terrible nausea all day so most days I just eat a little bit of whatever I can get down. I get very sick eating anything spicy or acidic including tomatoes so I've had to be very creative with cooking since many of our meals include one or both of those. I eat the same breakfast every day (fried egg and cheese bagel). Oddly enough plain water makes me gag so I have had a hard time drinking it. I mostly drink apple or grape juice which I almost never drank previously.
I was good and had a fruit/spinach smoothie this morning for my snack, but now I desperately want to get an order of fries with the lunch I brought to work today. Someone please talk me off the ledge!

This may be common knowledge, but research has shown that meat aversion is probably evolved to prevent parasites early in pregnancy.

Ironically, I'm a vegetarian and this stupid ad on my FB feed from one of the meal delivery services makes me drool every single time I see it. I'd probably feel differently, but dayum do I want to nom that!!! I think it's this recipe.

I just had a package of ramen noodles. It was soooo good.
I might have to make another package...
Also, all of the peanut butter.
Otherwise, fuck it! You earned those damn french fries!
