Hi! I’m a STM and I’ve been lurking this board since it started* but was too superstitious to intro until now. Currently 10+1, due 9/4. I’ve had a few good ultrasounds and I feel more confident now. I have a 23mo old. I have PCOS. I lurked a lot on the TTGP board but only occasionally checked into the TFAS thread. First pregnancy was relatively uneventful so I’m hoping for the same for round 2!

Hi all! I'm Mel from Florida. I'll be a FTM. We were worried it would be difficult for me to get pregnant due to endometriosis, age, and family members having trouble getting pregnant. Nope! We tried for 3 months and here we are (due Sept 30). Totally shocked and it's sooner than we were ready for, but we are excited anyway! I am experiencing major fatigue and constant nausea, so I am glad to have found this board for support!
Hi Ladies! I’ve been creeping around on this board for 4 weeks now and finally feel ready to introduce myself. I’m 32 years old and a FTM. I’ve been with my boyfriend for two years. We are currently live in SoCal, but will be moving back home to Toronto this summer. We spend 7 months in USA for his job and 5 months in Canada.
This pregnancy was a complete surprise for us! I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t super pumped at first. I kept thinking about all of the things I wanted to do before having kids and kept thinking about how badly we still wanted to be a selfish young couple, travelling and enjoying our time alone with our pup. I’ve since come around and am very excited! My partner is so excited and supportive as well. We know we’re spending forever together anyway, just doing things a little out of the originally planned order!
My EDD based on last period is Sept 21. But, we have our first actual prenatal appointment on Feb 12 and I’m certain this due date will be later. I went for an ultrasound at 5 weeks to check on my right ovary. I have a series of smaller cysts on it and one larger one. At this time, they checked the pregnancy as well, there was a sac present, but no yolk or fetal pole. Because of this, the ultrasound tech said it looked like I was actually only 2-3 weeks along (impossible because I was out of town for three weeks). Anyway, PRAYING that My OB sees something on Monday!! I’ve been worrying a bit because I actually don’t feel pregnant this week - breast tenderness fading, nausea and headaches gone, feel slightly tired - but I’ve been waking up a lot during the night.
Eeep! So excited and scared all at the same time! Can’t wait to tell my family after our prenatal visit Monday (providing U/Sngoes well). Really looking forward to relying on this group of women, because I dont have any family in the same city as me!! ❤️
I am a little late to the party this time around. We literally just finished moving — what an experience during the first trimester of a pregnancy! Then my DD got the flu — anyway, we are a hot mess over here.
I’m Cara. My husband and I have been married for five years and we are located just north of Atlanta. We have a daughter who just turned two on Christmas Eve — a day after we got our BFP for this little one. My due date is set at 9/3 but I will be having a scheduled c-section which may actually land us at the end of August. We shall see!
I’m looking forward to chatting with you ladies over the next several months! Yay!
Hi moms. Congrats on your new additions. My DD is 9/24. Our current family of 4 lives on the east coast. Since this was completely unplanned, we haven't told anyone, and I'm waiting for the shock to wear off. I think DH is too.
I am a little late on this one, mostly because I have been living in absolute fear that something was going to happen to this baby. I am a second time mama who has a beautiful 14 month old daughter. This little baby has been a complete surprise considering our first was conceived via IUI and I was told I would have a 2% chance of ever conceiving on my own. Knowing the odds were against us from the beginning I have spent a lot of time praying and just begging that this little baby will continue to grow. Our due date is 9/9 and know that the shock has worn off we are getting to a place of excitement.
Hi Ladies I have been lurking for a few weeks. I am a FTM with a DD of 9/21. TW: I had a miscarriage a year ago that was not a great experience. END TW
Getting pregnant caught us by surprise, in a good way. We were in the process of setting up appointments to begin the process of an IUI per our doctor's advice and I ended up pregnant without the procedure. I had my first appointment this morning and heard the heartbeat which was an amazing sound. We are cautiously ecstatic and crossing our fingers.
We currently live in West Des Moines, IA and I am a high school teacher.
I'm a STM from FL. My daughter will be 2 next Wednesday! My husband and I tried to get pregnant for over a year and we finally got our BFP on Jan 7th after severeal (failed) rounds and clomid and one round of letrozol. I had an emergency c with my daughter and am trying for a VBAC this time around. I love my Feb16 mom group and look forward to bumpin' with you all all!
Hey everyone! I'm a first time mom, due Sept 26th. I'm from SE PA, so dealing with some nasty winter weather still. Since week 5, this has been pretty rough on me. I'm nauseous almost all the time, and yes I'm on the anti-nausea pills, using the sea bands and desperate for any advice. This pregnancy came a bit sooner than expected, but it's all gravy. This has been a crazy year so far. We bought our first house in June, got engaged at Christmas time, found out I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago and are having a back yard wedding in June (that still needs to be planned). We secretly already got married on 1/27, but want to have the ceremony with our families (hubby's are on the other side of the state). A few other things have happened in over the past few months, but I'll save that for another time.
Hey Hey! My EDD is Oct 1 but I had my DD a week early and who knows when this one is really coming out. I have a DD that is 3 and DH and I have been married for 5 years this June. He's doing back flips about #2 and I'm just trying not to puke!
knottieb407a1416067efda Awe. Hang in there. The nausea is totally the worst. Are you taking anything for it? I took Diclegis my ENTIRE first pregnancy and am on it again this time as well. It really helps me. I’m trying to stay optimistic that the nausea will go away with the first trimester this time but I’m a major pessimist. Lol
Hi, everyone! I’m due sept 30, and I’m a 40 year old FTM. It came as a bit of a surprise but my husband and I are both super excited. I’m trying to not be too anxious or stressed and just enjoy the process. Glad to be part of the group!
Hello! Im a 34 y/o FTM from Ontario, Canada. DH and I will be married 7 years this September with the hopes we will be welcoming our first bump a week before. I am currently 10 weeks 6 days with an EDD of September 2nd. We’re very excited, equally nervous, and anxious for our first US to confirm everything is going well. 2nweeks to go for the NT ultrasound... and hoping we get the green light to share the news with our families! I’m a great secret keeper... but this one is testing me!

I have also been lurking for the past week trying to figure out what to say & how to introduce myself. I live in OH, been married for a year in March but have been with my husband for 5 years this year. I graduate college in May & work at a plant nursery. FTM & EDD is Sept 4th. I am currently 10w & 5d. Found out I was pregnant on New Years Eve before we were planning on going to a party. I just had this feeling...and well I was right. I have my first appointment this Friday & can't wait to see my little nugget. Thankfully I dont feel nauseous but have been eating everything in my path. Naps are my favorite thing to do right now too.
Hey y'all! I am 32 yo and expecting my 2nd. I have a 7 year old and she is super excited to be a big sister. I am an RN in SC. According to my LMP I am 8 weeks today which puts my EDD at 9/23. My first appointment is next Wednesday so will find out for sure then No big issues so far besides exhaustion and a little nausea off and on....hope this pregnancy goes smoothly like my last. Congrats to all!
Hi! STM with a son who is 2.5. EDD of 9/27. Ive had 1 appt and I go back again at 11 weeks. The exhaustion has really hit the last two days!! I’m excited to get to know everyone!!
@michjeepwife @Patience7150 Jeep wave!!! We have a 95 YJ and a Golden Eagle CO. I always forget when I'm driving the truck and I want to wave at repeaters and then Im like oh yeah, right. They can't see in my driveway right now! Lol. We also did a van trip out was with the doggies and a 6×10 enclosed trailer... good times in the dodge 2500 conversion van! :D
@sclarke7, the race is a14-mile race. Essentially, you have to do the first four miles fast enough to qualify to do the last 10 miles. It's called the double down because I'd be doing 2 races, the 4- mile race and the 10- mile. I'm thinking about dropping down to just doing the 10 mile though. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it. Thank you for the book suggestion! I might have to check that out.
Hello, I'm a FTM (peanut due 9/8) and excited to join this community. Although I'm a bit older than the average FTM (33 years old), I feel pretty ignorant about the whole process. I'm happy to read and learn that there are other new moms like me. Outside of being pregnant, I am adjusting to my new job as a trial Attorney for the federal government in Washington, D.C. My husband and I are also big movie nerds. We're currently trying to see all of the nominated films. Perfect activity for the fun of the first trimester and morning sickness.
@gidget84 I was 36 when I had my first and I'm 39 now with my second. You are practically a spring chicken! You have lots of time to learn about all the things and there's plenty of us here to help, so no worries! Dive in and ask away! The weekly questions and symptoms thread are super helpful. Welcome to the board
Hi my name is caitlin and im a first time mom. I have so many questions and would like to make some friends to kinda help give advice. Ive been really scared of everything like weather im eating right, doing the right things, what i can and cant do, etc. Im so very new to this and a bit scared so i would like to get to know what others can help with that i dont know .
I'm just finding that these boards exist which is exciting! I'm a FTM with a due date of 9/19. This is my second pregnancy as the last ended in miscarriage in Sept 2017. I'm feeling equally nervous and optimistic this time around, especially after getting an ultrasound and learning I measured 3 days ahead than my original EDD.
My husband and I have been married about 3 1/2 years and have 2 pugs. It will be wonderful expanding the family by 2 feet this time...
Looking forward to getting to know all the September moms!
@michjeepwife it was actually a cross country move from NJ to Vegas, so we stopped everywhere along the way! Loved Wyoming and Utah best. We did a lot of driving back and forth the southern route, too, and now we are back to living on the east coast again, lol. It's been an adventure...
@gidget84 Welcome! I'm also a 33-year-old FTM living in the DC area (Silver Spring) who is a big everything (including movie) nerd and a litigator -- I wonder which one of us is the evil twin. Nice to meet you.
