Selfishly created, but the insomnia is back. I can’t seem to find a comfortable position either. Can’t sleep on my belly anymore and this side sleeping is starting to hurt my back. Laying on my belly was how my stomachaches got better too so now i keep getting these sharp pains up top because of all the gas and guts being squished. Damn pimples won’t go away either!
Nothing new, but pooping 1x/week is NOT working out for me. I've literally done almost everything. I feel so disgusting all of the time. I can hardly eat. I even skip my prenatal once/week so I can try to help it along. Nothing. And when I do go, there is NO WAY that's all of it. Oy.
On the plus, I can feel the baby from the outside, which is awesome.
I think I am actually capable of eating food these days! Its awesome! I mean, its only been two days but FOOD SOUNDS GOOD. I also bought a liquid iron that I have been taking twice a day and I think my energy is going up, which is nice, so maybe I was just low in iron (or maybe my mood is better). AND I think my hemorrhoid is going away, or getting smaller, because pooping sucks marginally less than usual. Still having some trouble sleeping without Unisom though.
@WorkinWeezel I am so sorry about the pooping! I hope you find relief!
@WorkinWeezel my prenatal actually helps me go, which is weird I know. What kind do you use? Maybe try mixing it up? I use new chapter perfect prenatal. A little more on the spends side, but it’s great.
I'm pretty sure I've been feeling him from the inside at least. It's the same twitch in roughly the same spot a few times a day so I'm pretty sure it's baby. Haven't been bloated or constipated so fx that's indeed him! I'm still sleeping like a rock. @wildtot if you don't have a snooggle (I have yet to buy one) have you tried a pillow between your knees when you lay on your side? My doctor said I can still be on my back if I have something rolled under my right hip so it's not pressing fully against the mattress. I understand you're a stomach sleeper, but maybe that is also something to try?
@kissableviv i have a snoogle and us it most nights but i eventually kick it off lol I’ll sleep in my back but i get a lot of BH like that and my can feel a lot of the gas pains. I have sciatica issues too so it’s not surprising. I’m already dreading the pain i had with #1. I’ve been getting thirsty too so that more restroom trips at night which didn’t start till about a week ago.
Cue the hormonal emotions! I've felt slightly weepy off and on but dang this week I'm a blubbering mess. Moana, The Olympics, a yummy piece of chocolate - all crying triggers. I'm also really constipated and gassy. Yay 17 weeks!
+1 on the pimples. Everywhere. On my face, on my back, on my chest. I was nearly acne free before this pregnancy! And also I can only poop about 2-3 times a week if I'm lucky. And as @WorkinWeezel said, when I go, I know it's not all of it. I have been feeling baby move for a couple weeks now on the inside (I'm 18w6d, Ftm) but I felt him move on the outside a couple times the past few days and it's so exciting!
I cannot recommend Cocokind products more for acne! I was struggling with hormonal acne, but pregnancy cleared it out completely for me....just waiting for it to explode again after I deliver?? Anyways, The products are pretty inexpensive and all super natural and I could definitely notice a difference.

Haha I cried a bit watching Moana this morning with my sick DD! and gassy, too.
I can’t eat. No appetite. When I try and force it I feel sick. Been down to eating two meals a day and not even great ones at that. Frustrated because I have to figure something out. Been a week of this.
@elizabethrn87 I hear you on the no appetite! mine just came back the last two days but before that I wasn't eating anything and forcing myself. Fruit was good for me, super acidy fruit like pineapples, kiwis, oranges, etc. Or eating the same foods I usually would in a different way-like i couldn't do smoothies anymore so I switched to just eating yogurt and fruit. I dunno those are some of the few things that helped. Good luck!
My boobs finally don't hurt anymore! Yay! I noticed that last night for the first time since starting this journey. Also finally have an actual bump that can be seen with clothes on. But I've got acne everywhere like a teenage boy, and add me to the constipated group. 2-3 times a week is not enough. I'm not sure if I've felt LO moving or not yet, sometimes I think maybe I do, but I've also been gassy so I just cannot tell.
@wildtot my mom got me one of those u-shaped preggo pillows, it's been helpful in keeping me from rolling over on my back, or at least completely on my back because I have a pillow on both sides. The darn thing is so huge and takes up most of our bed, but it seems to help. I think she got it from Target.
@wildtot lol. we have a king, but the dang thing still takes up a good size of the bed. We call it the pool floaty. It's just so big. And the dogs discovered it recently and now I have to get them out of it before I can go to bed. At least they've warmed it up for me, that was kind of them.
@noideawhatshesdoing hahaha We call them bumpers in our bed. And the dogs definitely love sleeping in between the bumpers. The smaller dog curls up with me in my bumpers during the night and makes the pillow unable to serve it's intended purpose. o-well, it's all about the comfort of the animals, right?

WorkinWeezel sorry to hear but feeling baby must be exciting! jealous!
zg49 I second the 17 week emotions. I watched No Reservations last night and legit cried the whole movie (and because the daughters name was Zoey and thats what we are naming our baby)
elizabethrn87 I feel ya- I've given up on eating meals. i just snack all day now.
Plus one for major bloat and constipation. I used to poo everyday. Now it’s like every 4 or 5. I feel so disgusting. I do have an appetite but feel gross and full and even nauseas after a few bites of anything. Food is just not settling the way it should. Which also means my heartburn (that I have with every pregnancy) is probably right around the corner!
on the positive side, baby is a strong moving machine. Myself and my husband and kids have all felt him kick from the outside. It’s pretty awesome.
I’ve been so flighty lately. Baby brain is no joke. Grabbing last minute things before I left the house today took me an extra 10 minutes, I would walk into a room and immediately forget what I went into that room for. Repeat 10x
@acunamatada seriously this baby brain is terrible! DH has a hard time understanding that my mine is constantly working on a list and for him to randomly stop me in my tracks for something as simple as giving him chapstick throws me off track and i forget what i was doing.
I’m having awful leg cramps day and night, this is a weird symptom to me. Insomnia is real from 2-4am and so exhausting can finally eat and though food doesn’t sound great I’m happy to have an appetite!
My doctor had me use this recipe in my first pregnancy when I was constipated. It did not taste good at all, but it helped! Dried apricots also helped if I had 2-3 each morning.
It must be the week for constipation to kick-in. +1 over here. I brought it up at my 18 week appointment and my OB recommended fiber, which I thought would be counterproductive but no. I got some Benefiber yesterday so waiting to see if it'll work. I also have IBS-C to deal with and needed to change up my regimen but I'm hoping the fiber will make a difference.
+1 for constipation over here too. Not too bad but the last 2 days I felt like it was starting. Took a dose of fiber gummies last night and all it did was give me a ton of toxic gas today. ugh..
me too. I've been pretty regular since coming out of the first trimester.

IVe resorted to eating prunes to help with my lack of bathroom time.
Side note- I fainted on the subway this morning, it was terrifying, I could not see. All I could think is, if I completely pass out no one will help the baby, because no one here knows I’m pregnant. I somehow didn’t completely lose consciousness. I was able to get off between stations and control my breathing and my vision came back. I had fruit on me so I ate some of that- which I think helped. I went ahead to work - I have a check up scheduled for tonight- so I called to see if need to be seen sooner- they got me an appointment at 2. So hopefully all is well, I remember a few of you ladies used to get lightheaded and faint early on. But of course I’m nervous. Any advice while I wait to see the doctor.
Also- are there like pregnancy medical bracelets? Maybe we should all get them.
@catftm2018 omg how scary! I hope everything is ok! I think our hearts have a harder time pumping the double amount of blood we have flowing with the babes. Did you stand up too fast? also maybe low blood sugar? I bet the dr will be able to help figure out what happened.

@MichelleAG05 That recipe seems unappetizing, but I'm willing to try anything at this point. Do you just straight up eat it? Or did you put it on something? I get a lot of fiber in my diet already, but I guess I need more because once every 3 days isn't comfortable. Just ate the last of the dried persimmons we had which do help.
From what I understand from my EMT friends (at least in this area) an EMT will check all jewelry, but a regular passerby might not know to look if it's not an obvious thing like a bracelet.
@noideawhatshesdoing - I just straight up ate it from a spoon. Some of the comments had other suggestions on forms of bran to use that were tastier and/or freezing it. Definitely don't use cinnamon applesauce combined with prune juice. Yuck!

I'm also sending you some pooping energy, lol. Aside from when I eat crap all day, I've been super regular. Gotta enjoy it while it lasts.
