Re: TTCA35 Weekly Checkin : 2/12/18
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): not sure
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): I've altered my vitamins - PNV, fish oil, vit d and vit c, maca root for energy.
Rants/Raves: The last 4 nights I'm back to normal sleep again thank god! Although still wake up once a night in hot flash and actually had a little heartburn last night which is not normal for me. I'm taking a couple steps back from TTC. Medicated cycles are not for me, but I'm happy for those of you that are able to do it fine. Unfortunately clomid has made me a little anxious but oddly enough I feel at peace now that I tried it and am done. I can work on getting back to where I was at prior to it.
Rant -- our new hamster is really anti social and bit me last night. DD is scared to pick him up now and wants to trade him in for a female tonight. 3rd times a charm right? It's really too bad our original got sick. He was a great hamster
Questions for the group: I'll be getting a prog draw later this week. For those of you that have done medicated cycle do you find it's higher? my last draw in the fall was 14.
GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid?? I know it's not 80s but I use to watch that talking horse show on nickelodeon at nights with my dad when my mom was at ceramics class.
What are you thankful for this week? sleep
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): who knows....not counting this month.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Just had FET consult for March. PNV, wheatgrass, dim supplement, Fish Oil, folate, Ubiquinol.
Rants/Raves: Looking forward to next month. Saw our 6 hatched embryos today, so made me feel good. Rant: It's been cold the past few days, so heat won't get as high as usual.
GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid?? Full House
What are you thankful for this week? It's my bday month, so happy to have a few weeks to relax and no stress from ttc stuff. Besides talking to you ladies (which is fun)

Rants/Raves: I am so sad about our sweet foster dog. He was so, so sick his One lung was riddled with cancer and his other was filled with fluid. He was acting normal till about 2-3 days before. For the weeks we swore he was improving. Playing with toys, eating non stop... ugh this weekend broke our hearts. We loved him so much.

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD3
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Just had my CD3 diagnostic testing done this morning so I should hear back later today re: labs. The TV u/s was fine but was uncomfortable bc my ovaries like to hide behind my uterus. She counted 5 follies (3=rt, 2 lft). Wednesday I'll have a saline HSG and Thursday I'll have a saline u/s. I'm happy to have these scheduled bc I really want to know what's going on in there. I'm taking prenatal vitamins, CoQ10 & Vitamin D3.
Rants/Raves: I'm just feeling blah and tired today. Our DS woke up at 4am so I've been up since then. I guess that plus being a little crampy from the TV u/s and it being CD3, I just want to crawl back into bed.
Questions for the group: I've had an HSG done before but with the dye/xrays. The pain was intense-I'm guessing bc I had a blocked tube. This time it'll be with saline. Anyone else have it done this way too? Pain level? Also, I just picked up my RX for ABX and it's 2 pills in am and 2 pills in pm! Warning label sites diarrhea is possible. I had to take them for the last one I did but not in this quantity! Anyone else?
GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid?? I loved Pinwheel on Nickelodeon plus The Great Space Coaster, The Secret Garden and Saturday morning cartoons!
What are you thankful for this week? I'm thankful for my supportive DH & my cousin. He's been my rock and she's always jumping in asking how she can help.

Rants/Raves: I had the shortest cycle of my life -- 15 days, after a weird light last period; I'm on a medication for acne (spironolactone) that can mess with your periods (but is safe prior to conception). I may have to stop it, even though I've never had these issues with it when I've used it before.
Questions for the group:
GTKY: What’s your favorite 80s TV show(s) as a kid?? The Wonder Years
What are you thankful for this week? I'm thankful for a very patient husband who drove us to a city 4 hours away for the weekend so I could celebrate my friend's 40th birthday with our college friends while he babysat our son.
@kristimh80 thanks for sharing. I've had both done as well a few years ago. I did take ABX for the HSG but not in this dosage! (500mg this am, 500mg this pm!) plus I took 4 Advil 1 hr prior but it still hurt like hell. Maybe bc I had a blocked tube? The saline sono was much less painful than the HSG. The difference now is that 1) they'll be using saline instead of the radiographic dye (which is supposed to hurt less) and 2) my saline sono will be the very next day so maybe doing these tests back-to-back requires a stronger ABX? Not sure.
@marijaa333 sorry to hear about CD1 coming instead of O. Will you ask your dr about whether or not the meds are to blame? GL!

@ndz2018 sorry about your foster. It's so tough but you gave him a good last few months. Hopefully when your heart's heal you could foster another.
@kristimh80 awww keeping my fingers crossed for you.
@Labluver2 - oh I get it as I'm sure you are still trying but it's not in the front of your brain. Yesterday I stopped like half my supplements. No more coq10 or any of the ones my naturopath added. Honestly we were doing really well. I got over the year loss of our cp. new year with new goals. Building my business even more. Those are my focus. I told dh yesterday I will need the month of March off. Still have sex but if it's in my fertile window condom or pull out.

2 good days in a row so I'm hopeful the worst of clomid is out of me. 2 weeks off of it now. I'll still wake middle of night and have a mild hot flash. DH and I have decided not to persue medical intervention with TTC. It's not for me.
@kristimh80 Thanks for saying that. I always feel guilty when I get sad because there are so many people who have had a tougher time, and I don’t want to be ungrateful for what I have. It’s definitely a balance and you’re right, sometimes it’s just not “easy”!
