Lurking on other boards....
I was just lurking around on some other bump boards and was soooo surprised to see how rude people can be to each other! it made me SO glad that everyone here has been so welcoming and supportive. We really have enough going on without worrying about other bumpies trying to shut us down. so thanks all of you November 2011 Moms for being so wonderful!

I sometimes find that some regulars on other boards are mean just to be mean. And I'm not talking about the ones who give it to you straight when you ask a dumb question (i.e. Q: "My period is a week late, do you think I'm pregnant?" A: "Um, POAS?"). I'm talking about the ones who are mean to those who probably talk a little different (example: A poster: "I'm preggers!" Another poster: "It's "pregnant." You sound stupid, now go to 1st tri.") and are the same ones to use acronyms like OMG, PWNED, and LOL. Or the others who spend more time picking at grammar mistakes than addressing the issue (like: "use a semicolon, not a comma! Did you even pay attention in school?? GOSH!!").
Anyway, you get my point. Like I said in another post, we have our disagreements (absolutely!!), but we don't really go below the belt with our punches. Now, I'm not saying we are puppies and rainbows. You certainly won't get that here. But you will see some pretty cool ladies.

I actually laughed out loud at this. Commas are one of the few things my husband and I ever argue about. I suppose that is what happens when two grammar nerds get married!
I don't even lurk on other boards much anymore. I stick to our month, cloth diaper, breast feeding, working moms and baby names. I get (and try not to give) enough negativity on the BNB to fill my quota. I do love that we have such a nice group. Seeing the others be so snarky has actually made me stop and pause when replying on our board.
I gave up on the 1st tri board after I found our month board. The constant "omg I'm pregnant! I know I just had my cycle last week and haven't even ovulated yet but we didn't use protection last night and now I feel funny so I just KNOW I'm pg!!" posts got a little old. Sorry, but its true. Anyone lurk on the babies on the brain board? I saw a couple links to that board in other posts and started lurking, but I can't quite figure out what the point/topic is, you know? Everything is so random, but seems to be the same group of people. I felt like I was eavesdropping on a hs clique chatting.
