@kindbytealikat seconding that. My SIL bitched all through her first trimester while I was TTC. It hurt so bad to hear her complain when all I wanted was to be KU.

I mean, even if the person isn’t struggling with TTC, excessive complaining is annoying in general. If someone asks you how you feel, let it all out! If not, that’s what TB is for!
Okay I am belatedly WTFing all my coworkers who are coming in to the office with obvious flu symptoms. Stay the eff home! I am locking myself in my office and avoiding everyone.

That is NOT OKAY. I would actually tell them to get the fuck out.
We had some interviews taking place in our conference room today and one of the ladies who was interviewing came in hacking her head off, with her own personal box of tissues. I work for the county so we have our conference room available for other departments for things like that but if she worked here, I would have told her to leave. People are SO RUDE.
Wtfing my coworker too. We are middle School art teachers. She decided to run the kiln the day before an impending storm and then pulled out some of the insulation plugs when the kiln finished firing to "cool it down faster". That mo fo was 1600 degrees.
I thought this was a forum to get support not for us to play devil's advocate with each other. I'm fairly aware and sensitive to the feelings of others as I am a clinical social worker. I also preface with "I'm grateful to be pregnant and I'm not trying to be ungrateful." I was just having a hard day and not feeling supported and wanted to vent on this forum since we're all pregnant.
@erinjasonwilson this is a forum where people are honest and up front with each other. I'm not going to coddle you and say that your coworkers were being dicks when, from how you told the story, you weren't exactly being sensitive to them, whether because someone could potentially be facing fertility issues or because they just don't want to talk about your symptoms.
I could talk about my symptoms all the time. I could also talk about history or NBC comedies or movie musicals all the time. It doesn't mean I'm entitled to have someone listen to me (except my husband- he knows what he signed up for). Your coworkers don't have to listen to you, and are well within their rights to not want to engage with you if they think it's going to be another rant about being pregnant.

QFP
ETA: Have you offered much support to the other ladies here?
@Firemanswife11 I’ve been that interview candidate! It was such a hard decision to make. You don’t want to go in sick and make them sick, but what is the likelihood of you rescheduling because of a cold or the flu? If you are really interested in that position or really need it, you go in. I didn’t shake hands and also wiped down with hand sanitizer every time I touched my nose but I got the job! Lol

Complain about your symptoms: We got you.
Complain about your coworkers not wanting to hear about your symptoms: We got your reality check.

Two different scenarios, there.
