I met my DH online on Lavalife in 2007 when online dating was very new. I was in interior design school and surrounded by women or gay men and hadn't been on a date in a while so I joined Lavalife. He was the first guy I met. In his first email to me he asked me to marry me as a joke, because my profile said not looking to get married as I was only 22 but looking for someone to share experiences and travel with. We dated for 6 years before getting married but lived together after the first year. We have travelled the world and finally ready to settle down and start a family!

My DH and I met while working at Applebee’s. It was the classic cook and waitress hookup! We’ve been together for almost 9 years and married for 5 this July!
We met in high school, which I don't actually think it cute...I think it's weird, lol. We have been together for 13 years and married for 4. We also were long distance for 9 of those years (8 dating, one married)
DH and I met online on Okcupid. His first message to me was hilarious, and his profile picture was him dressed in his maintenance uniform holding a wrench and doing a "sexual" pose even though he's 6'4 and built like a linebacker. We spent our first date watching football all day because we're both huge fans, and almost 4 years later he proposed to me at the football field of our favorite college football team We'll have been married 3 years in April, so together almost 7 years total.
I met my SO at work actually and I couldn't stand him. He eventually got transferred to another store and I got promoted to take his place. He was a big help in getting me trained and it just kind of clicked. We went on our first date and have been together ever since. It'll be 9 years this October.
We met at work. He was my supervisor and quit when we got together because it was going to be an issue with the higher ups and they didn't want to let him step down.
I am a single mom by choice. Baby’s genetic father is an anonymous sperm donor.
My relationships are a bit unusual, but I am supported in my journey by four dear friends/partners. My main cheerleader is baby’s guncle (gay uncle), who I met about ten years ago at a roundtable discussion on personal privacy.
DH and I met at work. We were both new on our team and he asked me if I wanted to go on a walk to get coffee. We immediately became best friends and inseparable. I'm a very skeptical and logical person but meeting him made me believe in soul mates and fate. We were pregnant by choice with in a year of meeting and tied the knot when I was about 6 months pregnant. We've been together 4 years now.
DH and I met in high school. Have been together 12 years married for almost 3. We actually seem to have an odd group of core friends. All of us are high school sweethearts, all been friends for years. People think it's weird!
@nasalot188 my DH is friends with like 15 friends from his childhood. Some dating back to kindergarten and they are 40 now. They all are friends and their wives are now close. I find that strange but amazing at the same time! If you can be friends with people for that long it's super admirable and means you are loyal!

We met when we worked together at the local Chili's. I was 17 and a hostess and he was 19 and a server. He didn't like me at first, but I eventually won him over! We have been together for 12 years, married for 4.
We met in Spanish class in college. I did really well...he did not bc all he did was try to talk to me. Omg will we really be together for 14 years this year?! I’ll fact check that tomorrow. Married five years!
Met my husband playing flag football. He was in charge of the league. His roommate was on the opposing team and accidentally punched me in the face doing the catch and turn move and I didn't cry about it but said to keep going. He thought it was pretty cool so he asked me to hang out with his friends at his house (my husband's house). The roommate was not interested nor I to him but we both thought of each other as good friends. I got closer to my husband through that. It started more as friends too. He was not my type but a year later while I was on a medical mission trip in India for 2 months, we both couldn't stop thinking about each other. He told me he missed me when I got back which is not like him at all. That was 10 years ago and we've been married for 5 years.
We met at a bar on a Tuesday lol. Moved in with each other after 3 months, engaged after a year, married a year after that. When you know, you know. We've been married 5 years now.
We met online! Much like @hellopartyof5 we knew pretty quickly we were the real deal and moved in with one another after about 6 months, engaged at 2 years, got hitched 6 months after that, and will be married 2 years in May! It's been so awesome.
So I grew up in an ultra conservative church (Mennonite) and we had our own private church run school. (no formal education needed to teach in said schools) I met my man when I was teaching 3rd & 4th grade in Texas while teaching his little brother. I was only 18!! I can’t believe my parents allowed me to do that so young but it’s fairly common in that community! Anyway.. got married 3 yrs later (left the church we grew up in right after we got married) and now we’ve been married 5 yrs! I’m sure all you teachers will get a kick out of this teaching school at 18 with no training thing lol
@kiwi2628 SHH yes it is cute. It can be cute and weird at the same time. Most things that are cute are also a little weird.
...on that note, we met in middle school. I hated his ass at first and he thought I was terrifying (goth chick). We got to know each other a little better in 8th grade, danced together a couple times (I have some very DCOM romantic-ish stories) and then were seated together in freshman English the next year. Been together ever since. Married 4 years together for 13.
Met DH at Walmart 2013. We both worked there, I was in electronics and he was an unloader. He pulled pallets by my department every day and we had the same group of friends. I was dating one guy he was dating one girl in our group. They cheated on us with each other and we started hanging out outside of the group after we realized how terrible our ex's were. Then we just kind of started going on dates and dating. Married 2015. So romantic. Jk totes not haha.
@DunkinDecaf Well I'm an Auburn fan (War Eagle!) and he's a Florida State fan, but at the time we were living in Alabama so he pulled for Auburn more. Except when they played each other for the national championship. That was awkward.
He was the radio instructor when I joined my college station as a new dj - I was crushing hard on teach. And then I trapped his ass. Together for 10 years married 5.
We met at a bible study. I was new and shy, and he's kind of the class clown type. He came and sat by me. He's into geology, and I work with dirt everyday so he thought I cool (even though I know nothing about geology). We actually talked for about a week, but it didn't work at the time. Then about 6 months later he bought a house not far from where I lived so we randomly started talking again, and then it just worked. Together 4 years, married for 1.5 years.
Like many people have mentioned, we met online in June 2014. I knew pretty quickly that he was one. We got engaged Feb 2016, married July 2016. We'll have been together 4+ years when baby arrives.
DH and I met in 9th grade history. I was kind of a weird goth kid and he was that kid who hugged all the girls. He told me I looked like I needed a hug. I rolled my eyes and reluctantly hugged him. Two weeks later I moved my seat to sit by him. We started dating on Valentine’s Day our junior year.
I met DH in a class my freshman (his senior) year of college. We’ve been together for 11 years, legally married for 6yrs today and church married for almost 5yrs.
Ha @ninji15. I met my H when we worked at walmart too. Overnight, I was a cashier and he stocked grocery. We were both dating other people, mine casually and his attempting to get out of it. We both ended our relationships and started with the serious flirting followed by dating. Together 11 years married 8 years.
We met doing pre-reqs for nursing school at evening classes. I sat in front of him and asked to his borrow notes since I missed the first day of class. We've been married for 4 years next month and together for 8.
Met MH in college. He was the guy that worked at the front desk in my dorm. We ended up having mutual friends and ran in to each other at a party. The rest is history! We’ve been together for 10 years this past December, married for 5.
