  • Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment):   TWW

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): not sure

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): I've altered my vitamins - PNV, fish oil, vit d and vit c, maca root for energy.

    Rants/Raves
:  The last 4 nights I'm back to normal sleep again thank god!  Although still wake up once a night in hot flash and actually had a little heartburn last night which is not normal for me.  I'm taking a couple steps back from TTC.  Medicated cycles are not for me, but I'm happy for those of you that are able to do it fine.  Unfortunately clomid has made me a little anxious but oddly enough I feel at peace now that I tried it and am done.  I can work on getting back to where I was at prior to it.

Rant -- our new hamster is really anti social and bit me last night.  DD is scared to pick him up now and wants to trade him in for a female tonight.  3rd times a charm right?  It's really too bad our original got sick.  He was a great hamster

    Questions for the group:
I'll be getting a prog draw later this week.  For those of you that have done medicated cycle do you find it's higher?  my last draw in the fall was 14.

GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid??
I know it's not 80s but I use to watch that talking horse show on nickelodeon at nights with my dad when my mom was at ceramics class.

What are you thankful for this week?
    sleep :)

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): Waiting on March AF for next steps.

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): who knows....not counting this month.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Just had FET consult for March. PNV, wheatgrass, dim supplement, Fish Oil, folate, Ubiquinol.

    Rants/Raves
: Looking forward to next month. Saw our 6 hatched embryos today, so made me feel good. Rant: It's been cold the past few days, so heat won't get as high as usual.  :|

GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid?? Full House

What are you thankful for this week?
It's my bday month, so happy to have a few weeks to relax and no stress from ttc stuff. Besides talking to you ladies (which is fun) :)

:  I am so sad about our sweet foster dog. He was so, so sick his One lung was riddled with cancer and his other was filled with fluid. He was acting normal till about 2-3 days before. For the weeks we swore he was improving. Playing with toys, eating non stop... ugh this weekend broke our hearts. We loved him so much.

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid??
So many... Punky Brewster, Facts of Life, Married with Children, fragile rock, Golden girls, you can’t say that on television... so many

What are you thankful for this week? I am So thankful that I got To show Clarence Love and kindness these last few months and that he got spoiled as hell for his final days.
  • @ndz2018 (((hugs))) My heart breaks for you! But like you said, least you know his last days were really good ones! He's lucky to have had you with him. <3

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): testing

    CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD3

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Just had my CD3 diagnostic testing done this morning so I should hear back later today re: labs. The TV u/s was fine but was uncomfortable bc my ovaries like to hide behind my uterus. She counted 5 follies (3=rt, 2 lft). Wednesday I'll have a saline HSG and Thursday I'll have a saline u/s. I'm happy to have these scheduled bc I really want to know what's going on in there. I'm taking prenatal vitamins, CoQ10 & Vitamin D3.

    Rants/Raves
:  I'm just feeling blah and tired today. Our DS woke up at 4am so I've been up since then. I guess that plus being a little crampy from the TV u/s and it being CD3, I just want to crawl back into bed.

    Questions for the group:
I've had an HSG done before but with the dye/xrays. The pain was intense-I'm guessing bc I had a blocked tube. This time it'll be with saline. Anyone else have it done this way too? Pain level? Also, I just picked up my RX for ABX and it's 2 pills in am and 2 pills in pm! Warning label sites diarrhea is possible. I had to take them for the last one I did but not in this quantity! Anyone else?

GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid??
I loved Pinwheel on Nickelodeon plus The Great Space Coaster, The Secret Garden and Saturday morning cartoons!

What are you thankful for this week?
I'm thankful for my supportive DH & my cousin. He's been my rock and she's always jumping in asking how she can help.

I'm so sorry about your loss @ndz2018 (hugs) @mich_elle - ugh 4am wake up by DS? ouch! hopefully you can get in a nap. That sleep schedule was me last week and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

@kristimh80 - glad you saw the embryos.  that would be cool!

  • @mich_elle Saline ultrasound is so much better than the HSG!! I'd take 600mg or more of tylenol before you have it done to ease some discomfort. I've done it twice and both were quick and simple processes. HSG made me feel like I was getting PMS and just like yuck! I've never heard or taken ABX, so not sure what it is for.

: I had the shortest cycle of my life -- 15 days, after a weird light last period; I'm on a medication for acne (spironolactone) that can mess with your periods (but is safe prior to conception). I may have to stop it, even though I've never had these issues with it when I've used it before.

GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid??
    The Wonder Years

What are you thankful for this week?
I'm thankful for a very patient husband who drove us to a city 4 hours away for the weekend so I could celebrate my friend's 40th birthday with our college friends while he babysat our son.

@vlagrl29 yeah, DH got up at 3am when he first woke up to give me rest bc my cramps are usu so bad at beginning of my cycles but, since he had to go work early, he got me up at 4 to deal with him. He slept well last night so I did too.

@kristimh80 thanks for sharing. I've had both done as well a few years ago. I did take ABX for the HSG but not in this dosage! (500mg this am, 500mg this pm!) plus I took 4 Advil 1 hr prior but it still hurt like hell. Maybe bc I had a blocked tube? The saline sono was much less painful than the HSG. The difference now is that 1) they'll be using saline instead of the radiographic dye (which is supposed to hurt less) and 2) my saline sono will be the very next day so maybe doing these tests back-to-back requires a stronger ABX? Not sure.

@marijaa333 sorry to hear about CD1 coming instead of O. Will you ask your dr about whether or not the meds are to blame? GL!

  • @mich_elle Yes, HSG is the worst of them all. I don't have a blocked tube, so pain did subside quickly for me. I just hope I never have to do another one! lol Yes, I'd hope they'd let you have a stronger RX if doing back to back if you've had issues in the past. I know nothing about ABX? I just use max strength tylenol.

  • @vlagrl29 it's not that we arnt trying but just not focusing on it and what happens happens. It's funny I was thinking the other day and I think this has helped the whole I need kids thing is we just randomly booked a trip we couldn't do that with kids, I stayed in bed all weekend it was quiet and I was snuggles up with the dogs watching movies I literally didn't move all weekend I wouldn't be able to do that with kids so as much as I want them there are pros to not having them and I can live with that.

@ndz2018 sorry about your foster. It's so tough but you gave him a good last few months. Hopefully when your heart's heal you could foster another.

@kristimh80 awww keeping my fingers crossed for you.
  • @kristimh80 - great news for your little girl babies!

@Labluver2 - oh I get it as I'm sure you are still trying but it's not in the front of your brain.  Yesterday I stopped like half my supplements. No more coq10 or any of the ones my naturopath added. Honestly we were doing really well. I got over the year loss of our cp. new year with new goals. Building my business even more. Those are my focus. I told dh yesterday I will need the month of March off. Still have sex but if it's in my fertile window condom or pull out.

  • @kristimh80 - thanks! I took a break from June-August. It was fabulous. During my DDs summer break. She kept me busy. Came back into ttc in sept ready to put in some effort but relax with the timing as I can easily get stressed with it all. This upcoming break will be similar to the summer one I belief. I'm just so exhausted and tired from the last 2 weeks.

@ndz2018 - DD wants to name her Angel.  What an ordeal we've had with hamsters.  The first one having a prolapsed rectum and being put to sleep, then the 2nd one who was very anti social and barked at us not wanting to be held.  But I think this girl is a keeper.  She's really sweet.  Our puppy knocked over her cage yesterday morning so that was scary.  Luckily she only had a scratch on her foot.

  • Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): Miracle news!!! We had 2 of our 3 embryos come back PGS normal!!!!!!! Because of our Mexico cruise in April, RE won’t do our transfer due to Zika risk, so I’m benched for awhile but I’m to call on CD1 in May so transfer likely 7 weeks after that so late June maybe? I hate the delay but get the risk. Bottom line is we are still in shock at my age that this happened! I know we aren’t out of the woods yet but I’m feeling this might actually happen now!

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD2- period after retrieval is awful! Plus we moved down to Kansas yesterday so I’m wiped out!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Coq10 prenat, vit D, clean organic eating

    Rants/Raves
: I'm excited that we got this news and that I live with DH again! This news makes our living apart since sept for this worth it! Never give up miracles happen!

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid?? Three’s Company, Fraggle Rock, MacGyver

What are you thankful for this week? Reuniting with DH and being home.
  • @kristimh80 yay on your two girls that’s awesome!!! When will you transfer?

@Labluver2 isn’t it incredible the changes that eating clean can bring? I took a break after retrieval and need to back off the sugar again...

@vlagrl29 that hamster is so darn cute! Glad you got a gentle girl for DD.
  • @Momifbysea That's awesome news!!! I'll be transferring the end of April. We also are supposed to be going to Mexico for a wedding in July, but if I have to miss it...hopefully it's for good reason! We are considering going to Hawaii instead if can't go. I wish Zika stuff would go away! We can't go many fun places with it!

  • @kristimh80 yeah I work in public health and it’s serious. My brother and SIL are pregnant and cancelled going with us on the cruise (he is a neurosurgeon and she’s a NP) due to the Zika. I told the RE that DH and I were planning to both stay indoors on the ship when it’s in port and use condoms entire pregnancy and he STILL wasn’t comfortable so it’s better to just wait, have fun on the cruise and be relaxed and stress free for transfer!

@Momifbysea - yea!  I'm so happy for you.  That was a long time coming!  Sucks about the wait but it will go fast.  Glad you got the move behind you and you are a lot closer to me now :)

2 good days in a row so I'm hopeful the worst of clomid is out of me.  2 weeks off of it now.  I'll still wake middle of night and have a mild hot flash.  DH and I have decided not to persue medical intervention with TTC.  It's not for me.

@Momifbysea OMG I AM SOOO FREAKIN HAPPY FOR YOU!
  • @Momifbysea That is AMAZING news! I’m so happy for you!

@kristimh80 Thanks for saying that. I always feel guilty when I get sad because there are so many people who have had a tougher time, and I don’t want to be ungrateful for what I have. It’s definitely a balance and you’re right, sometimes it’s just not “easy”!
  • @Momifbysea OMG that's awesome news!!!! I'm so excited for you!!! We are going to Mexico in April too!!! I just need a nice relaxing vacation after this year of TTC.
  • I had some light spotting start today which is a week prior to AF starting. My guess is AF will come a little earlier since my O date was a few days early. I'm ready to get some energy back! Been tired all week.

  • @vlagrl29 I had that same thing happen to me when I took Femara for the IUIs. You said you’ll take a break from ttc this cycle right?
  • @ndz2018 I forgot when your transfer will be, you’re benched awhile still right? I’ll be hanging out benched a while with you all, like 4 months! The weird thing is that I’m scared to not use protection during this time since we have a pretty good chance with two so I almost feel like the responsible thing to do since we committed to the IVF is to not try on our own and be super safe.
