Symptoms week of 12/25

Re: Symptoms week of 12/25

  • @pretzellover YASS. That's the only symptom that's remained constant. I have the strangest strangest dreams every night. I've had a lot of sex dreams too, but the doctor said no go to intercourse for about 4 weeks, soooooo I was....deprived :D

@wildtot Feel you :( My face has looked like a 16 year old this entire time. I typically only get acne when Aunt Flow comes and it's just a few 1-3. Now it's like 5-7 constantly.

  • @pretzellover oh yes, almost every night. Involving anything and everything, from politics, to sci fi, to animals. I often dream of whales and dolphins and every time my stories are very vivid. Sadly, no sex ;)
  • @pretzellover@kissableviv @gspmom21 I've always had crazy dreams, and they only get crazier when I'm pregnant.  They're actually my favourite pregnancy symptom.  I'm 13 w 2d, and the nausea is every so slowly abating, as are the dizzy spells, but the exhaustion seems to be getting worse.

  • @pretzellover The dreams are probably my biggest symptom at this point.  Last night, I dreamt it was our wedding, except it was in a totally different place and everything was going wrong.  So many dreams and they're all completely bizarre - often two or three different ones in one night.  It's making it hard to sleep.

Yes to the crazy dreams, still going strong! I’m guessing that’s not helping my exhaustion. I’m also up 3 times a night going pee. I can’t even imagine what it will be like in a few months. I try to lay off the liquid at night before bed but that’s when I seem to be the most thirsty. I too have to have carbonation. Like NEED it. Water sucks so hard right now, but I still make myself get it down. Nausea has let up a lot, but I occasionally feel gross in the evenings. I’m super constipated and feel bloated 24/7. And he headaches are still happening more often than not, but overall I do feel like things are getting better.
  • @christycalifornia That is so awesome!! I would guess it has something to do with knowing what it feels like. But I don’t know that for a fact. Congratulations on feeling your little sweetie! I can’t wait for that!

  • Crazy dreams are my favorite pregnancy symptom! Not too many sex dreams lately, but they're wild!
  • Whew!! So glad to hear so many of you ladies are also having the weird & vivid dreams!
@4deep I’m also having to pee 2-3x a night and keeping 1-2 full glasses of water on  the nightstand bc I’m parched no matter how much I try to choke down during the day.
  • Ever thirsty here, too. Parched. Every night my husband gets a text "bring water when you come to bed" lol. And +1 for carbonation. Thank goodness we have a soda stream. I'm already going through let coix faster than my budget allows, and making fizzy water with a splash of POM juice is clutch.
  • Ms is still happening at night for me. Wakes me up from a dead sleep, too. Saw the doctor yesterday and she said to increase B6 to 3 times daily, which should fight the ms. Pretty irritable and short tempered, especially at work. I have NO energy to deal with anything. Concerned for my mental health as well since going off all medications. I'm not quite there yet, however, I feel myself going down that path. Thankfully, the doctor reassured me everything will work out okay, even if I need to go back onto my meds.

  • @christycalifornia that is so exciting!!! Today I actually Googled "when will I feel my baby " and I remember reading somewhere it can be as early as 13 wks for STMs! I forgot what it said for FTMs, I just remember I have quite a ways to go before I will feel it swimming around.
  • @christycalifornia that’s cool! With DS i started feeling him around 16 wks. I’m looking out for it sooner this time. My doc said things happen sooner the second time around not sure why but maybe because you know what to look for or your body is “broken in”.

Opps, Sorry, I see you asked why, not when. Just found According to "Parents" they say, "This is probably because she already knows what a baby moving inside her feels like and recognizes his weak early kicks and wiggles."

So I guess that means us FTMs may feel it just as early but we just don't know what's going on. Lol

    Edited for spelling.
  • I'm 13.5 weeks. How?!?!

I have found that although my nausea has MOSTLY gone away, I still find myself randomly running to the bathroom to throw up. And I mean RUNNING. It comes on that fast!

Other than that just a lot of RLP and light cramps. And a rapidly appearing bump!

Pimples are coming in full force now :disappointed:
    Same! Ugh. Not fun!
  • I am so anxious to start feeling the babies but apparently with twins they spend so much time kicking each other and insulated by 2 placentas that you feel them later, plus I’m a FTM so I feel like I’m going to be waiting another 2 months or so :(

in additional sad symptom news-when will the nausea end?? Every time I think it’s going away it comes rearing back. I’m feeling so hopeless for it ever going away completely at this point and even though it feels like forever it’s actually only been 8 weeks. I just want to feel normal!

Also my boobs are HUGE and painful. Scared for how big they will be by the end. Sorry for all the symptom ranting but I’m seriously ready for second tri and things to start subsiding (I hope)
  • Still maxed out on diclectin, still nauseated most of the day.  Still exhausted. Looking forward to some relief in 2nd trimester (please please let there be relief soon).  Or at least fun sex dreams.
  • @babybakie I think I felt DD some time after 20 weeks. I was also one of the latest on my last birth board, so it felt like FOREVER to wait. Hang in there! Also, I know feeling it early means I'm going to also be over the sweetness early, and tired of being kicked earlier lol. Oh well!

@zombiehoohaa I'm still getting it, too. Not constantly, but when it hits it's brutal. Also just wanted to send some encouragement about the mental health. Keep a watchful eye on yourself, since you know what that slide feels like. There's no shame in going back on meds if you need to. FX it's just because the symptoms are still high, and you feel more solid once you stop feeling like crap.
  • @christycalifornia Thank you! I'm rooting for you to feel better! This ms really blows!

  • I had a dream last night that someone tried to kill me with a weed whacker, it actually ended up being kind of hilarious because it all it did was leave a little scratch on my neck. That must have been some kind of hormones lol. @pretzellover
  • @pretzellover OMG yes! The weirdest, most vivid dreams. And a few of them sure are sex dreams. An ex boyfriend even snuck into one. YUCK. LOL!
  • I had a dream last night that I was in some sort of walking dead type scenario with Norman reedus and he was laying on my naked chest at some point. But then later I was trying to escape this huge warehouse and he was mad at me for some reason I’m unsure of and I just remember really wanted to get back to the nakedness with him instead of running for my life.
  • @wildtot I’m with you on the pimples. It’s so bad and I never break out like this!

@devilcat139 I know exactly what you mean. I keep saying to DH that’s I just want to feel normal again.

I’m 9w5d and the nausea is relentless. My stomach feels huge and sleeping on my back is already uncomfortable some how (I don’t know how that’s possible). It does seem like all the symptoms I’m having in this third pregnancy are amplified and happening much sooner than before.

Is anyone else else struggling with terrible insomnia? To be fair, I had issues with this prior to getting pregnant but it feels even worse with the first tri exhaustion.

  • Mmm a dream with Channing Tatum - best one so far wish it never ended (it wasn’t a sex dream though)
  • @wildtot I forgot but yes to pimples! Part is because I can’t take my acne medication though

@elizabethrn87 yeah not using acne wash sucks. I thought i escaped it this time because i got it earlier with DS but nope it decided to show it’s nasty self. It’s especially horrible in my hairline and my right cheek.

  • @LadyJ2949 yep, me too. I wake up every night near 3ish, and can't fall back asleep for hours in spite of being really tired. I read a pregnancy article addressing this that said to get up and do mundane tasks like fold laundry. Lol, I've been too tired and lazy to try that.
  • I am 10w3d and having random bouts of nausea. I am not overly tired but definitely prioritize getting lots of sleep. I also am having terrible breakouts. My worst symptom is that I am constantly freezing, like I never feel warm. It is so odd because I remember being hot all the time with my first.
  • I really wanted to do an AW post but I don’t wanna be that guy...

I’m kind of freaking out right now. I had an u/s yesterday and the tech told me I have an anterior placenta which I was pretty bummed about. I just got a phone call from the nurse and she told me I have a “low lying placenta” and put me on pelvic rest- nothing in the vagina and no organisms. She told me that it will hopefully resolve its self and may take a month(?). I’m freaking out.

Has anyone had this? What was your outcome? I’m kind of concerned that the tech didn’t say anything about it yesterday, I know it may not be her place, but she usually answers a question when I ask.

Also, so wanted to add we’ve been “doing it” the whole time with no problems at all. So, this is really catching me off guard and has been one of my biggest fears. I’m sick to my stomach right now.
  • @paytonpedro no experience with this but I am sorry they have you on pelvic rest. I hope it takes less than a month! WiIl they be checking you within that time? I think most techs are not allowed to give too much info (at least in my experience). With my SCH i had to wait for the doc to tell me. The check said everything looked ok.
  • @wildtot I have another u/s on Thursday because little guy wouldn’t cooperate so I’m assuming they’ll check again then. It’s making me so anxious. After that I don’t see the doctor until 1/25. Last pregnancy I didn’t want dh anywhere near me and this time it’s opposite so pelvic rest sucks.
  • @paytonpedro my friend had that and it resolved itself with no complications. As her uterus expended, the placenta moved up with it and farther away from the cervix. I'm sorry for the extra worry and for the ban on orgasms  :/
  • So my biggest symptom has been feeling out of breath and winded. I had a chest cold 8 weeks ago and have had a cough since. Well yesterday I went into ER (after going to my family Dr. 4 times and the told me it’s been a lingering cough and feeling winded is part of pregnancy) and the ER doctor sent me for a VQ and chest XRay. Turns out I have multiple clots in my lungs. I am so happy they caught it now and before it could turn fatal. Ladies if your doctor dismisses any shortness of breath please get checked. So many of my friends told me they were sick or winded since early pregnancy but everyone’s definition of this is different. If you have any concerns get checked your health is far more important. I never realized that pregnancy is a risk factor for blood clots because of higher levels of estrogen so I am aware now and want to share this with yous to help any of you who may be experiencing these symptoms. If any of you ladies experienced this in the past I would love to hear any advice as I am waiting for a specialist to contact me to give me further information.
  • I am in a lot of pain right bow. I have this tugging ache on the left side of my groun but deep. i dont evenknow whaf to do for it :(

  • Oh my goodness @Jessicajorden how scary. I'm glad you were persistent and advocated for yourself. Have you ever been tested for any clotting disorders? I hope you have a treatment plan soon!

@lindsayleigh1989 I'm sorry you are in pain, especially groin pain that's tough. Do you have a heating pad maybe try that intermittently?
  • @Jessicajorden wow how scary! I’m glad they caught it!

@lindsayleigh1989 sorry you’re in so much pain, it sounds like you’re just getting all the worst symptoms. Does Tylenol help at all? That sounds like an annoying pain.

@paytonpedro like @amylu914 said, I have a friend who had one early in her last pregnancy, as her uterus grew it shifted up and wasn’t a problem, she had a normal birth and everything. So sorry you’re going through that extra worry, and pelvic rest!
  • I had my first mini crying bout yesterday. I had broken my phone the night before and that morning I spilled the coffee DH had JUST made me. I cursed the day, angry cried, and my DS came up and gave me a big hug and kiss and said “you okay” like the sweet angel baby he is. Ugh. Hormones.
  • @Jessicajorden Holy smokes! I’m so glad you took your medical care into your own hands and got a proper diagnosis finally! That sounds so scary!
