I'm 90% effaced and 0 cm dilated I know that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, esp since my due date is 3/18 but like everyone else I am SO MISERABLE. My husband is a big guy and it seems like Aidan is taking after him. He is all up on my cervix which causes a lot of pain through most of the day. I hope he comes soonish!!
Yeah I am with you @muggle621, with the pelvic pain and now constant headaches I am totally open to having him at 38 weeks, though I do want him to be as healthy as possible.
I think I pulled a muscle on the side of my belly when I turned over last night. Ugh...
me too! it's kinda where RLP is, so I feel like if I describe to anyone they'll think it's that.
also, I have a cold. I was healthy for like 2.5 weeks and now sick again! wtf.
also, also I feel so far behind everyone else. Due 3/25 and sooo not ready for LO to come. baby hasn't dropped so that's probably a big part of it. You are all so close - I'm cheering for you!
Had my weekly appointment this afternoon and in a week I gained 7lbs! Although that brings the total to 8lbs this whole pregnancy, I feel like that is a lot to gain in one week. My doctor didn't seem concerned so I guess I shouldn't be either, but this mixed with measuring ahead and being in pain makes me feel worried.
@sassypants2010 I wouldn’t worry too much if the doctor didn’t say anything. I think at this point water weight and I know I keep getting constipated and diarrhea depending on the day and the baby is gaining more now. I lost 2 pounds one week, gained 3 the next, and then stayed the same. I have gained about 6 pounds from the beginning and 13 from my lowest point.
@sassypants2010 I always measure ahead too but my doctor thinks it's because I carry high ( and my babies never want to drop until birth). I have weekly ultrasounds because of being AMA and the baby consistently measures in the 66th percentile despite fundal heights showing way bigger. It's also totally normal to have a week where your weight spikes out of nowhere.
@sassypants2010, I totally understand! I had dropped so much weight in first and second trimester. I too gained 6 pounds in a week (also my most recent appointment). They weren’t concerned since it’s still only a gain of 10 pounds from pre-pregnancy weight but definitely jarring. Don’t forget though that we may have indulged in less healthy options last week due to Valentines Day (I know I did). Plus the water weight and constipation like @megpeg said. Also, if you’re concerned about external measurements measuring ahead, you can ask them if they’ll do a third trimester growth scan. It’s far more accurate than external measurements (by external measurements I was 2 weeks ahead but at the growth scan was only 10 days ahead).
@maelily15 I have had 4 growth scans already, which is part of why it is frustrating. Everything looks within norms so he told me it could just be baby's position is weird. I am just being moody and should just enjoy the fact that I have no signs of anything super bad going on like some other mommas.
39 weeks- my mucus plug made it's appearance yesterday at dinner and since then there has been a ton of pressure on my nether regions. Last night I had pretty intense cramping, and it was almost every ten minutes for about two hours. Since they were only in my lower abdomen, I think they are just strong BH as opposed to early labor. Now I'm not feeling much.
I only lost my mucous plug with the first after a cercvical check. My labor started 12 hours later. The other spontaneous delivery my water broke and I labored for a while before it came out.
Edit my other two were augmented with pitocin and nothing came out until far into my labor. However, I keep checking every time I pee for this illusive plug like it's a precurser to my labor even though I have labored a long time in the past without it making an appearance until later. Waiting for labor can drive you crazy.
I lost it with my first two! Early though. At least a good 3 weeks before delivery. I’ve never had my bloody show at home, always at the hospital while they check me they mention it. Weird how everyone differs!
I don’t think I have seen my mucus plug with my first two and haven’t yet with this one either.
I got like 4 hours of sleep last night because of contractions. And Yesterday I developed hemroids. And this morning I have to teach Sunday school and feel like a hormonal mess and like crying.
I thought with my minimal stretch marks up to this point, I was just going to be one of the lucky ones. Guess not. 36 weeks now and they all literally just appeared everywhere overnight.
I went to a party with my husband last night, and I was talking with the other ladies about our previous birth experiences and how it happened. I was surprised to hear how many people had their water break before contractions. It’s supposed to be on the rarer side of things, but it seems to happen fairly often. I asked if they had gotten a cervical check in the day or so before hand, and it was 50/50. I had a check on that Wednesday, wasn’t dilated, lost my mucus plug in the early hours of Thursday morning, then my water broke around 4pm Thursday.
It could all be a coincidence, but I will definitey have my bag packed for my appointment this Thursday. I’ll be 38w5d, and it’ll be my first check. I’m so anxious to see how labor will start this time!
Week 38 +5 days. Oh the fun of pooing and hemroids. Baby is kicking at me with determination...I can tell he is long and just uncomfortable now poor thing. I cry at least 3 times a day for diverse reasons. Hormones are wacky. At least I had a good sleep last night and I'm off work. Going to help my mom organize a "baby room" in her house today ❤️ and just take in these last few days as peaceful as I can.
I had my strep B test today and a cervical check. After the check (a few hours later), I had a brownish chunk in the toilet after peeing. I’m not sure if it was my plug or just a clot of old blood. My contractions were so strong yesterday. Thought they were full blown labor but apparently only Braxton Hicks. Between the anemia, roids, feeling huge, Braxton Hicks, and sheer exhaustion I’m definitely ready for this baby to arrive.
I’m also in the collecting of symptoms phase. I’ll be 36 weeks on Friday and I feel how I felt at 40 weeks (or more uncomfortable than I ever got) with my first 2 pregnancies. Third pregnancies are brutal - my body is like “I don’t feel like trying...” In the last few days, I’ve shifted to an “off” stomach and less of an appetite. Around 27 weeks I had some issues with an irritable uterus and those symptoms are sneaking back (lots of low cramping and more frequent contractions that I can tell are more than BH but won’t cause progress). Acid reflux has arrived. The sore pelvis and waddling that accompanies it. Oh and insomnia came flying in 3 nights ago in a big way and she’s not leaving (the massive snoring of DH didn’t help while he’s been finishing off the congestion leftover from the flu). What’s crazy is I’ve always gone overdue so I know I could still go overdue even with all of these symptoms. Trying to buckle down for the long haul.

Killer headaches all day for the past 5 days terrible knot of pain on bottom left side that comes in waves..... morning sickness returned with a vengeance It’s been a looong weekend and then some
Baby has dropped extremely low I feel like he is going to fall out also lots of cramps and back aches on and off the past few days . They sent me up to Labor and delivery at my 37 week check up because his heart rate was jumping but once they hooked me on the monitor everything was fine but it gave us a scare. I did have two contractions in the 20 minutes I was on the monitor though I'm hoping it's a good sign that labor is near but I won't hold my breath lol. Edited to add anyone else having thigh pain? My upper thighs are so achy.
Ahh I love seeing everyone's baby updates! It is making me so impatient to meet this little girl though haha.
Has anyone else had zero contractions? I don't think I have ever had any BH contractions or other 'practice' contractions. I am 37+3 and OB said she is super low in the pelvis and feeling a ton of pressure and weight but no contractions to speak of. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@GG620 I'm 36+2 and haven't felt any contractions, that I'm aware of. Just playing the waiting game but I'm starting to feel so impatient with all these beautiful babies being born.
38 +5 today. I am 3 cm and 50% effaced with a bulging bag(they had to break my water last time because of that). She scraped my membrane, we came home had sex, and I took a shower. Hopefully that all gets things going.
