How are things going with this pregnancy? Any concerns currently? Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)?
How are things going with this pregnancy? Smooth so far. I'm really anxious for my first appointment, just to confirm something is actually still there.
Any concerns currently? Not a concern, per se, but I really wish I had journaled during my last pregnancy, at least regarding symptoms. I can't really remember when my symptoms kicked in last time, and I'm getting a little apprehensive over my lack of symptoms so far. I'm not yet 6 weeks so I know it's early, but still!
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DS finally took some steps on his own the other day! He's 14 months, and he's always been a late bloomer, physically (started crawling at 9 months).
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? It seems like he's getting another cold... like, he literally got over one two days ago. Or maybe it's the same cold. Or maybe it's teething. I don't know, but the snot and the coughing is getting annoying. He felt warm yesterday, but no fever... ugh. I like winter, but the sickness shit sucks - and he doesn't even go to day care!
How are things going with this pregnancy? Hard- I have never struggled with morning sickness until this baby and it's killing me. I can't work, I can't sleep, I can't function. Finally called my OB yesterday and got put on a medication. So far today is better than it has been but I could use a nap! Any concerns currently? Just impatiently waiting our first appointment and U/S on 2/26 Positive/exciting things going on with current child(red)? DS1 is 3.5 years and actually excited about "the baby in Mama's belly"... he has already named the baby and calls it a boy so we will see how that plays out. DS2 is 14 months and has no clue what's happening. He's still nursing so I would REALLY like to wean sometime soon. Any concerns/frustrations with current child(red)? DS1 has an attitude that makes me want to strangle yet love on him all at the same time. DS2 has decided to become a wild and crazy man- jumping off things, crashing into things.... it's going to give me a heart attack.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Terrible. My morning sickness is in the evening/all night. A couple of times it has lasted through most of the day. I did not have this with my DD. Haha Max isn't saying "no", but he violently shakes his head and waves his arms around, as if to sweep whatever I'm offering him away. He doesn't say "yes" either, so it's hilarious to go through options only through elimination.
@Gizmo1231 did your OB put you on something for throwing up? I have just been constantly nauseous with headaches but no throwing up. I’m afraid there will be nothing to help me if I ask mine.
How are things going with this pregnancy? ok. Have another ultrasound in a little over a week. Had one too early and now my mind if playing tricks on my. I'm having horrible morning sickness, but I did with my other pregnancies too, so I expected it. Doesn't make it any easier though. I'm currently hiding from my kids so I can just lay down lol Any concerns currently? Nervous there won't be a heartbeat in a week. Trying not to think about it. Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? umm well my 16mo old seems like she has a new word daily! And my 3 yr olds speech is also getting soooo much better (he has a speech delay) Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? they both have the flu currently, so that's been monopolizing our lives. My 3 yo hasn't been to preschool since Monday, so mommys about to lose her mind.
How are things going with this pregnancy? So far so good! Any concerns currently? trying to keep my PGAL brain quiet and not over think everything Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? We're going through a really tough spot with SD. She's 5 and basically runs the household when she's with mom. Mom is a friend, not a mom. So we're constantly battling with her behavior. I love her dearly, but she's been pushing all the buttons, especially DH's. She needs to be the center of attention at all times, positive, negative, annoying, it doesn't matter. And we're working on creating some empathy and caring about other. It's been exhausting. And I worry that it will be a bad influence on DD since she loves her big sister.
@Lisa3379 I'm wishing the same! I actually when back and searched some of my old bump posts to look for symptom clues!
@Gizmo1231 DH talks about how when the kids are the craziest and driving us nuts is when we miss them the most after they go to bed. So I get the love/strangle thing. Love for you kids is so weird.
How are things going with this pregnancy? I guess ok. I am so tired that its hard to work and then I just want to take a nap which is impossible with a toddler. Any concerns currently? Just want to make it through till the ultrasound on the 26th Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? at 18 months she is so engaging and smart but she is still attached to my hip and I am too tired to parent Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? nope I just need sleep
Me: 32 DH: 31
TTC #2 since January 2018
Baby #1 DD Born 8/25/2016 BFP: 8/11/18 Due: 4/26/18
How are things going with this pregnancy? So far so good. Nausea has been slowly picking up since the 4 week mark, but isn't debilitating. So much hungrier this time around..... Any concerns currently? I just hate that i won't get an ultrasound until the 20 week mark. My doctors office is super low-intervention, but dang, i just want to see this poppyseed on a screen. I keep convincing myself that i don't have enough symptoms, even though last time around i have nothing until 6-7 weeks. Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? My speech delayed son just had a word explosion, and its the most amazing feeling! Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? My son is 19 months and being super needy/clingy. I am not looking forward to dealing with bedtime with two babies that require a strict 30 minute routine in order to sleep.
How are things going with this pregnancy? I've had zero symptoms, so still haven't really come to terms that it's happening. But I'm not even 4 weeks yet, so I'm sure they will come.
Any concerns currently? I haven't told DH yet and I'm a little nervous with how he will react. I know he won't be mad, but the timing of this pregnancy will throw off some of the things we had planned. But I guess it's like they say, if you wait until you're ready it will very happen. Or something like that.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? She just turned one! It's such an exciting age I just want to cause her where she is right now. She's been walking for about a month and it's awesome, but I'm very tired from chasing her all day!
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Nope, she's great and super easy. I'm actually concerned that she is TOO good, and this next baby will be a normal baby and I won't know how to handle it because I've been spoiled.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Any concerns currently? I feel like hot garbage. Yet even though I’m sick all the time I keep forgetting that I’m pregnant and almost doing non-pregnancy safe things. I’ve caught myself in time every time so far, but it does make me feel dumb.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DD2 (15mo) is having a vocabulary explosion which is cute.
Any concerns/frustrations with current child( We’re currently in an airport, so, yeah. They’re both insane and I’m exhausted. Also, DD1 is the queen of boundary pushing and she drives me crazy very regularly.
@SawyerRichardson do you have a plan on when/how you’re going to tell him? I’m sure he’ll be thrilled, even if it takes him a little while to get there.
@DunkinDecaf Not exactly. Its still super early, so I'm thinking that since my period is (was) supposed to start on Sunday, if I really do miss it I'll tell him then.
I just still feel like I'm imagining it. I didn't tell him for a couple day with our 1st either even though she was 100% planned. I always need some time to wrap my head around it first.
@SawyerRichardson I can’t imagine that!! I’m the worst at not telling DH anything. No way I could keep my trap shut. No judgement though. I still haven’t wrapped my head around this pregnancy almost a week later.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Good so far, I think. Not really having many symptoms, but that seems to be normal for me. Just a little anxious because TW... I had two losses last year. End TW
Any concerns currently? not really, just feeling all the feels about how things will change when DS is not an only child anymore. I don’t want him to feel like he’s getting less attention, but I realistically know that he’ll have to with a new baby.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DS is about to turn 2, and I’m amazed every day with the things that he does and says. His vocabulary has been growing incredibly, so we’re learning quickly to watch what we say around him haha.
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? DS has also gotten such a little personality, which is great, but he’s really strong willed sometimes which gets me frustrated. This morning he was fighting me so hard when I was trying to change his diaper, and I got frustrated and yelled. I feel super guilty about yelling but I couldn’t help myself
How are things going with this pregnancy? Good! It was a surprise for us but I think I'm finally getting over the shock! Any concerns currently? I mentioned on another post about vacationing while pregnant, but other than that I'm just waiting impatiently for the ultrasound to confirm everything is good! Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DS will be 2 in May and I just love this age! So many new words! Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? I'll 2nd @pumpkinpancake on the strong willed child! He already has a defiant facial expression that he uses to challenge us when we tell him no. Oh and the tantrums...I think we've hit the terrible twos early
@SawyerRichardson I was only able to keep it from my DH for a day! He said he was more surprised that I was able to keep it from him than he was about me actually being pregnant! Good Luck!
@KFrob@Lisa3379 I feel the same way! I didn't keep track on any symptoms the last time so I have no idea what to expect now. All I remember was that I went to be at like 8 pm every night of the 1st trimester!
How are things going with this pregnancy? First trimester crap. And worrying that it’s not viable. I hating waiting for the scan but it’s been easier this time. I feel detached but I’m sure if we don’t get good news, I’ll be a basket case all over again.
Any concerns currently? DD is...a handful... insanely high energy with great gross motor skills and persistence beyong belief. I’m concerned that another like her will kill me.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DD just turned 2 and is finally having an expressive language explosion. Yesterday she waved at me during drop off and yelled “have a good day!” And she sings “Happy to you!” while running around like a tazmanian devil. She’s also super into coloring right now which is a nice low-risk activity.
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? I mean, she’s 2 with a will of iron....soooo...
How are things going with this pregnancy? Good! Feeling a little nauseous and food sounds repulsive but once I force myself to eat it all stays down just fine. I’m over two weeks in since finding out and still struggling with the shock of it all. Any concerns currently? When do I move on to the acceptance stage
*Edited - keep losing the rest of my answers so this is as good as it’s going to get!
How are things going with this pregnancy? Fine. The nausea has been terrible and I’ve been getting sick this time around which sucks.
Any concerns currently? No, just anxiously waiting for my first appointment.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? Not really. He is 2 it is really cool to watch him learn and grow. Any concerns/frustrations with current child? Yes! He comes into my bed every night which was okay for a while, now he’s literally making it so I have no space. I’m worried for when my belly gets bigger.
@BabyRobbinsAdventure so I've only had vomiting a couple times. The nausea/dizziness is many periods of time throughout the day. I would call. They put me on diclergis (sp??)
How are things going with this pregnancy? Pretty good so far. I had my first real appointment today and they said my blood work looks really good and they have no concerns. I booked an ultrasound for next Thursday to get a more accurate EDD. Besides that I just have some nausea and exhaustion with some fun insomnia to mix it up a bit. Any concerns currently? Not really. I'm slightly nervous about the ultrasound, but I feel like it will all be ok. Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DD is 2.5 and is completely insane right now. But it's still fun to watch her learn new things. She recently learned how to ride a scooter which is cool to watch. Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Not really. If anything I'm concerned about myself that I am too cranky and tired to be a good mom right now. I've been super irritable lately, so I need to work on that.
How are things going with this pregnancy? So far so good. My stomach is stretching out so fast this time. Any concerns currently? I had some light bleeding but that could have been due to a LEEP procedure I had done not too long ago. My numbers have doubled in two days so no one is too worried but I’m getting an ultrasound Thursday to confirm viability. Positive/exciting things going on with current child? DS has been asking for a brother or sister lately. Which is cool considering. Any concerns/frustrations with current child? He’s 3....so I’m frustrated about 50% of the time. Lol!
How are things going with this pregnancy? I don’t know. Ok, but so nerve-wracking. I feel like I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster for 2 1/2 weeks now. Any concerns currently? yes, my hcg levels are rising but not doubling every 48 hours. I need to stay off dr google and trust my body will do what it needs to do! Another beta scheduled for next Wednesday and then I think I’ll ask for an ultrasound after that. Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DD is at such a fun age, I love her personality and her learning new things every day Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? she is definitely a strong willed child so frustration is a constant thin in this house. She also hates sleep, so I’m really hoping that gets better in the next few months.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Ok. I am extremely nauseous and tired. I also look like I'm showing already which makes hiding it a bit difficult. Any concerns currently? I had a couple early losses recently, so I'm naturally on edge but trying to stay positive. I do feel optimistic which is good. Positive/exciting things going on with current child? DS (20 months) is really starting to talk more which has been awesome as he seems a bit late to the game. Any concerns/frustrations with current child? We are definitely approaching the terrible 2's. Attitude like no other and really testing boundaries. However he was seriously an amazing baby. Was quite easy, slept through the night by 5 months, I really feel like we were spoiled. I am super nervous about this next one being more difficult then we're used to
How are things going with this pregnancy? Not bad! Tired and today I was pretty sick but it's been ok.
Any concerns currently? Everything, lol. I've mentioned in other threads, this pregnancy was not planned and a total surprise. We have a 3.5 yo son and almost 2 yo daughter, and we thought we would be done with diapers soon. We are excited (though I'm still not letting myself get full-on excited, it's early and I'm nervous).
I just don't know what we are going to do with our cars (with put schedules, we both need to be able to drive all 3 kids), so we need 3 new ones I guess... and bedrooms (we have 3, so who will share when)... We also got rid of absolutely 100% of baby equipment so there's that. It feels like crazy town here.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? They're awesome! DS is becoming such an indepent thinker and is just so sensitive and sweet. And DD is a total ham, she makes us all laugh all the time. We are starting swim lessons with them next weekend.
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Not really but I am wondering how bedrooms and current sleeping habits are going to work out.
Oh a question... did anyone use a Bella band or something similar before? I was thinking of trying one this time, mostly to stretch out my work clothes for an extra month or so. Do they work? Did you like them?
Oh a question... did anyone use a Bella band or something similar before? I was thinking of trying one this time, mostly to stretch out my work clothes for an extra month or so. Do they work? Did you like them?
Meh. It never really smoothed out that well for me, and having my pants unbuttoned made them always feel weird. I think this time I’ll just go straight to maternity pants and call it a day.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Any concerns currently? I was placed on insulin last week for GD to get my fasting glucose levels under control and now I'm just patiently waiting for my ultrasound this coming Thursday. I will feel so much better once I see that little heartbeat.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? My 19 month old is picking up new words almost everyday. I stopped counting after 100 and that was a few months ago.
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)?
I'm just hoping that she will adapt to having a younger sibling. She's such a mommy's girl because she's home with me all of the time. I take her to music class, story time, tumble time, and try to arrange playdates with other children to get her accustomed to having other children around.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Good. Still new so nothing really happening yet. Boobs are kind of sore but don’t know if that’s pregnanxy related or weaning related.
Any concerns currently? Defintley having a lot of those probably normal thoughts about being sad DS isn’t going to get 100% of my attention anymore. Thinking about how we did things when he was a newborn and how it just won’t be able to be the same thing time.
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? In the last two weeks or so he’s taken off with walking. Doesn’t really crawl at all anymore. It’s weird because I almost forget already what it was like to have a crawler vs a walker.
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? All four of his molar are in various stages of busting through. So he’s pretty pissed about that. Sets of tantrums at the tiniest things.
How are things going with this pregnancy?so far so good, although i think it’s still early for symptoms. Any concerns currently? None yet. Just enjoying it Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ten)? DS has just started really having conversations with us and every time we say do you want a baby brother or sister he just says “No, peanut butter toast please”. Any concerns/frustrations with current child? I feel like my temper is shorter this past week so I am really trying to make a conscious effort to be more patient.
How are things going with this pregnancy? So far things are good. Just waiting on my first ultrasound to confirm that! Any concerns currently? No major concerns other than waiting on symptoms to start to ease my nerves. I just need that 8 week ultrasound! Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? DD is 3 1/2 and soooo wants a baby sister. We have t told her about the pregnancy yet but she brings it up on her own all the time! Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? The only frustration is that she is not a morning person so it is so hard to get her up and ready for daycare. I am almost late for work on a daily basis! Ugh!!
Hi! I'm newer here with an end-of-October DD. My kids are 6 and 4.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Great so far! I'm not too far into it. Any concerns currently? Mornings are hard, I feel so groggy and nauseated and getting the kids ready for school has been tough. Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? They're at a really fun age right now. They're always playing together, they are super independent, and the big one can read now, which is so fun! Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Not right now!
How are things going with this pregnancy? Things are going okay. I'm very tired and nauseous. I work alot so that probably doesn't help and for some reason I keep asking up at 3am. Any concerns currently? just waiting until my first ultrasound on the 26th! Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? my son is almost 5 and he amazes me every day and makes me laugh. I can't wait for school to be out (school nurse) so we can go on adventures. Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? I'm concerned with how he will react when I tell him. His dad and I are divorced and share custody but of course I'm worried that he will think I don't love him
How are things going with this pregnancy? I’m pretty much having the same symptoms as last time but forgot how miserable the nausea and exhaustion was. It’s even harder this time as my job is more demanding and obvi running around after an almost 2 year old. Any concerns currently?I have so many concerns it’s ridic. I’m starting to wonder if that in of itself is a pregnancy symptom. Everything from our schedule to money to making it through the pregnancy without issues. Positive/exciting things going on with current child? DS is growing more and more everyday and I know everyone says this about their own kid but it amazes me how smart he can be at times. I’m super proud of him and glad he’s thriving at school. It’s so important to me as a working mom that he is doing well as it feels like I can’t be there at all times. Any concerns/frustrations with current child? DS has been a little clingy ever since going back to school after Christmas and we also had a ton of snow days in January. So it kind of makes me feel like it’s a glimpse of what is to come when the baby gets here. I’m terrified he will be super jealous and needy.
How are things going with this pregnancy? Just tired, dry mouth and alot of anxiousness Any concerns currently? Nope. I've had several miscarriages last year so kinda nervous but staying positive Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? We are potty training my DS (2 yo or 24 months) this weekend! Yesterday (day 1), we had 15 accidents (pee and poop). Today, none Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Nope. Love him so much!
How are things going with this pregnancy? Pretty good. Just anxiously awaiting my first appointment this Friday. Any concerns currently? The lack of symptoms kind of has me worried as I definitely had more with my son but I'm staying positive. Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? Our son is almost 17 months old and it seems like these last two months he's really grown into a toddler. Like he's lost his baby face and his personality is just developing so much more. I love to watch him grow and explore. Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Other than mama and dada he isn't really saying much other than babling. His ped said that if by next month at his 18 month appointment he isn't saying 3 more words then it's off to speech therapy.
I'm also struggling with some mom guilt. I'm the working parent and for now my SO is home with our son as he is on disability so I always feel I'm missing out and that I don't get enough time with him. And with the new baby coming I'm worried that our son will get less of my attention and it's really making me sad.
How are things going with this pregnancy? So far so good. Aside from the occasional twinging in the uterus which I think is normal due to all the activity going on in there. I'm trying to be more concious of my eating this pregnancy to not gain much in the first trimester since its bound to happen later on. It's a B**** getting the weight off after baby so limit what I put on based on actual baby needs not just "cravings".
Any concerns currently? Just waiting to get to 8week appt to hear that heartbeat!
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? My youngest son (high maintenance child!) was holding his baby cousin this weekend and he's so ready to jump in and help feed her and grab a blanket for her and he seems like he'll be prime big brother material.
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Just hoping I can balance 3 kids and not let my older boys feel left out.
Re: STM+ Check In - February

I just still feel like I'm imagining it. I didn't tell him for a couple day with our 1st either even though she was 100% planned. I always need some time to wrap my head around it first.
Good Luck!
@KFrob @Lisa3379 I feel the same way! I didn't keep track on any symptoms the last time so I have no idea what to expect now. All I remember was that I went to be at like 8 pm every night of the 1st trimester!
Any concerns currently? When do I move on to the acceptance stage
*Edited - keep losing the rest of my answers so this is as good as it’s going to get!
Lol!
DD is at such a fun age, I love her personality and her learning new things every day
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)?
she is definitely a strong willed child so frustration is a constant thin in this house. She also hates sleep, so I’m really hoping that gets better in the next few months.
I am super nervous about this next one being more difficult then we're used to

Any concerns currently? None yet. Just enjoying it
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ten)?
Ugh!!
His dad and I are divorced and share custody but of course I'm worried that he will think I don't love him
Any concerns currently? I have so many concerns it’s ridic.
Just tired, dry mouth and alot of anxiousness
Any concerns currently? Nope. I've had several miscarriages last year so kinda nervous but staying positive
Positive/exciting things going on with current child(ren)? We are potty training my DS (2 yo or 24 months) this weekend! Yesterday (day 1), we had 15 accidents (pee and poop). Today, none
Any concerns/frustrations with current child(ren)? Nope. Love him so much!
