I feel like I need to throw my true love into the ring which is the glue on version of @galactickates nails. I find the press ons don’t last more than a day on me (nor do salon nails as they immediately start lifting) but my glue ons last about a week per set. I make sure to push down my cuticles and clean my nails with polish remover first to remove any oils and then stick em on. I’ve been doing them for 15 years and have converted so many people!! My two current favourite brands are in the picture in the spoiler but I will only use the Kiss brand glue (one tube is enough for 3-4 sets so I always just keep them from that brand for the other one)
@galactickates I totally agree! The downside of this virtual community is that I'll never get to meet any of you IRL! So wish we could all get together in person. @meladams10 I hope you had a wonderful weekend as well! @elothair Oooh! Those look really neat too. I saw the Kiss brand ones at the store today too and I thought the designs were really pretty. Good to know that the glue on ones also work!
@galactickates You want to be my friend so I’ll take you to the Fortress Of ImPress Nails
@offtoneverland That can be a downside to a virtual community. Possible TW-BMBs mentioned
Many women find IRL friends through TB. It seems several BMBs end up gravitating to FB groups farther along in the pregnancy/postpartum. I’ve met many of my sister's TB friends IRL (ha-I can’t make us stuff up). She has vacationed with several of them multiple times.
Meeting/schmoozing over to more personal details of your life (or: real names, etc) isn’t for everyone. It can happen, though!
@jrm_14 Bahahahaha!! Those GIFs are amazing. it definitely takes some getting used to but is super easy once you get the hang of it. I definitely glued my fingers together multiple times when I first started using them though!
@jrm_14 you were totes that kid sitting in the corner earing paste weren't you?
I used to smear elmers glue on my hand and let it dry and then peel it off. #proudtobeaweirdo

Omg I'm going to strangle DH... I made a couple stupid videos before I met him, so this is years ago. I was trying to make a vlog but I never figured out how to upload videos from my phone. I totally thought I would get followers, and it would be great. I'd get some of that youtube money. I made a whopping 2 stupid videos. He thinks they are the funniest things ever. Well tonight, I was just closing my eyes for a bit and all of a sudden I hear my own voice booming from the other room. He's sitting there replaying them over and over trying to annoy me. He plays them once a year to remind me how goofy I was. Then he'll reenact them in his "girl" voice. And of course he won't delete them... I'm just happy they never saw a second of the internet.
But on a sweeter note, he was going through old photos and he said the way they got shuffled it would show what we were both doing before we met at the same time and it was cool to see. Single Kates floating the river while single DH was at a museum. Neither one of us knew the other was out there, and we'd end up getting married.
Eta this totally reads like a dear diary entry. Sorry guys. On a totally random side note, does anyone have an air fryer? How do you like it?
If anyone is interested in a psycho vaccine thread, there’s one on the 2nd Tri board. Apparently in addition to not vaccinating, she’d treat a potential cancer diagnosis by eating turmeric.

@galactickates I would just like to thank you for recommending that thread. I used to hate when people ganged up on posters like that, but now I am slightly more bitter so I am enjoying watching the drama at the moment.
I was originally in July 18 moms and we had a post that was destroyed by some TTGP members and I was so annoyed, but now I kind of agree with what they were saying. Does that mean I am officially one of you?! Lol
@jrm_14 TW Im in a FB group for the N15 Mamas. They’re an awesome bunch of ladies, although I’ve not met them. However, it’s a run off our the original Facebook group because there were some ladies in the first group who said they didn’t like that some moms did too mang AW posts. So they created a 2nd group. Ironically the first group is dead now.
@meggyme TW some of the Moms On N15 vaccinated their first, HAD NO ISSUES, but have chooses to vaccinate any subsequent babies because they, “know more now”.
H is working late tonight so here's a photo of tonights dinner... Unless I get the will power to cook later
