@elizabethrn87 Good luck! Is this the part where you actually try a mask to see if it helps your sleep? If so, my husband has sleep apnea and said that was the best night of sleep he'd maybe ever had (even with all the wires, not his bed, away from home, etc). He'd gone so long with basically no sleep (without knowing it) that when he finally did sleep, it was fantastic! I hope it goes just as well for you
Was to determine if I needed the mask. Actually didn’t ( at least they never came and put it on me). They said it was my restless legs are so bad that I’m not getting good sleep. I’ll get the official report in a week
Making bread and bagels. Had both screens up. Read the wrong one and put too much yeast in the bread (only called for 1/4 teaspoon??). Hope that doesn't screw everything up lol.
@lindsayleigh1989 have you tried stretching? I’m not on the flexible side anymore so sometimes it hurts for a few seconds, lol, but calms the legs once I lay back down!
@gspmom21 oh yeah extensively but im going to try doing some yoga to start strengthening my core and legs to help hopefully especially with sciatic stuff
@SmashJam I know nothing about making bread but I hope it still comes out ok!
My husband just let me take a 2 hour nap while he dealt with our son. We were up late last night since we went out for the first time since November. We did one of those escape/adventure puzzle rooms for a friend's birthday, which was pretty fun. Then this morning I got my 3 hour test results and pretty sure I failed but not positive because I'm on the cusp of the ranges and it's confusing. So I spent a while crying and sulking this morning and now I just feel tired and depressed that I probably have gestational diabetes. Trying to muster up the energy to go grocery shopping.
not much more than my current. I’m guessing add some different medications. I was on requip for it before getting pregnant- and it helps but I was still fatigued all the time from not getting adequate sleep.
Other things i do I do is leg raises, hot baths, heating pads, lotion. When it’s teally bad I will put Charlie horses into my legs to create a different type of pain - like a distraction.
@elizabethrn87 when you say "lotion" do you mean the magnesium lotion? I was wondering about that for my own restless legs and since I heard about it from a "natural mama" group I follow I was unsure if it would work...sometimes I take what I read there with a grain of salt.
Is anyone getting upper abdominal discomfort/pain like rib cage line? i called the nurse line and she was super unhelpful and just suggested i go to the ER. I really dont want to do that it isnt overly bad just uncomfortable and i know baby isnt that high yet. ugh
We have our anatomy scan tomorrow afternoon and I am so anxious. Everyone just keeps telling me to be excited to find out the gender (which I am!), and I’m over here like “WHAT ABOUT ITS HEART AND BRAIN, THO?!” I just want to know that everything is okay and the peanut is healthy.
@lindsayleigh1989 could it be gas or just air pressure? I had some hard pains recently that didn’t show up till i was in bed. It kept me up most of the night but slowly went away.
@lindsayleigh1989 I get really sharp pains at the base of my rib cage, I did with DS too. But I think mine is a rib issue, I can wiggle the bottom rib on that side-I’m pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen!
@lindsayleigh1989 last pregnancy I had a really bad burning/cramping type pain that sort of felt like it would move across my upper rib to my back. I called and spoke to a midwife and she didn’t think it was pregnancy related or anything serious so I just let it pass. I wonder if this is similar to what you’re experiencing?
@samjjorgensen I'm with you! Ours is Thursday and I just want it to be over. I've been so relaxed since the second trimester hit, and now I feel worried again. Trying not to do that too much but it's so hard to block all of the negative thoughts sometimes!
@lindsayleigh1989 what does it feel like exactly? Not that I can diagnose you but just curious. When I was farther along in previous pregnancies I had a burning/numb sensation at about my lower rib line on the right side. My OB suggested it was a knot of nerves stretching out. It was not comfortable at all.
@flockofmoosen3 it was odd thankfully it has passed but it spread across my whole upper stomach but i felt it more on my right side it felt like a tightness going all the way across almost like a cramp that wouldn't release but different than contractions
