I was recently thinking of @spongeworthy and her LO. Have I misses any updates (I remember one a while ago shortly after baby was born)from her or any of the other high-risk pregnancies or complicated deliveries?
Just seeing this now. Thanks for checking in. DS is doing well, all things considered. We spent 112 days in the NICU and were discharged in mid-October. He’s had two cardiac catheterizations and two jaw surgeries so far. His first open heart surgery will be in a few weeks. He’ll have another jaw surgery in January. He currently has an NG feeding tube and will be getting a gastrostomy feeding tube in January. He’s on oxygen 24/7 now, but we hope the heart surgery will fix that. Other things on the horizon for next year are cleft palate repair, hypospadias repair, and eye surgery. One good thing is he’s been gaining weight well. He’s almost 13 lbs now, up from 2.5 at birth. We’re trying to take each day as it comes and enjoy this time at home with our LO as much as we can

Congratulations on getting to go home!!! I can't imagine all of the feelings involved after such a complex start to this journey. So glad to hear that he is growing well. I will continue to think of you and look forward to updates as you are able to post them.
