We had a ton of different ideas for announcements but we finally settled on this. We'll be announcing in the next couple days. I would changed the filter but it hides all the crappy erasing marks better than the other filters Tonight, we went ahead and called the people we wanted to know beforehand and we're just waiting to get in contact with one more person before posting to social media.
Here's my valentine card getting mailed out Monday to family and friends. Most everyone knows now but some don't. I don't have FB so my mom /mil may take a pic of the card and post to FB to let their friends know.
We had my SO’s parents and brother along with my mum and sister over for a small family dinner and we announce to everybody there! I made a chocolate cake and I (badly) piped the words “Oh baby!” on the top in green and we served it for dessert, everybody was so shocked when we brought it out. I stupidly didn’t think to take a photo of it and now there is only a quarter left and it has half of a “b” and smudged “y”. I’m not a very creative person so I haven’t done anything nearly as cool as everybody else’s! We haven’t posted anything on social media yet as we aren’t very active on any but we will probably just put a blurb on there at some point. @elsieisamoocow Your announcement is so sweet and heartfelt! @laurasue0513 Such a sweet idea!
This is the tshirt we got for DS to announce to the ILs when we visit them in FL next weekend. FIL is a retired cop so I know he’ll appreciate it. Well just let DS wear it and see how long it takes them to pick up on it! When we announced I was pregnant with DS to them, we put a tshirt in our dog that said “I’m going to be a big sister” and they thought it was a riot so I bet they like this. Can’t wait to tell them so I can finally spill the beans to everyone else!!
We told our immediate families as a last Christmas present, and they’ve been dying to spread the word ever since. Just announced in social media this weekend! Our dog is the first baby so this seemed fitting.
@nugs41 cute! I have a random question lol. Is that clip holding your photo a clip made for letter boards? Or did you just stick it on there somehow? I'm going to do a similar thing with mine when we reveal the sex

@elsieisamoocow it is a clip that was screwed in already, but it looks like an easy diy project! I found it at homegoods for like $10 a few weeks ago, brand is Burne of Boston
Here is ours. Just posted it today, sans the covered up faces of course
Hey girl hey, we were on J14 together!!!! (hopefully you can figure out who I am from my bump name - we still have each other on IG and FB so maybe you know I'm due with #3 and first girl!) What a small world - yay to being on another BMB together!!
We are not going to announce on facebook until after our anatomy scan, if ever. My surviving kids are older we have had 13 losses over the last 10 years. This is how we announced last July our most recent pregnancy at 20 weeks. He was stillborn at 26 weeks. We have a weighted teddy that we will include in our announcement and we are hoping for a girl so we can do something cute like watch out future boyfriends. I love the rain brings rainbows announcement. With 2 second trimester losses under our belts we are just not ready to face the pity looks and do you think this one will make it questions a public announcement brings. My close family has all been told privately.
All the time. I have people who have flat out said we are not getting excited for you until this one is born. Family, who you think would get it, ask me if i feel this one is sticking every few weeks.
That is terrible @busymama84. I’ve had some insensitive things said to me after our losses, but nothing nearly as bad as that. I hope this is finally your rainbow.

My sister had 2-20 week losses back to back. We had funerals and it was so sad. The girls both lived for just a few minutes but were just too small for any life saving procedures.
And sadly, people said the same BS to her. I guess she was fortunate in learning it was a simple fix. She had IC. This was 20 years ago and frustratingly took two losses for the doctors to figure it out.
Today has 3 girls. The oldest is a sophomore. We still remember the other girls. But I’ll never forget how heartless so many were about the losses.
@dirtanddiamonds That is so incredibly awful. I understand people not getting excited about their own pregnancies due to late term losses, they are allowed whatever emotions they feel. But other people? no you shut up and support that family. Horrible.
"So excited to make our favorite little munchkins into BIG cousins this August! We hope these guys know what they're doing because we sure as hell don't"
Thank you! Our announcement for #1 also involved fishing. We spend most of our summer and a good chunk of the winter on the lake. Your announcement is sweet, I'm sure they are super excited to be big cousins!
