@prudence9-2 my FET won’t be until mid-May based on my calculations. But won’t know specific dates until my next AF.

@mrsyng I must have missed it, when was your retrieval? How many made it to blast? Will you be doing a medicated FET?

Hey girls.  I’m still waiting for my next appointment.  Anyone else have anything exciting going on or coming up?

@josiepasta I had my 2nd beta today. I was hoping for a x4 number. But it wasn’t quite there. The nurse told me that they want anything above 60% increase every 2 days. And my increase was about 78%. So I’m still in the game. But not as confident. Next beta on Thurs.

@prudence9-2 I had my ER on 3/20 with 21 eggs, 17 matures, 15 fertilized with ICSI and 11 embryos made it to freeze. So we have a few to hopefully get at least a successful thb. I’m hoping it won’t take too many FET. And yes, I will be on meds to stimulate for my FET in may. Just trying to be patient, this waiting game is taking forever. I’m keeping my fingers crossed I won’t be stressed out in May..

@prudence9-2 a 78% increase is great!  You're definitely where you're supposed to be.  My first to second beta increase was 89% and I remember being slightly concerned it wasn't a true double - so I understand your loss of confidence.  FX for next beta!

@mrsyng 11 frozen is great! Will you transfer 1 or 2? For your wait, try squeezing in some fun things that you won’t be able to do while pregnant.  

@josiepasta thanks. I’m trying to stay positive. It did help that when I got home last night and took off my bra my boobs were sore. So that made me happy.

@prudence9-2 hooray for sore boobs!  Every time one of my dogs bumps into my chest trying to cuddle and I feel the sharp pain, I remind myself that it’s a great sign!

@prudence9-2 I’m hoping to transfer 2 embryos. I just emailed my RE earlier asking about it so I will wait for her response tomorrow. I really hope your beta does increase tomorrow! Good luck!

@josiepasta i don’t miss that boob pain. After my ER my boobs were so tender/painful as if I was already prego! my dog also loves to jump on me and he doesn’t realize his 17 lb self is pretty heavy and them paws on boobs are a no no.

but with my almost 3 yo i only had sore boobs for like a week and then I literally had zero symptoms the rest of my pregnancy.  I would feel myself up all the time to check if they were still sore lol.

@cmarieb35 thanks for saying that. I know it’s early and symptoms are not even constant at this point. But all after I’ve been thru, I’m afraid of another failure.

Just got back the results of the PGS. Out of 7, 3 were found to be missing chromosomes, which leaves us with 4 embryos (3 boys and 1 girl!)!!

@josiepasta yes. Just got the results now!!! You can imagine my day waiting...

The number increased by another 89%. So it’s 1671 now. First u/s on Tuesday when I’m 5w 5d. Needless to say how relieved I am. I got so used to bad news that the wait wasn’t easy.

We likely will start with a boy. Our clinic doesn’t allow more than one transfer at a time, unfortunately! Congrats to everyone with babies on the way!

@lizy181 I was going to ask you if you can transfer more than one.  I am waiting on my pgs/pgd results and I asked my dr if I can transfer two but was told only one. I still am not clear on why they will only transfer one when the time comes. 

@prudence9-2 rx for you! So happy to hear the news thus far

@lizy181 I think because PGS embryos have such high success rate (unless you’re me) that clinics wouldn’t risk the possibility of twins. After you have few failed PGS transfers, they might agree you transfer two at once.
