@lindsayleigh1989 that totally sucks I’m sorry! Could it be teething, growth spurt, any new activities or changes to bedtime routine? Hope you can catch a break soon!
working today everyone else I know has it off and I get stuck with this co worker who wont stop sneezing and coughing. we have "skeleton holidays" which means you have to work half the holidays and get the other half off- today is my turn but what pisses me off even more is my boss gets every single one off- yet shes been off for the past 6 weeks.
oh and my other co worker has his phone on SUPER loud while he is on hold with some horrific holding music.
I thought irritability was supposed to go away in the second tri hahaha #13weeks
Friday night DD took like 4 hours to fall asleep and then woke up when my dog started barking and then wouldn’t settle back down. I wasn’t exhausted and we had an early morning planned so I just left her in her room and huffed back to bed. My H went and got her and laid down on the couch with her where she continued to not sleep till 5:45 when I was tired of her being allowed to not be in bed. She finally fell asleep for a while but then woke up when my DS did around 7.
Fast forward to saturday night and we were staying in a hotel and obviously trying to sleep all together which never happens at our house and she wouldn’t settle down again! We fought with her to sleep for like 5 hours and then I took her out to the car in freezing weather and she fell right asleep. I tried to get her back inside the hotel and managed to lose her coat. Luckily after that though we were able to get some sleep and she slept for 12 hours last night. Thank goodness.
Working today even though we usually have this day off. Stupid employer wanted us to be open today.
New coworker is diving me batty today. Complaining about everything and just overall negative. Its irritating.
Dh is being very lazy today because neither of us could get comfortabke last night and didnt sleep well. The kids are home with him today and he will most likely nap on the couch while they are playing. Im just jealous that he gets to nap and I dont lol.

@wildtot I was in laundry folding hell yesterday. My thoughts are with you.
The AC is broken in our office building today. This might not sound awful to most of you but we had a warm weekend so it's currently 80 degrees in here and very stuffy. We have a particularly annoying receptionist and she's flitting around saying "oh it feels so nice in here the warmth makes me want to curl up with a good book." Wut!?! I'm about to peace out.
Hubs and I were rudely woken up at 3:30 this morning by miscreants teenagers egging our house. We got up and rinsed it off the house so it wouldn't ruin paint, etc. And then neither of us could fall back to sleep. After all that fun one dog insisted she sleep with us and the other insisted he patrol the house for the rest of the night. So I'm tired and annoyed. Not how I wanted to start off my week.
Wanna know what a dumb thing to do is? Wake up a pregnant woman, her husband, and their very responsive/protective/loud dogs, who also have security cameras. Recognized the car the ne'er-do-well ring leader drove, but not the kids so we posted the footage to our neighborhood facebook group. Guess who is coming over to my house to wash windows, pull weeds and whatever other annoying chores I can think up for the next three weekends?
@busymommy23 Today I'm jealous of anyone that gets to take a nap! I so wanted to call in sick and take today off, but I'm hoarding all my sick/PTO time for mat leave. Luckily I work from my home office, so at least it will be quiet. Sorry about the annoying co-worker, that can be a real drain!
@lindsayleigh1989 and @hillbillywife I am sorry about your lack of sleep lately! There is nothing more frustrating that not being able to sleep when you REALLY want to.
@noideawhatshesdoing what a bunch of little punks! Glad you caught them though, and start thinking of things you have wanted to do around the house but haven't had time. I feel like you have the perfect opportunity to knock things off your to-do list!

@noideawhatshesdoing I bet the look on that kid's face when he got caught was priceless.
A year or so ago I opened the door and found a note with some vulgar phrasing, but it really didn't make much sense, just a string of curse words and a threat to "f*** my p****."
I went and checked my security cameras and saw it was two boys, who looked about 9 or 10 years old who dumped the note at my door and ran. I recognized one of the kids from across the street and his parents are super nice.
I walked over, note in hand, and confronted them NICELY and said what I saw on my camera, told them there was a boy I didn't recognize, but they knew who it was. The kid was at the house when I came to the door and the mom kept shooting him the meanest look. Hopefully he learned his lesson and the other boy as well. We haven't had any incidents since then at least.
@cseley321 I wish I could have seen his face when he got busted. We rarely have issues up here in our neighborhood, there is a sheriff that lives three doors down. It is a safe neighborhood, but we have a really square/modern style house that has blind spots we can't see from windows, so my in-laws gave us a security system for Christmas after we told them we were expecting. Our area has grown like crazy over the last year because everyone seems to need to move to Portland, that we have a few new unfamiliar faces around here and we didn't know who these kids were. I get that kids will be kids and sometimes do stupid things, but just don't wake me up doing it. Not really how I wanted to get to know the newer neighbors, but at least they didn't break a window!
Wow, I would not have liked getting a note like that at all, but especially from a young kid! Yikes!
@amylu914 I am so jealous- its 9 degrees here and the building manager is off so the heat is on auto which is legit like 50 degrees. so cold!
hillbillywife- she had a surgery (which I am totally sympathetic towards) but has been taking MAJOR advantage- even before she left for the surgery- always calling out, "working from home" which none of us are allowed to do etc.
@babygagnon2018 I'm working too! it's super quiet here today though so I'm catching up on training and emails.
my monday isn't too bad so far - give it an hour or two - my MIL is annoying me a bit but I tend to want to strangle her when I'm pregnant...it's like all my hormones target her. Also general frustration with people being stupid at work - just do your dang job and stop making mine harder.
@amylu914 There is a guy in my office who turns the heater AND a/c on in the morning. He turns the heat up to 75...by the time i walk into the office, it is a sauna up here. So I turn it down. If you're cold, grab a damn jacket and blanket, you are not the only one who works in this office. Plus, prego over here gets hot SUPER easy. Don't overheat the hormonal pregnant lady! They already know I will say what's on my mind and not spare how it will sound.
@zombiehoohaa seriously I'm about to write do not overheat the pregnant lady on my white board. Everyone who works near windows are taking their laptops and moving to the center of our office, which means more bodies and more disgustingness near me. Just send us home already!
ALL THE THINGS!! I’m filled with hormone rage today and I’m trying so hard to rid myself of it. We’re doing a reveal for the kids tonight (they don’t know what we’re having yet) and I know my sour mood could really spoil it. What do you ladies do to get you out of funks?
@amylu914 Girl, do it! I'm about to print up an angry pregnant lady meme and put it right next to the control unit (which is in my cubicle).
Not so much a bitch, however, its a bitch...I'm crying as I'm reading about how my stay is expected to be when giving birth and what I need to know. Sweet baby jeesus, this is overwhelming information! I have fear, excitement, nervousness, and the unknown all balled up into one big ass emotion. Please tell me this will get more exciting and less scary as we go?
@zombiehoohaa your stay in the hospital? It’s not scary! Labor is the hardest part of the stay but the shortest portion of your stay (hopefully anyways) so most of it you’ll have your cute squishy newborn to snuggle and the nurses that work in L&D are always the best and so helpful and nice. And at least at my hospital the food is awesome and tastes so good after laboring!
Its hard to be calm about the unexpected but when the time comes you’ll be more excited than nervous!!
@zombiehoohaa i enjoyed my hospital stay! For c sections most insurance pay up to 4 days but i left with 3. I really enjoyed the support from the nurses. They help by being my enforcers with my visitors (i asked). Idk yet if I’ll do the longer stay this time to give myself more time to rest and heal before going home to DS full time. I know I’ll miss him so much though.
Wow, you ladies had some interesting adventures with crazy kids doing really annoying/inappropriate things, glad they got busted! Sorry to hear about those who are at work, I randomly found out I was going to be off today only yesterday, so that's weird (yay small companies' disorganization!)
I didn't have anything to bitch about but of course, DH had to start driving me nuts. I want him to enjoy his day off but of course he did nothing until 1pm and once I got home from lunch and started saying all the things I want to do and all the things we need to get done he rolls his eyes and says "I don't like doing work on the weekends". WELCOME TO THE CLUB!
I personally like to enjoy long weekends too but I also like to block off 3-4 hours to get the house in order and do projects, without feeling like I'm overwhelmed. It's a bit of work, yes, but I feel so much better afterwards.
For him, unless he sits on the couch or does whatever he wants the whole freaking weekend then he is "doing work" . I swear he is the best partner and he is normally so helpful but these times when he acts like a brag I just want to kick him in the shins.
@hillbillywife@wildtot thank you, ladies! It's all the information thrown at us and the explanation of everything that happens. I guess when reading it, it just became real. I don't know if that even makes sense. lol I know it's still early, I'm only 13 weeks. Kaiser tells you to read booklets before doing classes or tours, so I'm sitting here reading them and am on overload.
@kissableviv My H is the complete opposite. Unless he found something productive to do during the day or managed to do some project he has “wasted his day” and feels “worthless.” I just roll my eyes at him because most times when he’s being “worthless” he spent the day with his family lol. He rarely spends time with us because he works all the time.
And also, he’s a great guy. He loves us so much and takes such good care of us, but his whining gets to me sometimes lol
totally understandable! As we keep getting further along there are lots of things that you’ll be like “I HAVE A HUMAN IN ME” or “I’M TOTALLY GONNA BE A MOM” but after the freak out you’re like “omg!! Im gonna be a mommmm!!!” And it’s awesome again!
@zombiehoohaa totally get it! I’m delivering at a different hospital so I’ll be hopefully visiting them soon. One tip is ask and schedule a tour soon. I learned they are limited and fill up quick. I didn’t do any formal tour with DS because i was already visiting L&D more than i wanted. I didn’t do any classes either since i was doing a c section.
@hillbillywife I had that "omg!!! I'm going to be a mommmmmmm!!!!" yesterday when we were at my friend's house. I've know him since we were in elementary school and his mom is like a 2nd mom to me. So we asked her to be another grandma to the baby. All 3 of us (my friend, myself, and his mom) all had an "OMG!!!" moment together. It felts sooooo good! Then there is all this educational information the hospital gives you and you're like, "WTF!?!?! I'm actually having a BABY!!?!?!?" surreal...
@wildtot I scheduled 2 tours for next month since they have 2 locations and we are not sure where we will be living when baby arrives. Kaiser has this weird policy where you have to attend a class or 2 in order to get more information. So I also signed up for Baby Basics and Having a Healthy Pregnancy (even though I think this one will be waste of my time) just so I have the extra info. Maybe I want to scare myself more.
@zombiehoohaa my hospital experiance was great and seriously take EVERYTHING from the room when you leave you have already been charged for it When we come closer to third tri I can share what i found must haves for hospital bag and what i would skip packing
@hillbillywife I'm your DH, lol! Again, I want to relax and hang out but those few hours of projects give me peace of mind.
@zombiehoohaa I'm also about to read some of that stuff! But I was told that Hoag won't be doing tours until the end of March because of the flu season, that's what the RN that conduced my last visit at the OB office said. I plan on a baby basics/newborn care class for sure because both DH and I are so clueless!
@lindsayleigh1989 I was doing some looking around in our "product spotlight" spreadsheet and that is totally on the list down the line! I'll be interested to see what people find necessary, it differs so much from person to person.
@noideawhatshesdoing that is great the parents are sending him over! I hope he looks incredibly sheepish and isn't a massive ass when he's there!
No bitchfest today for me, except I am tired for no reason.
@kissableviv haha! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to get the projects done or worked on especially when there’s time to do it! My H needs to learn that relaxing is okay too!

@lindsayleigh1989 I haven’t posted my bitch yet but it’s about kid sleep too. Sending some sleepy dust your way!
@acunamatada my kid does that too! Or she’ll try to shoo the dog away with the hand with the food in it. Like no wonder he ate your food?!
@babygagnon2018 that sucks. Especially about your boss. Why has she been off for 6 weeks?! That’s a long time!
