Re: Symptoms week of 2/19

  • Turned 20 weeks yesterday, and seriously starting to feel pregnant now. I popped again Saturday morning. Having a harder time bending over, peeing when I sneeze, back started hurting folding laundry, having to pee every time I stand up (or wake up in the night), more and more clothes aren't fitting.

    anyone else?

  • @rachelsogo all of it but peeing with sneezing. Plus this kid is using my cervix as a punching bag.
  • @wildtot My cervix is a punching bag too.. I’m worried she’s going to bust out of there lol
  • Oh shortness of breath too. Had lunch with a friend at the mall and went walking around after and was having trouble talking and walking (and eating ice cream) at the same time.

Me: 35 DOR, low AMH = 0.694, and fibroids
    DH: 41
    Married 10/25/2014 / TTC since 05/2015
    1st IUI 05/05/16 Letrozole 7.5 mg CD 3-11 + Ovidrel = BFN
    2nd cycle on Letrozole 7.5 mg CD 3-11 + TI = BFN
3rd cycle on Letrozole but did our 2nd IUI on 07/01/16. 10 mg CD 3-11 + Ovidrel = BFN
Onto IVF! Started Lupron on 09/24. Added Gonal F and hcg injections 09/26...... Trigger 10/07. EggRetrieval 10/09. Starting PIO, Estrace, and Medrol 10/10/16. Transferred 2 "strong/beautiful" embryos 10/14/16. Beta 10/28/16 = 998 mIU/mL = BFP with one baby, but miscarried at 9w5d.
D&C on 12/06/17 and started taking BCPs 01/10/17 for the next IVF Cycle, which officially began stims on 02/18/17.
Fast Forward: we got 4 fertilized embryos from that cycle. Transferred one fresh, but it did not stick, so we have 3 frozen embryos currently. Went in to the fertility clinic in July to talk about a FET of one of those three frozen embryos, but a new fibroid was discovered, and I was not cleared to do the transfer until I had fibroid removal surgery.
08/11/17 had a mini-laparotomy / myomectomy to remove 6 fibroids, largest sized were the size of golf-balls! Once we were cleared to go about our normal lives (sex!) I got pregnant NATURALLY but it was a chemical pregnancy. The very next month we had another BFP and here we are now with a baby on the way! A TOTAL AND COMPLETE MIRACLE!

  • I've been getting shaky, sweat palms and kind of woozy when I haven't eaten in a bit. It makes me so anxious. I experienced it during my last pregnancy as well. My doctor was not concerned and everything checked out fine but it's an awful feeling. I've gotten it before while commuting home standing on a crowded train and I panicked thinking I was going to faint.

On a positive note, I've been feeling the baby move pretty regularly <3

  • @runsomewhere are you keeping your water intake up as well? It's probably just you not eating for a little, but just checking on that too!

@rachelsogo I've gotten pretty big too lately, went to work one day and when I got home she was 2 times bigger than she was that morning! Definitely get winded when walking far, but that's been happening for a few weeks now. I haven't gotten to the peeing while sneezing yet, but my fingers are crossed I can hold off on that for a while! lol

  • @gspmom21 I think I'm keeping up the water intake thought I could be doing better. So far today I'm almost done with a 50 fl oz bottle of water and I've had 3 cups of tea so I shouldn't be dehydrated.

  • I'm still doing really well. I was exhausted on Sunday but we had a super long day. A little heartburn for the first time but I'm dumb and overate at the Brazilian steakhouse. It was a special celebratory dinner so I regret nothing! I ate all well done meats and not just beef, BTW:)
  • I am definitely in the cervix punching bag haha it is the only way I feel movement right now. Also I have to clench my legs and knees together when i feel a sneeze coming on haha.

Had heartburn the other night for the first time this pregnancy too

  • Do you all feel most of baby's movement in your cervix? I feel it a few inches under my belly button, like a little tapping, but haven't felt anything deeper in the cervix area.
  • @ckmb_knottie no i feel it in different places but the cervix is most uncomfortable.
  • @ckmb_knottie I feel most of her kicks in my belly, to the left of my belly button. Cervix (or where I assume my cervix is lol) is typically only when I'm at work at sitting straight up in my chair.

  • elisam511  It was banana split Dip n Dots. One of my favs!

@runsomewhere This happens to me ...happened before pregnancy too, but more often/quickly now. I always make sure to have some trail mix or something in my purse for those emergencies..and just try to not let myself get too hungry.

  • @rachelsogo I'm having a hard time bending over too!  My back is also sore after bending over and getting back up.

Over the weekend I had some cramps/aching in my lower abdomen (like right above my pubic bone).  I know a certain amount of stretching/growing pain is normal but it was starting to worry me a little bit because I don't remember it happening this late with my last pregnancy.  I just rested and drank a ton of water and I felt a lot better on Monday (it started on Saturday).  I'm thinking it was either stretching pain, dehydration, constipation, or some combination of the 3.

  • @rachelsogo i can’t imagine sneezing and peeing! I’m sure that’s in my future as I’m in the loo twice an hour now.

@kissableviv no such thing as overeating at a Brazilian steakhouse!

I guess the only symptom I’m really noticing now revolves around food. I eat and eat...and then a few hours later I’m starving again. I feel like a teenage boy going through a growth spurt.
  • I’m soo tired today! Took a nap with DS for the first time in weeks and still had to pull myself out of bed.

Lots of baby movements here now. I can’t wait until DH can feel them! Feeling super tired, back pain still and vivid dreams every night. Peeing all of the time!
  • Oh, the burping. And the constant need to pee, especially when I'm standing. I even feel the need to pee less than an hour after I'd already peed.
  • Also, pregnancy brain! This afternoon, I was going to do laundry load #2. I put laundry #1 in the dryer and started it, put the detergent for #2 in the washing machine, then the clothes, put it on the setting I wanted...and walked away. Just realized now when I went to retrieve #1 from the dryer.
  • Definitely feel the out of breath bit. My doctor said today I might be getting anemic (I’m also exhausted and my heart has been racing) so I am working on adding in my iron-rich foods (CHEESEBURGERS, YES!  :D)

Also started getting heartburn last week, but I think I figured out it is tied to peppers. So, no more peppers for me!
  • I'm actually having some acid reflux today for the first time in probably years. It's definitely from all the meat last night but whatever. I'm going to have a mega smoothie bowl for dinner tonight because nothing sounds good and I want something cold!

FML. I had breakfast at 7, banana and nuts at 10, lunch at 11, an orange at 2 and now it's not even 3:30 and I'm uncomfortably hungry/little shaky and just want to shove a giant cheeseburger in my face.

  • @runsomewhere are you getting a good mix of protein and fats with your breakfast/lunch? I know that for me, even if I eat something protein heavy if there’s not some good fats (PB & avocado are my favorite) I don’t stay satisfied.
  • I am having some MAJOR RLP these past couple days. Like dull aching pain on my right side that occasionally travels to the middle of my lower abdomen then to the left side. I took some tylenol a moment ago, so hopefully that helps. I have been trying to walk more during the work day (desk job), however it doesn't always help with the pain. Also, my hips have been hurting, especially when laying down on my sides. I've been propping myself up a bit and on my back to ease some of the pain.
+1 for heartburn. Dh swears it means baby is going to come out with a bunch of hair. I just hope that if this is true, its hair on his/her head and not a hairy ape child.
Also, add me to the hungry party. I've started carrying fig newtons in my purse for a nice quick snack. Plus it's been helping on the bm front.

Also...the exhaustion. Right when I am FINALLY getting into a good deep sleep, I have to pee. Never fails.

  • @zombiehoohaa lol i didn’t have heartburn and DS came out hairy lol at least he won’t go bald!  Most of it did eventually fall off and became lighter in color with weeks so don’t worry. He does have a good mustache going already lol
  • DH is bald and so is my FIL so I'm afraid the LO is doomed unless he inherits my full head of thick hair!
  • Just noticed some big veins on the sides of my belly.

Forgot who had the acne issue but I’ve been using Mama Mio cleanser for about a week it’s helping my face (haven’t tried it in my back).
  • @wildtot I've been dealing with acne. The clindamycin my doctor prescribed for my back has helped a little. I might try Mama Mio for my face though because the tea tree oil stuff I've been using hasn't been a huge help lately. Thanks for the suggestion!
  • @zombiehoohaa you may be getting SPD. I was told recently by some people that intense RLP and the hip pain are all due to overly lax ligaments down in the pelvis area. a pillow between my knees has helped a lot!

  • has anyone experienced their hands falling asleep while sleeping? If I lay on my left, the right hand falls asleep. It's so creepy waking up to that sensation.
  • @coco305 yes mine are is probably due to also having sciatica and pinched nerves/herniated discs. Hate waking to it, sometimes it freaks me out.
  • @coco305 yes! I have had this. I'm glad to see a couple other with it I was a little worried, but my doc didn't seem to be. It's super annoying.
  • @wildtot ouch to sciatica :( how has it been while pregnant? A couple of my friends have it and pregnancy was not easy for them.
@smashjam glad it's nothing to worry about, but so uncomfortable- I'll definitely bring it up
to my doc when I see her.
  • @coco305 I’ve dealt with it for almost 10 years and it was terrible while pregnant. My hips felt like they were on fire from the pain. I use to have it mostly on the right but it has seemed to traveled to the left. I have the body of an 80 yr old at 30
  • Every time the song “No Roots” comes on the baby goes crazy!
  • Anyone else feeling what i think it round ligament pain?  like a pinching sensation? so strange.
  • @babygagnon2018 I think a lot of moms have been experiencing RLP. I get the pinching if I stretch my belly out. Shouldn't be anything to worry about unless its very severe!

So I slept propped up on an extra pillow on my back, like half sitting basically. It was comfortable but my neck wasn't super happy this morning. I feel like I'm too paranoid, I normally sleep on my left side but I often end up on my back and wanted an option. I also think it's funny they say not to be on your back but then that's how you normally labor and deliver. Lol.
