@shortstack930, yes, we're aiming for 1/16. Assuming everything goes well.
@jrm_14 I'm in a similar situation to @madspunk. When I went through the IVF ER cycle I didn't actually tell my manager, but I did have a talk with my co-worker as there was no way I could sneak out daily without her knowing (we shared a work space). I also wanted to make sure she wouldn't be blindsided by my absence. I was lucky in that she was completely supportive and my role was flexible time wise. I recently changed jobs knowing I was doing an FET cycle, and this is the first manager I've briefly informed about the situation, because we've worked together before, and it felt necessary to lay the cards on the table before I accepted the offer. Again, I was offered nothing but support. I think I've been lucky in that regard, but I also think people can sometimes surprise you.
@50Wife, hugs to you. That loss of surprise is it's own hurt, and I think it's natural to feel that. It's also natural to be scared, but you can so do this!
@SkilledSailor, early to bed with a book is one of my favorite forms of self care. Thanks for the reminder!
@KariAnn323 FX that there's improvement in the number of follies for you.
@Aurora1973 That sounds incredibly difficult to have to spend time with DSS's mother. Much hugs and strength to you this holiday season, and FX for a Christmas miracle. "I'll be doing my best not to ruin my own holiday..." Haha! This is totally me. I'm definitely my own worst enemy.
@BusinessWife Tomorrow!!! Do you know what time the transfer is scheduled?
@aurora1973 That’s so tough to be spending time with DSS’s biomom while you’re going through.
@zwink1@madspunk Thank younfor your input! My team (3 others) knows what’s going on. I decided to just be honest with my supervisor. He was supportive. Hopefully he will be the go between for me & anyone else who is not. I made sure to mention it falls under ADA
I picked those kinda randomly, with help from reviews. But they have tons of selection. In general, I don't have trouble relaxing during acupuncture, but I like the guided hypnosis to concentrate on the areas I need help with. I do think it's made a difference in my stress level.
Thanks @madspunk and @jrm_14 ! Yeah, it can be challenging. Fortunately, we have a pretty good relationship. I think if I knew her another way, I would like her. Plus she's a great mom. And we've both worked hard over the last couple of years to put him first and try to have fun when we're all together. But yeah, I think it's going to be challenging...I appreciate everyone's words of encouragement and support

Oh @adirat I wonder if the doctor just over-measured last time and this time it was under-measured? I know they want to see it at 8mm+ no matter what, but that's so frustrating. I am so, so rooting for you, no matter what those lining measurements are showing.

@adirat Was it your dr or nurses that measured? I wonder if some of it can be left up to interpretation and if two different people measured it?.. And I assume that during the cycle it changes a little bit here and there. Did your RE seem worried? I am rooting for you!
Thanks @lulu1180@alohakumu... I'm trying to stay calm because it's still above 8, but I'm just anxious since last FET failed.
@redpuma119 Yeah, last time the ultrasound tech measured and this time the RE measured, but it seems like a huge discrepancy. FWIW he didn't seem concerned -- he said anything above 8 is fine. But I was so happy that my lining was thicker this time than my failed FET and now I can't reassure myself with that anymore
I guess I do still have two days of estrogen before I start progesterone so maybe it'll be OK? I can't remember if he checked my lining again the day of the FET.
@adirat Hopefully he will measure prior the FET to double check. I'm sorry, I'm sure this is just one more thing to stress about. Crossing everything for you.
@adirat Maybe things will change your next visit? Im hoping you have a sweet smooth transfer!! @BusinessWife FX for you today! Sending you happy implantation vibes!!

AFM: picked up all my IVF meds this morning! DH and I were shocked when they handed us two shopping bags of meds. We also had our medication class which DH said was overwhelming but since I’m a scientist I found interesting. I’m going to be taking Lupron then Gonal-F and Menopur with an Ovidrel trigger. It looks like we’ll be doing a fresh transfer so no PIO shots, just a vaginal progesterone gel so I was happy about that! AF is due next Thursday/Friday so I’ll start BCP and then stims a couple of weeks after.

@shortstack930 Lots of meds! I hope this one round of IVF with fresh transfer is all you need and that all goes well.
@BusinessWife Thanks for thinking of me. Details below..
@adirat Sorry your lining has gone down. I know mine has gone down before trigger on a regular stimming cycle, but I'm not sure why that happens. Hopefully yours thickens back up a little.
AFM: BFN, confirmed through today's Beta. It's strange because I consider myself pessimistic generally, but even after multiple treatment cycles, I still think each round is going to work, and then when it doesn't, I'm totally let down.
I think we're going to do another IUI. The plan was to move onto IVF after this cycle, but now that this cycle went pretty well (as in, at least we didn't have to cancel it and my progesterone was actually over 10), we're considering giving it another go. It's been really hard for DH and I to accept that things aren't going to happen the old-fashioned way, and maybe not even through IUI, and we are dragging our feet in going to do more advanced technology, even though there's part of me that feels silly for doing another IUI. But then I get to the end of a cycle, and I never feel ready for IVF. I feel like we have too much hope. I guess I will be deciding which way to go over the next few days...
@shortstack930 Holy meds! You and H will rock this! @madspunk I'm so sorry. Big hugs. I think you're smart for doing what feels right to you. This journey isn't easy, but following your heart is. We support you. My H told me the other night, "I wish we could just make a baby the old fashioned way." I had a mix of wanting to slap him and wanting to hug him. But don't we all want that?
@madspunk. (((Hugs)))) I'm so sorry it wasn't better news... but glad you guys feel good about the next iui! ❤ Will be rooting for you every step of the way
So DH couldn't be here since he had to get my mom from the airport, but I'm here in my little room... just waiting... so happy to bring our little embie home!!! Baby's very first Christmas lol
@shortstack930 YUP! Lots of meds I cleared out a shelf in the fridge for them!
@madspunk ugh sorry for the BFN. We never even got a chance to do any IUIs they moved us right past it to IVF. When we first started seeing the RE we were like YEAH IUI will totally work for us! Then we got the bad news about he septum and the Low sperm count and we looks at each other like ... IUI isn’t gonna help us. I kinda Feel like we missed out on it.
AFM, things are progressing and though I didn’t get measurements, she did say I’m responding perfectly and they are growing (didnt even ask Bc it’s not gonna change anything). Adding Cetrocide tonight and back in on Christmas Eve for monitoring and again in Christmas morning! I told H that we may possibly be triggering on Christmas .. he said OH they’ll be just like Jesus ! Love him!
@madspunk ((Hugs)) What a rollercoaster of feeling the hurt of this cycle yet seeing the progression of the ways it improved. @ndz2018 just like Jesus! I’m sorry you feel as if you missed out on the chance to do a lower intervention. ((Hugs)). @shortstack930 Hopefully you had room in your fridge! @adirat Fx that your lining holds steady. It is absolutely understandable you would feel uneasy. @BusinessWife Everything crosses for your little elf in there!
We did it! We transferred a beautiful hatching 5AB blast from my second retrieval. DH texted me that he had just driven by the clinic, right as we had just done the transfer! How cool is that!? So in love.
super random- see I knew I would have questions.. this is way gross and TMI, but does anyone ever take out a tampon when you're flow is slowing down, only to have the tampon feel full, but not with blood? Like it's full of moisture. Almost like my period is clear fluid? Happens all the time to me. Anyone else?
Aww, @BusinessWife, that’s sweet that your husband at least was close by around when the transfer was happening! I’m sending so much positive energy your way!
@madspunk, so sorry about the BFN. I can understand being reluctant to move on to IVF and all it entails. FX that the next IUI is the one for you!
@jrm_14 I basically just told my boss that we were trying to get pregnant and I would need to come in late/take a day with very little notice and he was fine (and has even been encouraging about it)
@shortstack930 nice work on fitting into those jeans! And have you read anything good lately?
@50Wife glad you’re past having to get all that blood drawn!
@Redpuma119 I’m glad you’re feeling at peace with it all!
@Augusta108 I’m glad the results came back with no new concerns!!
@KristoKekerooni I’m feeling that way right now. Guilty about booking a vacation (and I loooove traveling because I feel like we’ll need that money for ivf). Thank you for putting all of that into words.
@Aurora1973 I hav my FX so hard for you that you get great news on Christmas!
@adirat I’m not sure if it’s any consolation but when I asked about my thin lining, the nurse said that it continues to grow every day so hopefully yours will grow more (or the measurements were just off)
@BusinessWife I’m so excited for you! And love the idea of baby’s first Christmas!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) trying on our own again
How are things going? AF showed up earlier this week. But H and I did book a trip to London and Paris with his twin brother and his wife (I love her! ) for February so I’m excited. We also got H’s repeat SA back. Most things looked good except 2.
Volume—3.1mls
Sperm concentration-73 million
Total count-229 million
Progression—rapid 21, slow 49, poor 5, none 25
The ones not in range:
Normal morphology: 20% (they want >30%)
Round cells 2-5 million (they want less than 1 million) this is the one that the dr highlighted. H has to have a repeat culture. He wrote that there is isolated teratozoospermia with the presence of round cells
Any questions? Does anyone have any info about too many round cells?
GTKY: How are you going to practice self-care this holiday season? Winter break started today so I plan to sleep in, take naps, catch up on tv, and do lots of reading!

TTC#1 10/2016
TTC/IF:included medicated cycles, IUIs and 2 rounds of IVF with 1 embryo each.
BFP finally in 12/2018
TTC#2 06/2021

some doors are open, some roads are blocked"
Love him!
@Businesswife Aww first Christmas! I love it!
super random- see I knew I would have questions.. this is way gross and TMI, but does anyone ever take out a tampon when you're flow is slowing down, only to have the tampon feel full, but not with blood? Like it's full of moisture. Almost like my period is clear fluid? Happens all the time to me. Anyone else?
@madspunk, so sorry about the BFN. I can understand being reluctant to move on to IVF and all it entails. FX that the next IUI is the one for you!
@ndz2018 I love your relaxed stance - "didn't even ask because it's not going to change anything". Maybe you will get a Christmas trigger miracle.
@BusinessWife Woot! Embryo is onboard!
@madspunk I’m so sorry about the bfn but I’m so glad your body behaved better this time
@BusinessWife glad the transfer went well!
@ndz2018 how are the injections going?
@beachbunnyxo123 I’m glad you have a plan!!
@RVAmom315 I’m sorry your timing wasn’t ideal for you.
@halfanewt that’s a rough start to your appointment but I’m glad no repeat tests are needed
@AlohaKumu that must have been so neat to watch!
@darkstar42 it’s so hard to NOT have TTC control your life. I hope you find a good balance.
@Sailing_Mama enjoy your getaway!!
@Avrilmai I really want to learn to knit but I can’t decide if I’d have the attention span for it
@jaylii I’m sorry you have to be here, but welcome!
@kiwi2628 I love you GTKY. I really need to think that way more often
@zwink1 I can’t wait for 2017 to be over!
@KariAnn323 grow follies, grow!!
Diagnosis (If you've been): AMA, ovulation dysfunction
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): wto
