Thoughts on the middle name

We are having a girl and we have had the name Ava picked out for along time. But can't seem too fully decide on a middle name.
We were thinking Ava Rae or Rey. What are your thoughts

An acquaintance of mine actually has a daughter named Ava Rey. The husband is a huge Star Wars fan.

I think Rae looks better than Rey.

I would suggest a longer family name with meaning, rather than just a one syllable "filler name." Look to grandmothers,  great grandmothers, even family surnames. I think a name like Ava Pearl (any grandmother's name) or Ava Randolph (any family surname) is much more interesting than Ava Rae.
