@catlady1215 I think that as long as he owns the name and potential nickname, he’ll be fine.
It’s not entirely the same but DHs last name has a slang word for vagina in it. DH, his dad and his two brothers all own it. They go by it among friends. Idk if I even knew DHs first name the first year I knew him. Once we started dating, I had to train myself to call him something different. I know my son (maybe sons) will go by it too in the future.
Woke up today to our furnace not kicking on luckily DH is on a vacay day today so we can get someone here. It's 20some degrees out there! Reading 52 in here when we woke up! We have hot water heat so fingers crossed it's not a ridiculous fix.

An old friend from middle school was due in February and she just had her baby at 28 weeks. Her water broke at 27 and they were able to keep him in there until 28 and now he is in the NICU. If you could send your good vibes or T&P her way that would be great.

@catlady1215 I hope it's an easy fix. House problems are so annoying, especially when pregnant. I find I get annoyed by things that distract me from all things baby haha
I have been having a hot water heater saga that has been the thorn in my side for weeks now. Before that it was the furnace. I feel your pain. FX for a painless, easy, not ridiculously expensive fix.
@doxiemoxie212 - A few days ago everyone was talking about bra sizes and you were saying you have a hard time finding them your size...I just saw an ad for this place called Cosabella...their slogan is "made specifically for larger busts and smaller rib cages". I know nothing other than that...might be worth a quick google?
@kmurdock925 I actually saw that too! It's like instagram was listening! I ordered it, and it arrived. It...........sort of fits. It makes my boobs look HUGE, but not in a super flattering way, and it's sort of itchy... but it does fit, so :-\
Guyyyyys I bought one of those super soft super warm oversized flannel shirts from Madewell, and I just discovered IT ALSO HAS POCKETS!!! the only better discovery would’ve been if the pockets had money in them.
Pockets are def a plus. But you had me at super soft super warm oversized flannel. That sounds awesome. I want allllll the oversized warm clothes for this winter.

If anyone is having trouble with baby names, there's a pretty fun app we're sucked into. You both download it, and link up. Then you swipe left/right on names. It creates your list and tells you when you and DH match.

@catlady1215 we have tried that app! Its fun! but our last name starts with C and we have a D name picked out for a boy (a family name) so I made a joke once that we should name our other child with an A and then our kids initials would be AC and DC and we could play thunder struck when ever they walk into a room. MH has taken this way too seriously and now the only names we have matched on are girl A names.
@stephcat421 its just called Baby Name. Its a yellow square with a white egg for the logo.

@doxiemoxie212 & others does your OB not require early payment of the estimated L&D copayment? Its right on the door at my doctor's office. It says "Labor & Delivery Co-payments Due by 20 Weeks No Exceptions."
@ffw0617 I think my doctor's office functions entirely different from yours. I get a bill after every appointment, which since I had hit my deductible prior to pregnancy, was pretty minimal - like $6-50 each time depending on what I had done. I don't actually think I have a copay. My deductible will restart Jan 1, so I'll have to start all over again, but I pay for everything with our FSA, so it's not a huge deal.
@ffw0617 My OB has the same sort of copay schedule. I’m not sure on the week payment had to be made by but it was listed on my paperwork. It total cost of labor and delivery and prenatal appts are all lumped together and I think it was broken into 4 payments. We have amazing insurance, so I don’t pay anything other than the hospital copay upon admission. ETA: no trying to brag, just the reason I don’t know the exact week it is due by.
@doxiemoxie212 my insurance sucks. I talked to the "maternity nurse" from my insurance company a week ago and she explained what we have to pay and lets just say I was depressed for a few hours. My employer already doesn't pay 100% so I have to pay $500 per month for me & DH on top of the copays. When you add both (what's taken out of my pay and the copays) we are looking at somewhere between $8,500-$12,000 for all of this. I had a federal job before and heard stories of $100 copays for C sections.
@ffw0617 yea I think we pay $500-600 per month. That’s actually fairly low by national averages (but still obv a lot of money). My deductible I think is $3k so I’m expecting probably $4k or $5k OOP all said and done, plus the monthly payments.
@catlady1215 I asked MH about Tate and he said they never called him anything inappropriate but they are all pretty good guys.
Another reason we need single payer...there is no reason that one person should have to pay more for identical services just because their insurance isn’t as good or because the hospital they go to is more expensive.

I find it interesting to hear how different insurance companies handle L&D/maternity coverage. I love my insurance, and wish every other insurance company had coverage like ours.
