    Questions for the group:
anyone take fish oil?  what brand do you use?

    GTKY: New Year Resolution ??
I don't make resolutions but I'm feeling pretty happy about life right now.  I'm looking forward to this being the last year we TTC.  I'm going to stick with lots of yoga.  DH mentioned himself going back to the gym which I think is great.  I started the year off practicing yoga at home today.

What are you thankful for this week?
the little puppy we have.  she's so cute - I'll have to post a photo of her today cuddled up to the fireplace.  We need to get her spayed this month  -  what age do female dogs usually start their period?  She's almost 8 months.

  • @vlagrl29 awww she's cute. Usually anywhere from 6months to a year they can go into heat so better get her done soon. I'll send a pic of 2 of my guys this morning.
  • Keeping warm since it feels like single digits outside they didn't want to get out of bed this morning.
  • They are too cute!! @Labluver2 dogs aren't dumb.

  • So I finally think I’m feeling much better from the ER. Rested all weekend, yesterday and had today scheduled off way before I knew when my procedure was. But I’m literally dreading work tomorrow

Tomorrow is our last day of Xmas break. Our other parakeet must have hurt his foot and he hasn't been feeling good all night. Makes me sad. I may be looking for a bird vet to take him to tomorrow.

    glad you're feeling better @ndz2018
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @ndz2018 holy everything! 21 fertilized is awesome! I go away for a couple weeks and there’s so much that has happened! Glad you’re recovering well! The most they’ve gotten from me ever was 11 with 7 fertilized, so I can’t imagine the recovery if if I’d have had more than double that, geez!!!
  • @Labluver2 I love your resolution. Have to say mine is the same.
  • Happy New Year!!

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment)
: got my IVF calendar- finally starting round 5! This is the last try to get an embryo to implant, all we need is ONE!!! I just have to believe that one of these times there will be an egg of good quality. Maybe 5th try is the charm eh?

    CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD7

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Trying a different protocol- microdose lupron. Double the shots but hoping this might get us a good egg.

    Rants/Raves
: The -30s wind chill factor, please go away!!!

Questions for the group: none right now

GTKY: New Year Resolution ?? Same as Labluver2. Be healthy and hopefully this miracle will happen.

What are you thankful for this week? Thankful for the insurance coverage to give this IVF one last try. And for DH being willing to put up with double rent payments since he moved in September. Looking forward to getting caught back up financially after February when we move to be with him.

  • Hi ladies :) my plan was to see my RE this month so we could make some decisions but

I got a + hpt last night. So I called to go in for a beta today. As you all know, I need much much more than just a + hpt after the year I had in 2017. First hurdle is making sure it’s not another ectopic ....the thought of losing my other tube terrifies me.

  • OMG @harleyquinn0621 - were you TTC naturally I guess?  Positive thoughts for you and that it's not etopic!

@Momifbysea - glad you are back!  I like your resolution as well.  I'm praying that we don't have to do much medicated cycles cause I'm really ready to put an end to this TTC journey.  Our consultation with RE is next week Tues.  This is our last natural cycle and then I'm ok trying Femara if that's what the doctor thinks is the right path.

  • My naturopath wants to retest my TSH and T3, vit D, wbc and a couple new ones.  I want to call our new ins company to make sure it's covered before I get my blood taken.  She wants to further investigate why my wbc is a little low.  I feel fine.  I can't really afford to go to her and the RE so I'll get this last test done, see results and see what she says then I'll probably just stick with the RE for the remaining part.

  • @vlagrl29 it was a natural cycle...but we weren’t really trying - my dr said she didn’t want me to get pregnant for 6-8 weeks.....but I wasn’t worried because I’ve always had such a hard time ....I think we may have barely passed the 6 week mark but I’m not sure ....waiting for my REs office to call me with the blood results

  • Hi everyone, I'm new here. I am 35 (will be 36 in August) and I'm getting my IUD out in a couple of weeks.  My last pregnancy was very hard on me (hyper emesis and I ended up having brain surgery two days after my c-section). So I'm very nervous to go through this all again.  Plus, I have a lot of messed up hormones and such from my brain tumor, so I'm not sure how easy getting pregnant will be.  Anyway, I hope I can hang out with you all here.

  • Welcome @abnelsen22 sounds like a rough pg. I didn't have the sickness you did but with DD I puked 1-2 times a day for 8 months. Gained a ton of water weight too. I hope your time here is short. I worried too about a future pg and if would be as difficult but we can't control whatever comes so at least pg is just a temporary thing.

ladies I just got 2 new students in the last week. This is the most I've had in awhile! I want more gigs now! I'm not looking to add a 3rd night to my load but can always take more during the day when DD is at school.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Welcome @abnelsen22 and I hope your time here is short. I also hope your next pg is a lot easier, that’s a lot to have gone through!

@vlagrl29 yay for the new students, I think it’s so cool your music is your career! My clarinet became a hobby after I got my music degree and it sits gathering dust boo!

@harleyquinn0621 I hope those numbers continue in the right direction for you!
  • @harleyquinn0621 fingers crossed for you. @Momifbysea good luck with your ivf. I wish I had coverage I may have given it at least a shot. On some of my pregnancy boards there have been lots of woman in thier mid to upper 40s getting natural positives after failed IUI and ivf cycles.

@momifbysea - I actually think I just got 2 more that will start in a week on Monday mornings.  I don't want to add any more nights because it gets busy now that DD is school age in first grade.  A dad and his 4 year old boy want to start learning violin together.  4 is such a young age and harder for me to teach but I've done it.  I think I may be at my max now.  I think that would make 14 students?  whew!  Its good money though.

@labluver2 - I think its encouraging when you hear about people getting pregnant after failed medicated cycles.  There still is hope.  That's kind of why I don't want to go the medicated route too long.  Just enough to know I tried.

I don't think I mentioned yesterday morning our 8 yo parakeet passed away :(  so sad.  I've never had 2 parakeets pass away so close together and I've never had a house without happy birds chirping.  So there I am crying to DH because this bird has been with us for our entire marriage and DD isn't even phased by it and asks if we can get another bird.  This kid I wonder about lol - she didn't cry or get upset when the last bird died either.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @Labluver2 really?!? I want to hear more! You said mid to upper? Made my day!
  • @vlagrl29 so sorry about your birdie. Your daughter must be a tough cookie bc I was always mess when one of my hamspter died when I was young.

@Momifbysea yeah the one was 45 she did 12 failed IUIs and like 3 or 4 failed ivfs she said she was getting prepped for her 5th one and ended up pregnant before they started. I see alot of people drinking pom juice CD 1 til ovulation to improve lining some drink it til around the time you would implant if you were to. I also has someone yesterday have her AMH go from 0.18 to a 1.5 just by changing her diet. I didn't even know that was possible. Does give me hope.

I'm off today with the stomach crud. It's still snowing and we are supposed to get really cold. I'm over it I want summer.
  • I think I said before that one of my students parents had her youngest at 42. No medicine involved. I've also heard amh can be increased by vit D.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @Labluver2 I hope your stomach crud passes quickly! That has got to be the worst! Thanks for the info on the pom juice. I’m hoping my diet change may have helped me out but I cheated during the holidays...hard when coworkers come with cookies!

@vlagrl29 sorry to hear about your bird passing. My DD is the same way I have to say, she has a really healthy outlook on death/heaven all that stuff. Like better than me! Maybe it’s just the age?

@ndz2018 when do you get your next update? Hope you’re ok with all the weather stuff out east! Here we’ve just had windchills of -15 to -35 for a week running. Awful!
  • Hey guys!! Crazy snow storm yesterday we were down the shore(NJ)  and got 18 iniches!!

Got my report and have 12 embryos ready for PGS testing!!  Now the wait... need to keep myself occupied for the next 2 -3 weeks!

@harleyquinn0621 OMG that’s AWESOME! Let us know how the beta goes!!! I’m crossing all my fingers and toes for you!!! Any word yet??

@vlagrl29 I’m sorry about the other birdie but I’ve heard that happen that when one goes the other one goes not too long after the first. Maybe broken heart syndrome.

@Momifbysea I HOPE THIS IS YOUR CYCLE!!!

@abnelsen22 Welcome and I too hope your stay here short and that your future pregnancy is easier than the first.
  • wow that's a LOT of snow @ndz2018 - I love snow but wouldn't want that much.  Glad you have 12 embryos!  That seems like a great amount.  GL finding things to do during the wait.

I have a date at the spa this afternoon for a massage and facial - can't wait!

@ndz2018 thank you :) beta came back that day at 12,071.3 mIU/ml... so definitely positive, in fact they didn't even want me to come back for a second blooddraw. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Monday to confirm this one made it to the uterus properly. emotions are a little weird for me right now because this is the 4th time I've been pregnant in my life but I have no live children. just crossing my fingers every day

@harleyquinn0621- I'm so happy for you and I hope your U/S gives you peace and relief.  It gives me hope you got pregnant with 1 tube without medication.  That's great!  How far along are you that they can see something on Monday?
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @harleyquinn0621 Great Beta numbers!!  Crazy how that happens when you’re not really “trying” and viola you get KU’d! I’m hoping with every ounce of me this is your take home baby!! I also agree with @vlagrl29  since you only have 1 tube your little snowflake has got to be in the right place!! Can’t wait to hear Mondays results.
  • @harleyquinn0621 I am so hoping this one sticks! I can imagine how it may feel at this point, just take it day by day. This gives me hope!
  • Makes me want to not go the medical route lol! She gives us all hope. It only takes 1!

  • @vlagrl29 If I didnt have that gut feeling in Sept/October that told me something was wrong I’m sure we’d still be trying naturally but I’m glad I trusted my instinct and went forward with the RE.
  • thank you everyone :D it really does only take one.. one tube, one egg, one sperm and one night.... we only BD'd twice in december..... must have just happened to be around the time i was ovulating

@vlagrl29 based on my LMP i'll be around 6.5 weeks on Monday..... they should be able to verify it's in the uterus.... they may or may not be able to hear a heartbeat yet... generally what my RE does is a weekly ultrasound until she confirms a heartbeat and then a biweekly ultrasound until 12 weeks - then i get released to a regular OB.... all the extra ultrasounds is one nice thing about seeing a specialist

  • You guy- my brother who never texts just texted me and DH asking if we were available for a call tomorrow morning and that they had good news. They’ve been trying a few months and she’s 11 years younger than me. I’m trying to hold myself together but feel nervous. I’m happy for them, and have been prepping myself for this, but still very emotional.
  • @harleyquinn0621 that's just amazing to me! You only BD twice. proves my point that I don't need opk or bbt or EOD sex.

@ndz2018 - you gotta trust your gut. That's the only reason I haven't seen an RE yet.

@Momifbysea I'm sorry for the stress. At least you know it's coming and can prepare but still sucks!

DH just booked a wedding in August in FL near Disney world. It's a destination wedding so we get to make a vaca of it. We will take DD to Disney world after the wedding. She will die! I've never been
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @vlagrl29 how exciting about Disneyworld! She (and you) will love it! I had a season pass a LONG time ago when I lived in CA and worked less than 5 miles from Disneyland, could go do s ride in a lunch break. Those were the days, lol!

So here I am up at 3am with nausea, probably from these meds. Ugh!!! Or stress. Or both. Just one more day of this one and then I start a new one for next week that doesn’t mess with my stomach. I’m trying really hard to stay optimistic but knowing odds are at best 10 percent per IVF cycle at my age makes it tough. I am grateful for this try, never in a million years did I think I would go through this 5 times, just wow!
  • @Momifbysea UGH I know that feeling when you know someone is going to tell you their pregnant and you just want to crawl into a ball and cry... Which meds are you on that are making you nauseous ? You’re a champ! I don’t know if I could do this 5 time, I mean I have 4 covered under insurance and 1 down, so 3 left but deep down I’m hoping I dont have to go through that again.

@vlagrl29 You know what I have Never been to Disneyworld either! I’ve been the to Disneyland in CA a few times but never to the one in FL. You guys are gonna have a blast!
  • SO! 7 days post ER and just got AF! WTF?!? My SIL said hers came early after her ER too.
@Momifbysea this every happen to you?
I guess the next next step is to put me BCP till my surgery and probably be on it till March.
