I HAVE A HEADACHE THAT WON'T GO AWAY. That horrible hip pain that keeps you tossing and turning at night started for me last night, so I am sleep deprived. And my stomach hurts and nothing but the slow cooker pork roast chili I just put in sounds good and I have to wait 7 hours for it! In short...I feel gross.
The rlp is unreal. Everytime I move I’m having it!! I don’t think I had it with DS until closer to 25/26 weeks and I’ve had it from the start with this one! I also am at my lowest weight since I had DS almost 2 years ago. Not sure how that happened, I haven’t thrown up once.
Ugh I've got hip pain too, bugs me all night. I'm sure it'll just get worse And sore boobs, but apparently only if I wear a real bra so I'm living in my old nursing bras.
I started feeling nauseous again. It's not too bad but it's like a lingering feeling and it lasts all day. Aside from that, my #1 complain is still fatigue. I woke up at 6 to pee and managed to go back to sleep for 2more hours...and I almost missed a conference call. Pregnancy brain is so real...
I’m feeling pretty good! Hallelujah!! I have noticed that my back hurts when I sit in the same position for too long or standing too long. Extra boob weight is no joke.
Feeling more nauseous again. Thought it was gone but I guess not. Had some serious preggo brain: washed our tv remote control in the washing machine (still works yay!) and forgot to bring the presents to my friends house Saturday night, which it was my idea to do presents. Getting some sharp pains here and there, guessing RLP?

I’ve been having headaches. I’m afraid my blood pressure is up since it was high at my first appt. RLP has started for me too, way earlier than with DS.
My tastebuds have turned against me, and coffee is my #1 enemy (it usually my favorite thing in life) Im dealing with being constantly nauseous, yet hungry, and everything sounds gross. That alone makes me want to cry. This weekend the fatigue hit me hard (after being on bedrest a week, I guess I was tired) i did notice that my hips are feeling tired, as if I just had a huge workout. And the 2am insomnia is back.
Hi.... so I’ve been having a rough couple weeks, and my dr is so nonchalant about everything it’s making me nuts. But I am super constipated. Like no BM in over three weeks. Which isn’t abnormal for me(ibs-c), but that coupled with the other symptoms I have is making me insanely uncomfortable!! I finally hear back from my Dr about this and she told me to take peri-Colace.... (I consume over 30g of fiber a day and drink 110+ ounces of water a day, and she already told me to take miralax daily for a week and NOTHING). Everything online says stimulant laxatives are a big NO-NO..... I’m already scared im no longer pregnant because of all the spotting- now she tells me to take a stimulant laxative. please forgive the LONG and incomplete-thought-laden post...but anyone have advice about this, or taking peri-colace? I am miserable and need relief but not at the risk of hurting the baby...
Ugh. This week is a mess and I cannot tell anymore if I'm sick or just pregnant, lol... it's just gross and a hot mess. The emotions have been whack, too, in the form of crazy paranoia. Fun stuff, guys. Counting down the weeks until 2nd trimester, haha.
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time, @pregnant_and_paleo I hope everything is sorted soon.
And Ladies with the RLP, I a right there with you. I just flex my stomach and hip flexors before I sneeze or sit up/stand up, that seems to help a TON.
Ok this just started and I don’t remember having it with DS... Anyone experience heart palpitations while pregnant? Everything I’m reading on Dr. Google leads me to think it’s just another pregnancy symptom but it’s been going on for almost an hour.
@paytonpedro I have had them and they can be normal. I do know people who have worn heart monitors just to be sure for a bit during their pregnancy so you should tell the doc, but it's likely nothing!
@pregnant_and_paleo i just looke up peri colace and yoire right it does say to avoid...I think constiparion for that long is also really concerning so maybe that's why she told you to take it even though it's not ideal? I am so sorry that has to be so uncomfortable. Do you drink coffee? I know other said that got them.moving. call your doc back and ask for alternatives, share your anxiety about the spotting and the constipation! Don't Feel bad sharing your concerns even if they are going against what the doc is telling You! I hope it works out.
@SmashJam I have tried a cup of coffee.... no dice. Thank you though.... I think she is concerned because I took everything pregnancy safe and it didn’t help.
@pregnant_and_paleo I'm also IBS-C and take Miralax and 4 Docusate every night (400mg). If I'm really stopped up and need to go, I drink one bottle of Magnesium Citrate. It's super cheap ($1.50ish) and you can get it anywhere like CVS or your grocery store. I usually take it right before I go to bed and will need to wake up once or twice to go in the middle of the night, but by the next day, I'm back to a somewhat normal feeling. At least I'm not constipated anymore! It's safe for pregnancy and is non-stimulant. All my OBs have given me the OK with it and I try to only use one when it's really needed (maybe once a month). Good luck!
AFM, I'm finally feeling relief from nausea thanks to the Diclegis. I've felt hungry for the first time in months, which is a welcome feeling. Still exhausted but definitely getting better!
Still. So. Sick. I don't get it, it's not following any patterns. I'll be fine for days then randomly sick. Or something I eat makes me sick. Or I'm on the couch because I feel so sick but nothing seems to cause/help it. I need this over.
Yup. I'm taking unisom. I don't know if they're not helping or giving me the good days. It either feels like i'm having a great day or everything sucks.
@Kenya715 I take magnesium citrate normally but for some reason I didn’t think it would be baby safe(mainly because of how crampy it makes me) but thank you for suggesting that I’m definitely going to talk to my nurse practitioner about it!! I wish she had suggested that over the peri colace! I still haven’t decided if I’m going to take it....half of me feels that she’s a medical professional specializing in pregnancy and she knows what she’s talking about and the other half is terrified I’ll hurt the baby due to uterine contractions... @wildtot unfortunately prunes/prune juice just make me the smelliest gas machine in the world
@amylu914 no clue if this would help the taste in your mouth but have you thought about gargling salt water?
I made salsa chicken today for a burrito bowl. Got so excited. Then as soon as the smell started coming out if the pot, it made me wanna gag. DH is gonna have to have chicken bowls for the next couple of days...it's pasta night for me tonight! I hate wasting food!!!
I’ve had cramps since before I found out I was pregnant. The breast pain has lessened and I only have had maybe 5 days of nausea and thrown up twice. However, I’m having killer headaches every day lately and RLP has started but it’s not every single time, just sometimes when I stand or sneeze. The cramps have been more painful the last few days and I’m wondering if it’s RLP but I just don’t know because I’ve never been pregnant before.
I’m so nauseous, all day long. I can’t stand it anymore. My kid pooped in the bath tonight and I almost puked all over him. I am taking Diclectin and it seemed to help at first but now I feel worse than before I started taking it. And my due date got pushed back at my dating ultrasound so I lost half a week. Trying to be thankful that everything else seems ok, but it’s really hard to look on the bright side when I’m so damn sick.
The nausea and sickness had pretty much ended, I’ll get the occasional light nausea but nothing super bad. But the headaches have increased big time. They’re no joke. Friday I had one so bad I was in tears. Just awful.
Tummy feels bigger then it should lol Pretty sure it’s just a food baby at this point! But my tummy feels tight and stiff almost. Wondering if it’s round ligament? Anyone having this, is stretching good or bad? Thnx ❤️
So now i have sciatica down my left leg. My entire life I’ve only had it on my right but ever since I got my appendix removed in October i started feeling it in my left shin. I know this will only get worse and more frequent as i get bigger
@hayhay93 in my experience, RLP is more fleeting and sharper while cramps are more like a tightness and the pain is less sharp
@Knottie1427245147 stretching is fine but be cautious not to overdo it, its easy to over stretch while pregnant and hurt yourself. Can't remember the name but there are a hormone that makes our joint sense extra stretchy. Also, if you haven't already pleaseeee change your name- most of us are on mobile and its difficult. Plus it's so hard to keep track of/get to know knotties! There's a tutorial on this board somewhere if you need it, you should be able to find it if you search "knottie" in the search bar at the bottom.
@wildtot ugh I've had sciatica starting in my right buttcheek for the past month now it's not the worst. How weird that yours switched sides after your surgery!
Can nesting kick in a little early??? I could really use some neurotic motivation to clean up my poor house I've neglected the past couple months. My right butt cheek hurts, thank you sciatica. I've got to get back into yoga and stretching, I'm soo stiff.
Finally getting some relief from nausea and vomiting at 11 weeks. It stopped for a few days around week 9 but came back with a vengeance week 10. This is my 6th consecutive day not throwing up-really hope I have reached the end. I’m so happy to be feeling human and like myself again aside from mild nausea in the morning and at night.
Weirdly though still having tons of food aversions. Do those go away at all or am I doomed to hate chicken forever?
@acunamatada i think it’s relaxin that loosens. But my sciatica didn’t necessarily switch. I still get it on my right side due to herniated discs but i have a feeling i got some nerve damage or something with my surgery. Crazy cause I’ve had three other similar surgeries in the past and never had this. It’s odd it starts in my shin too. I usually feel it in my lower back/butt.
I am/was in the SAME boat. I was sooooo constipated for like 2 weeks and already eat so much fiber and drink so much water. I took 2 tablespoons of milk of magnesia and two days later BAM, best BM ever. Hope this helps!
@wildtot yes! Relaxin! Should have remembered that, pretty obvious name lol. How weird that it starts in your shin! Does it start like a Charlie horse? That's so strange
@acunamatada it starts off feeling like when your cheek/mouth is numb from dental work which is what wakes me up (it only happens st night) and once i start to move it i can feel the ache radiating. Totally different than what I’m use to. Considering calling the surgeon again but he said it was nothing when i brought it up during my two week post op appointment.
@farmmomwithbaby1 hmm could it be something you're eating before bed that's setting it off? Or maybe your prenatal? I'm no help for heartburn, tums is magical for me. Maybe if would help to take one before bed?
@farmmomwithbaby1If it is heartburn, my favorite method of dealing with it is to take a shot of raw apple cider vinegar. It sounds extreme and gross, but it works for me. Ideally I take it before heartburn strikes, if I can see it coming, just because it WILL kinda hurt going down initially if you already have heartburn when you take it. So if you're waking up with it, maybe take it before bed? I like to mix it 1:1 with water. Also Tums has never worked for me either.

Still throwing up about every other day. My doctor gave me a sample of diclegis (sp?) to try so I am hopeful that will help.
I have a bad taste in my mouth 24/7, even after brushing my teeth multiple times a day. I did not have that symptom with DS and it is really annoying.
@wildtot unfortunately prunes/prune juice just make me the smelliest gas machine in the world
