Well it's been an interesting few days but I think I'm back on track for IUI this cycle!
After this weird "too thick" lining problem at my day 4 scan, I was expecting to hear back from my RE one way or the other on whether or not to start FSH injections after my blood work came in. I never got a call. I finally got a nurse on the phone the next day, who told me that the doc had ok'd me starting injections. Yay! Frustrated though that somehow I didn't get a phone call to clarify, and no one is sure what's up with my endometrium. I was a bit late starting the injections because of all this.
I had a day 9 scan today and I have three follicles on the way (all between 1.1 and 1.3 cm right now). Lining looks fine, so I'm just going to look forward and stop worrying about the weird day 4 scan!
Back for another scan in a few days and testing for LH surge (I usually surge on my own). Hope all goes smoothly and we can do the IUI early next week!

@FutureMrsMerati Af also started our yesterday for me, so I guess we'd be on a similar time frame this cycle, I'm still not on Clomid though. I hope we'd have our good news too, soon
@scikap I'm glad you got everything figured out! It's frustrating when you aren't kept in the loop with things though so I'm sorry you had to go through that.
my bloodwork was less than ideal... HCG was 26 and progesterone 19.5 I guess any HCG above 5 is pregnant but a low number can signal a CP took a test this AM, it was faint. The one I took yesterday was a digital so can't compare the two.
So basically I'm in agony until results tomorrow. Have been sending up so many prayers...

@wishing-and-hoping Keep praying and I'll pray for you too, they aren't the greatest of numbers, but when we had our cp our progesterone was only like 10, so your progesterone seems to be doing what it needs to be doing, and maybe it's just a late implanter. Im hoping and praying for you, and maybe everything will turn out fine. Good luck!!
Have three follicles measuring at 16 today! Starting Ovidrel Sunday night and Estrace three times a day starting Sunday. IUI is schedule for Monday! Hoping this works out, trying to be positive, but also not too hopeful so my heart doesn't break as hard if I get a BFN.

@wishing-and-hoping When we had our CP last month my numbers were similar. I remember the doctor mentioning that it might just be because we were testing very early after conception. FX that you're in that category, and so happy to hear that IUI is working for you!

Hi All! I am jumping in....we're going for our third IUI on Saturday and triggering with ovidrel in a couple of hours. Our 13 day scan (since I started 100mg Clomid days 4 - 10) revealed 5 potential follies. 18, 15, 15, 15, 14. Some small, but we have a few more days to let them grow. IUI is on day 17. Lining was thin at 4.9 and I've been on estrace since day 13 hoping to thicken that lining.
This is our first intervention after a natural pregnancy turned non-viable after abnormal HCG rise in October. We had a D&C, but it was our first positive ever so we're really hoping this next IUI will do the trick.

Yes, @FutureMrsMerati I hope so too. I didn't have a day 3 scan. Dr wanted to see me on my CD9, that would be on the 1st of Mar. I'd be on Premalin from CD2-CD4. Did you go on a Day 3 scan?
@tinjp78 yes, I went in for a CD3 scan yesterday to check for cysts and to see how my lining and egg supply looked, plus do baseline hormone testing. All looked good and the doctor doing the scan said I have lots of eggs and very healthy looking ovaries, which was nice to hear! I've switched REs and he's got me on a different regimen instead of the Clomid/Ovidrel combo I was taking for my first three IUIs with my former RE. I'll be starting Fermara tonight to be taken for the next 5 days. On the fifth night, I'll start the first of 3 days of Gonal F/Follistim injections, and will have to go back in on 3/2 for my CD10 checkup. Hoping this new combo yields lots of mature follicles! Let me know how your scan goes on 3/1!

@FutureMrsMerati - I did the Gonal-F injection Friday. My doctor had us do it IM instead of subcutaneous so I gave it in my arm. I had my husband hold my arm and then I injected. He's afraid of needles so there was no way he was going to inject it for me. The injection burned slightly but wasn't bad. About an hour later I had mild lightheadedness and nausea but it resolved after a few hours. Now today I'm having killer breast pain. But I don't know if it was from the Gonal-F or due to the clomid that I took from CD 3-7 (both of the medications are new to me).
AFM I have my 12 day U/S scheduled for tomorrow morning. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I've been monitoring for an LH surge just in case at home (my RE doesn't do an earlier scan and I don't want to miss ovulation) and luckily it hasn't happened yet.
Quick question - did any of your REs advised your husband on how long to avoid ejaculation prior to the IUI? I forgot to ask (I'll ask tomorrow at my appointment), but just to be safe I told my husband yesterday to abstain completely.

@wishing-and-hoping So sorry for your bad news! @linz36 Our RE told us to have sex on day 12, which is 2 days before our IUI. AFM, I had my day 13 ultrasound this morning, which showed 3 ready follicles, so they administered the Ovidrel and we go for our IUI tomorrow afternoon. FX!

@linz36 We were advised not to BD 2 days before IUI so as to have a good amount of semen for the IUI day. That's for us because my DH doesn't give out so much sample at times, but yours might not be the case. Your clinic would give you the right answer for this. Good luck on your IUI, I hope that this would be the month for you.
@wishing-and-hoping so sorry to hear I know this might not help right now, but you might find solace knowing that IUI can work for you, and that you actually did conceive. It's still hard for me to grasp too but I'm working through it, and I think it will probably hurt until we have our good news. FX for you next cycle...

@Chartleib Good luck!!! I'm on day 6 of my TWW and I'm only going slightly crazy lol. It doesn't help that I'm not the one carrying so I don't even really have symptoms to over analyze, just re googling the likelihood of a 22 year old getting pregnant on iui number five and searching this community for any and all success stories that involve the fifth iui lol. I know I'm being crazy. But I can't help it.

@linz36, look at those follies! I'm sorry I don't recall from earlier posts, but were you on clomid? Or injectables? Those are super impressive follicles, lady!
@rmartin_ttc good luck on IUI#5! Day 6 is almost half way there! I always keep track of the TWW by stages.... like day 2, ok, I shouldn't be implanting yet, it's just rolling down the tubes and then as it gets closer and closer, is it implanted? What would it feel like?! It's maddening!
I'm so sorry, @wishing-and-hoping about the probable CP. I had a pretty similar experience back in November. Our first beta hcg was 32. As weird as this sounds, the miscarriage was not as hard for me as our first and second failed IUIs. Don't get me wrong, it was a roller coaster and disappointing... but there was something positive that happened to me mentally once my uterus started showing a hint of a response. Ask me again after a few more failed months, but for now, I'm more hopeful. So maybe this CP is a good sign? Thinking of you.

@Chartleib - I didn’t even realize we would be in the TWW together...hopefully we’ll both have good news at the end!
AFM - Our IUI was this morning (I did ovidrel last night at 7pm so it was 16hr post trigger). I was surprised because it was the nurse who did it, the doctor wasn’t even there. But my husbands post wash count was between 5-10million which is better than his semenalysis 3 weeks ago so that’s hopeful. Go back tomorrow for another IUI. We will do a progesterone level between 3/5-3/8 to verify ovulation and then hcg 14 days post IUI. I’m thinking about testing out the trigger shot because I don’t think I can wait a full 14 days lol.

Afm, my next appt is on 3/1. Time is so slow for me.
@linz36, look at those follies! I'm sorry I don't recall from earlier posts, but were you on clomid? Or injectables? Those are super impressive follicles, lady!
@rmartin_ttc good luck on IUI#5! Day 6 is almost half way there! I always keep track of the TWW by stages.... like day 2, ok, I shouldn't be implanting yet, it's just rolling down the tubes and then as it gets closer and closer, is it implanted? What would it feel like?! It's maddening!
I'm so sorry, @wishing-and-hoping about the probable CP. I had a pretty similar experience back in November. Our first beta hcg was 32. As weird as this sounds, the miscarriage was not as hard for me as our first and second failed IUIs. Don't get me wrong, it was a roller coaster and disappointing... but there was something positive that happened to me mentally once my uterus started showing a hint of a response. Ask me again after a few more failed months, but for now, I'm more hopeful. So maybe this CP is a good sign? Thinking of you.

AFM - Our IUI was this morning (I did ovidrel last night at 7pm so it was 16hr post trigger). I was surprised because it was the nurse who did it, the doctor wasn’t even there. But my husbands post wash count was between 5-10million which is better than his semenalysis 3 weeks ago so that’s hopeful. Go back tomorrow for another IUI. We will do a progesterone level between 3/5-3/8 to verify ovulation and then hcg 14 days post IUI. I’m thinking about testing out the trigger shot because I don’t think I can wait a full 14 days lol.
