How many weeks are you/baby's size? 15 weeks! An apple

How are you feeling? Still battling the insomnia. I don't think I'll ever get that rumored magical energy burst of 2nd tri if this keeps up. 3am and I have gotten to know each other really well at this point

Any appts this week? Appointment with my regular OB on Monday, probably just the standard pee in the cup, doppler, questions? nope, bye! I am excited about the doppler though, I still haven't managed to find the hb on my home doppler but I chalk that up more to my crappy doppler thing than anything to worry about

Rants/raves/questions? Just meh. DH and I are going through a rough patch lately. We talked it out last weekend and I think we're back on the same page but I still feel like there's some tension. And a guy that I know in my building saw me yesterday for the first time in about a month and said "You're pregnant as hell!" I know he meant it as excited / yay for baby but still... The same body insecurities I've been fighting came back in a rush and I felt kinda icky the rest of the day. Sorry to be such a debbie downer...

GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet? I have way too many leggings and they're so comfortable. I don't have the self confidence to wear them outside of the house but that moment I get to ditch my work pants and switch to stretchy pants is magical.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 14 Weeks. A peach. 

How are you feeling? I feel ginormous but,I feel pretty good. Other than that like @mrsbubbles-2 I am still having trouble sleeping. I thought it went away because I had some really good nights at the beginning of the week. But, then last night was horrible! 

Any appts this week?  No not until the 9th which seems so far away. I did get blood drawn for the NIPT on Monday so hopefully everything comes back ok. 

Rants/raves/questions?  None that I can think  of. 

GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet? I have a polka dotted Motherhood Maternity top I got a Macy's that I really love right now. I am in a battle with my clothes right now. I am in maternity pants all the way and I have a few maternity tops and but everything else looks like crap. It took me 4 trys to find a shirt to wear today that I felt good in.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 15 weeks, a navel orange. I don't think they mean the Texas-sized ones, though. 

How are you feeling? Lots of headaches. Feeling...fat. I had a week or so of looking pregnant and I somehow packed on 5 lbs this week and I just look bloated and gross. Even with working out this time around, I'm gaining at about the same rate so W-T-F. Haha. @Brezzy1928 @mrsbubbles-2 also not sleeping well unless I take Unisom, which I am trying to limit to every other day or so. But I've been on call this week overnight for work so I have been a walking zombie. 

Any appts this week? Not til first week of March. 

Rants/raves/questions? See most of the "feeling" section for rants. Raves...well, I am officially student loan debt free as of today. It hurt to click submit on that button to pay them off, but I'd been saving money for a while and it made sense to pay off the loans (because of interest) rather than drag them out. Ten year loans paid off in just under 6...I'll take it. Ready to get our taxes back now.

@Firemanswife11 - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! That's a huge accomplishment! Treat yourself today, you deserve it!

@Brezzy1928 - same! Maternity pants all the way but my maternity tops are too big / flowy right now, they just make me look like I really like tacos. Regular tops are getting too short /tight and I just feel fat in them. I hate this in-between time, can't wait for the big, beautiful bump!

So tired and the headaches are the worst.

Next appointment is March 15th, but all of our genetic testing and NIPT results are back so I'm feeling pretty good. 
Rants/raves/questions?
We did want a girl, but I'm so frigging excited about my little boy! My husband was a little disappointed, but he's getting more excited. My mom was helping me with my registry today and it's so fun to know at least a little something about my baby and to actually call him by a name (we're like 99% sure he's going to be Joshua, so everything has been about Josh lately). And I'm super excited for that mom/son bond. 
GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet?

Anything comfortable, but I have a gorgeous 1950s style dress that I've never worn. I'll probably get it altered to fit me post-pregnancy. It's pale pink silk with big blue and pink flowers.

How are you feeling? I'm fine.  I keep waking up about an hour before my alarm goes off and not being able to fall back to sleep, but that's my only complaint. 

Any appts this week?  Nope, not until 3/15

Rants/raves/questions?  My mind is blank this morning.....

GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet?  My closet makes me sad.  I have stacks of pants up on the top shelf in piles by size - 2, 4, 6, 8, 10- probably 75+ pair of pants.  It's really sad.  Like I'm sure I could probably just get rid of those bottom 3 stacks but I don't want to admit that to myself.  Even shoes don't make me happy because my feet grew 1/2 size last time and I haven't really bought a bunch of new shoes cause I don't know if it's going to happen again.  Sigh, sorry for the downer answer.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 15 weeks today and baby is the size of a cinnamon roll which I now need to have. That is so weird; your baby is the size of this food, I MUST EAT IT. 

How are you feeling? Pretty ok. Sciatica is still annoying but since getting the snoogle I've found it's more tolerable and less intense. 

Any appts this week? I also have one on Monday like @mrsbubbles-2 and it's probably more of the same, pee in a cup, listen to the heartbeat, have a nice day! However I'm meeting my new OB so I'm really looking forward to it, my last OB and I did not mesh well. (insert clueless gif here)

Rants/raves/questions? I talked to my mom this morning and I think she's starting to come around. She's still not happy but she's also giving me tips on how to make my dad come around more so I can tell she's more on my side than she was before. I feel like a huge weight is lifted off of my shoulders. 

GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet? I'm a purses, jewelry, shoes (obviously), and hats kind of girl so my most cherished pieces are my accessories. I think my favorite item is an antique bolero necklace I have that used to be my grandma's, it has all kinds of different gems and stones on it.

@calimom2524 I am so glad your mom is starting to come around. Even if she isn't there 100% yet it's a step in the right direction! Hopefully you can get your dad moving that way too! 

@livinthesunnylife I am the same way! I had jeans from high school that I refused to get rid of. I moved them for years and years thinking one day I would get back into them. I just gave them to the Goodwill a few months ago because if I haven't lost the weight in like 18 years it ain't happening. But, I did keep these awesome purple glitter strappy high heels from a dance Senior Year that I am pretty sure I will never ever wear again but the are awesome and I am just not ready to give them up yet.

How are you feeling? Most days pretty good. Had an appetite for a week or two this week back to not having one and been fighting headaches.

This Pennsylvania weather. Tuesday and Wednesday were 70-80 and yesterday and today it’s in the 30’s.

Lately it has been leggings and tunic style dresses but leggings are starting to get tight.

I have to laugh that the bump sent me a link to 10 ways to celebrate your second trimester. I promptly celebrating by violently vomiting! I was hoping this time around would be different but it doesn't look to be letting up anytime soon. With DD I was sick the whole time.

We found out that we are having another little girl and are having the hardest time coming up with her name. Everything I love the hubby doesn't and his choices are just ridiculous. I am carrying her, should be my choice lol. I am really loving Riley Jade.

My jeans! I really miss my non maternity ones. I think I am going to get one of those band things and see how that works. And my sweatshirts!

@hoodwink89 Riley is on our list too! I don't even know what I'm having yet though haha. SO likes the spelling Rylee better but I'm working on that cuz the normal way to spell it works way better for me.

@calimom2524 same here. Hubby said if we do it he likes it Ryleigh for a girl. Our DD is Austyn so he likes the more "feminine" way of spelling it. I think Riley is cute and simple. She is going to have to learn to spell it and our last name will be enough for her. Although if I can get him to agree I would probably spell it anyway he wants.

How are you feeling? Feeling rather frumpy lately. My stomach is not very 'bump like', so I'm just feeling large, bloated and gross. Physically I'm doing okay - still achy/crampy with some back pain, but mild as of right now. Headaches come and go, but I've been doing a lot to combat them and it seems to be helping/working!

Any appts this week? Nope!

Rants/raves/questions? Rants: According the the Natera website my results will be available on 2/27. That seems so far away. This is worse than the TWW.

GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet? I recently bought a tunic style dress with pockets off Amazon and it's my new favorite. I now have it in 3 colors and I'm obsessed.

@livinthesunnylife you basically described my (old) closet. My size has varied so much over the years, and until I moved to a different state 4 years ago I was holding onto my size 4 & 6's. I finally came to the realization that it wasn't happening any time soon, and even if it did I should reward myself with new jeans anyway. It was really hard. I also didn't want to move more boxes of crap than I really needed to.

@Baxter2012 - Hating the weather here too. My whole office is sick again but I showed up this morning with a brand new can of lysol! Stay back everyone!
@hoodwink89 - I hate those bump articles. My fave was Is it safe to smoke marijuana while pregnant and other important questions... just no, bump. Send me a damn article on stretching out sciatica or getting the awful metal taste out of your mouth if you want to be helpful.
@lolog531 - I hope the time flies by between now and the 27th! Can you link the dress? I'm loving tunic style stuff lately while I wait for my puffiness to turn into bumpiness lol!

16 weeks- Eclair/ Avocado

How are you feeling?
Every week I see improvement in nausea/ fatigue. I'm feeling human again TG. Some insomnia, heavy boobs, minor abdominal twinges and the realization that its starting to suck bending over and will only get harder. Some food aversions but appetite is improving.

Any appts this week?
I had one Monday for a quick pee and doppler. Scheduled my anatomy scan for 3/13. I'm trying to stay strong about team green for this one but it is tempting!

Rants/raves/questions?Rant-  My 16 m/o is finding her independence and her usual rock with mama then put in crib routine isn't cutting it. She doesn't want to rock at all just goes in her crib jumping, kicking runs around and wants me to lay on the floor next to her until she tires out lays down and holds my hand. It's a time consuming new thing that I'm hoping is a quick phase. Also, getting her off her BaBa (bottle) is not happening anytime soon. She gets milk in it twice a day and just plain water at night. She's never been a pacifier baby so the Baba is her thing. Not a fan of the sippy cup either.

Rave- I won my unemployment hearing with the ALJ! Thanks for all the support ladies. I definitely could have handled it without a lawyer but was glad my grandpa in law offered to hire him for me. I don't think I would have pursued fighting for it because I was so discouraged and disgusted by the system for not immediately approving me  (and my employer) and I was afraid of representing myself. It was a learning experience that hopefully I wont have to deal with ever again. I will get unemployment for 20 weeks and just picked up a part time job helping out at my local library so things are looking up.

GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet?
H's sweats and old T's and sweat shirts. Also my old ratty granny nightgowns that snap in the front I used while nursing in MOTN. Not glamorous but pure comfort!

@mrsbubbles-2 Hoping things smooth over for you and DH soon, relationships are tough! Having a LO and one on the way makes things seem pretty desolate sometimes when their is some tension in the marriage. Hang in there and maybe try something new or do something you both enjoy together to reweave yourselves back together.  

@Firemanswife11 Congrats on the student loan payoff! That was a very responsible thing to do and it must feel like a financial weight has been lifted.

@mrsbubbles-2 I've started getting comments about how pregnant I look.  I like not just looking fat, but I really worry it means I'll start getting "any day now" and "it must be twins" comments when I'm only 5 months.

How many weeks are you/baby's size? 
15 weeks!  An orange or a magic 8 ball.  It's been years since I've held one, but I feel like a magic 8 ball is a fair amount bigger than an orange.

How are you feeling?
Better!  Finally!  I still have to be careful to not overrated, and bending over is uncomfortable (it seems crazy early for that.)

Also, it seems a scoop of chocolate ice cream before bed helps calm my stomach.  I'm pretty happy to indulge every night.

Any appts this week?
Nope, but I do have to get blood drawn "after the 27th" which seems vague.

Rants/raves/questions?
I'm now pretty certain that I've been feeling the baby move!  It's pretty awesome, and makes it much easier to wait for my next appointment.

GTKY: What is your favorite item in your closet?
I'm wearing my favorite maternity sweater right now.  It's a pretty blue color and has a drape neck and is soft.  I'm pretty grumpy toward my regular clothes these days, they haven't fit properly for a while.  I also really like my boots these days.  They fit well, and they're comfortable, so I wear them with everything.  I got them in brown and black.

@lolog531 Those are too cute!  I seriously almost bought one on the spot, but I just bought a whole mess of summer dresses, so I need to stop buying maternity clothes for a while.
