Possible TW**final update in comments*

So went in for ultrasound, didn't see much beyond gestational sac and yolk sac. Doctor didn't seem concerned at all which I found strange. Drew levels today and again on Monday.....so unfortunately I'm not too optimistic. Waiting 2 weeks is no fun, but I guess if the levels don't rise then we will know.

  • @bmxerbaby How far along do you think you are? Were you tracking ovulation? FX it's just too early.

  • I thought I was 8+5 based off of last cycle....but with the loss in October, things were off. Doubt I would be that far off....should have seen more on the ultrasound. I even told the doctor that it was over and she said that with a yolk sac, she wasn't concerned. Time will tell.
  • I thought I was 6 weeks when I had my first ultrasound and when I got there it was just a gestational and yolk sak measuring 4 weeks 3 days. My doctor was not concerned at all. I go back Monday for a repeat ultrasound. Since your cycles have been off I wouldn't worry until the doctor told me it was time to worry.  Seeing a yolk sak is a good thing!!  Hopefully your levels will come back good and ease your worry also.
  • Thank you guys, I will try and stay positive.
  • Hope everything turns out okay!
  • Hoping dates were all off and you'll get good news moving forward!

  • @bmxerbaby If you weren't tracking ovulation you could be off by quite a bit (even 2-3 weeks). When did you get your BFP and how dark was it? Is the doctor checking your HCG and progesterone levels?

  • FX for you...please keep us updated.
  • @starla...I found out in January, super positive! They drew levels today and again Monday. Only HCG, not progesterone.
  • @bmxerbaby Do you remember the date roughly? If it was only 2 weeks ago and you got a very faint BFP, you could very well be only 5w.

  • FX for good results! I hope the dates were just off and your LO is perfectly healthy and growing!
  • Hoping that the dates were just off and that everything turns out alright.  Fingers crossed for you.
  • I received a message from my doctor telling me that my levels went up but not as much as she had expected, repeat u/s in 2 weeks. She didn't give numbers, and I think 2 weeks is too long to wait! I know there is no intervention possible, but peace of mind would be nice, regardless of the outcome.

@bmxerbaby I’m sorry things aren’t looking great with numbers but glad they are increasing! Hopefully your next scan will show expected growth and good news. Two weeks does seem like a long time to have to wait for more information. Sending hugs
  • @bmxerbaby I'm so sorry it wasn't the news you were hoping for. Would you want to ask if they could possibly see you sooner? One week versus two? I just imagine that wait would be so tough :( but you are tough too and I know you could deal if you had to. I'll be thinking of you.
  • @bmxerbaby I agree that 2 weeks is an awfully long time to have to wait. I'm sorry you have to deal with this ambiguity and hope that they can get you in sooner.

  • Sorry to hear. Glad you spoke out and your Dr is going to accomodate. Fx for happy news!
  • I think we have pretty similar situations. I go back Thursday for another scan and like you just want peace of mind regardless of the outcome. Great job advocating for yourself and your baby. Fx for a great outcome!
  • @bmxerbaby Hopefully the doctor will give you the answers you need. The waiting part is very difficult. Keep us updated, we are routing for you and bean!
  • Hope your doc can turn your lab results today @bmxerbaby. Thinking of you if we don't hear from you before your US tomorrow.

No word on my labs from this morning, which I can interpret both ways....either fine, and we will review the u/s in the morning, or bad and she'll review in person in the morning. Hoping for some positive news.

  • My faith is surly being tested lately :( My numbers went down. From 20k to 19.8k. She didn't even bother with an u/s. Now I have to decide if I let my body do it on its own, or we schedule a D/C. Not quite sure yet, still processing. With that being said, we will not be trying again. Two amazing healthy sons are my blessing and one day I will have some beautiful grand babies to spoil. I wish you all the absolute best in your pregnancy journey! I'll peek in from time to time to lurk. Take care S18 ladies.
  • @bmxerbaby I'm so sorry. I can't believe they're wouldn't "bother" doing an ultrasound. :(
