Me and my hubby have so much to do this week/weekend I'm tired just thinking about it!! But I know it'll be fun! And we will be telling everybody our good news on Christmas eve/Christmas day& I am so excited! My parents already have 2 grandkids, but they absolutely adore them so I know they will be so excited!
Waiting to get out of Atlanta. I was supposed to have my first ultrasound and prenatal appt today. I just rescheduled my prenatal appt for Wednesday, but my Dr wants me to do my ultrasound first so that's tomorrow morning while kiddo #1 is in preschool. I feel a little bad that she'll miss it, but it's easier to have just one kid with me than two. I'm also weirded out that my ultrasound has to come first. I guess she wants something to talk about when we meet. And I have to call up that company that does the MaterniT21 test--she wants me to be able to tell her if we're doing it or not. If it's not too expensive I think I might, but only because it's more accurate than the NT scan. My husband is feeling team green tho so I think he's hesitant. Today I'm hoping my MS stays in check while flying. I forgot to take unisom last night.
I FINALLY cleaned my house this weekend after neglecting it for, like 3 weeks. That was my big accomplishment over the weekend. Other than that, lots of throwing myself on couches and beds saying, "I'm sooooo tired...."
So I went to the ER yesterday. I've had a terrible cold for a few days now, and yesterday slept for about 23 hours straight. (Mix that in with the horrible work shift I was doing last week -- I needed to sleep). Woke up in a pool of sweat, so I went to take a shower.
About five minutes into the shower, I faint, falling through the shower and my face meeting with the toilet. I knocked out the tooth right of my big tooth and my entire face is puffy. They think I have gestational diabetes.
I’ve been hungry for lasagna and I haven’t made it for YEARS because a whole lasagna is way to big for the 4 of us. Sooo I invited myself over to my friends house tonight and I’m going to use her kitchen to make a lasagna for both of our families lol. I’m so excited!
Finally I am cleared to not have to be on total bedrest anymore! I am still heavily restricted, and feeling weak, but I am no longer confined to bed. The SCH is still there but isn't as threatening as it was.. I am praying by next week we will show good progress
@kat029 How scary! I hope it was an isolated incident (My name IRL is Kat, and I saw a post by you the other day and I was like...I don't remember this....hello pregnancy brain!)
Thanks for all of the warm wishes. I just came back from the dentist and they won't do any work until the second trimester. I'm going to be toothless for two weeks! And when my grateful mind catches up with my vain mind, I know I'll be happy that the baby is alright and that I was able to find all this news out early. For right now, I'm dreading all of the "redneck" jokes I'm going to hear at Christmas.
@kat029 oh man. I'm glad the baby's gonna be okay, but I get you! I cracked part of my tooth off on a vacation and I was mortified. It was my front center tooth, too. It looked awful. I couldn't get it fixed until I got home and I kept my mouth closed the whole time. Worst.
@kat029 i have a few cavities to fix and my dentist said the same about waiting but when i asked my doc this last week she said its fine to do it before and if the dentist has questions they can call her. Thought it was interesting.
@kat029 that’s terrible! I hope you feel better soon. I got a letter from my doctor saying dental work was fine and listing what medications could and couldn’t be used. You may want to check with your doctor to see what he/she says
@kat029 holy crap!! So glad you’re ok! But I completely understand the tooth situation. It’s happened to me before as well and even waiting a few days makes you crazy! I hope everyone keeps their mouths shut and takes it easy on you over Christmas break. Hugs
I am having such a hard time differentiating between "Weekend Randoms" and "Weekday Randoms" anyone else? I have almost posted in "weekend" a few times! lol
@amylu914 The ER did a ton of different screenings, including blood work, trying to find the cause of fainting. I don't remember much of what was said, but the normal level (of I don't know what) was 200 and I was at 230. That is where they drew the conclusion from. I fainted about five times my last pregnancy but didn't have GD.
I'm going to see my doctor this afternoon. Im hoping all goes well.
@kat029 good luck at your appointment! I hope you get some answers. I don't trust ER docs 100%- in my experience they really rush to find any diagnosis that they think fits. Feel better! I think you look great btw, but I'm guessing that's not your normal face lol.
@kat029 how scary! Did they rule out the flu? I had the flu during my third pregnancy and almost fainted several times. Once while just sitting down. Maybe the flu can mess with your blood sugar levels?

My husband is hilarious. He finally got a big project done and took this week off of work. Yesterday his bro called in hungover and the other IT guy thought he had the day off, so he didn't get his vacay. Today he is on edge because he was like, "There was just so many loud noises and chaos this morning." I told him with us being home all the time it might not be as relaxing as he thinks...I think he might be realizing that, lol.
Re: Weekday Randoms 12/18
Screaming "baaaaaaaaaabe" to oblivious DH on the other side of the room.

@mrsj1215 we also have SO MUCH to do this week. Really looking forward to Friday when I can finally relax and enjoy a few days off!

@kat029 so sorry about the fall! I am glad you are okay. Did the possible GD diagnosis come from the fainting or did you do the screening?
@hillbillywife Sam's Club had lasagna samples last night and it was seriously so good, and that was frozen crap. Enjoy your homemade goodness!
@crystal321 that’s great news!!
