No clue where I posted about this, but I cannot rent the Kingsman movie because its not out yet! Ugh!!! I settled for a night of tears with Me Before You. Maybe because I've watched it a dozen times before, I won't cry???
So I had a rehearsal scheduled today to work with someone at 4:30. I went ahead and scheduled a private at 4 since I was already going to be at the studio. Ended up working with my 4:00 until 5:00 because my 4:30 showed up 15 minutes late, with MCDONALDS in hand. I don’t have the ability to magic two minutes worth of choreography in 15 minutes kid. Show is in ten day, hope she has something figured out, because we are like out of time. If she’s late tomorrow I’m going to have her pulled from the dance.
Any other musical theater nerds out there? I saw Something Rotten tonight and Adam Pascal, the original Roger from Rent was Shakespeare. They are doing their annual Broadway Cares fundraiser and they offered to have him sing One Song Glory if someone donated $1,000 and someone did. It was awesome to hear him sing it live!
@mileswithmyles I love musicals (and plays for that matter), but I don’t know the names of people. Since I live near-ish to NYC (and used to live in NYC), I get to see quite a few Broadway shows each year. I always ask to see a show for my birthday.
That is awesome someone donated the money so you could hear him sing that! I hope you enjoyed Something Rotten! I saw it with Christian Borle as Shakespeare (only know his name bc he was marrjed to the lead in Younger ha).
@mileswithmyles awesome! I haven’t seen that one yet. If you have other free time, you can get cheap Broadway tix from TKTS in Time Square. NYC is so pretty over the holidays. I hope you have the best time! The window displays and holiday markets are so cute.
@silverhope I’m so excited. I’ve never been. DH went about 16 years ago. And DS is such a Christmas fanatic that he’s so excited to see all the holiday stuff. I’m so excited I’m finally going. I’ve been wanting to to NYC for as long as I can remember.
@mileswithmyles have so much fun! It will be a beautiful (cold but beautiful) time to go! We used to go to NYC yearly before DS. I’m sure that will be a fun musical! The last one we went to in NYC was Waitress and I loved it. Huge Sara Barellies fan. You should check out Ellen’s Stardust diner- great singers there often doing pieces from musicals!
@mileswithmyles My cousin's wife is going to NYC in a few weeks, so I sent her a list of fun things to do and Christmas-y things to do. I can PM you the list I sent her
She is staying in Union Square/Gramercy area, so I listed some good restaurants near there too (I used to work there). She is going with girlfriends so I had boozy brunch places and happy hour places, but I will leave those off for you
@holli0801 thanks for the rec! Waitress is coming to me this season and I already have tickets. MIL and I have a season ticket package and get to see most of what comes here.
@silverhope that would be awesome. Normally boozy brunch and happy hour would be right up my alley, but clearly not for this trip. we are staying in Times Square.
@lincbeesmom I was just talking to my sister who has an almost 4 year old about DS's (he's 2.5) craziness lately and she said be prepared, 3 is worse! But I think once they get past the 3's I think there is light
Me and DS visited my aunt this weekend, she has 2 cats and my cat allergies we're out of control! I'm so glad we came home tonight so I didn't have to medicate myself again.

I’m not sure if this is just a fluke but yesterday my 2yo was waaaay harder than my 3.5 (4 in March). Or maybe it’s just that my older has always been hard and my younger does have mellow phases sometimes.
I am so beyond mad at DH but I'm not sure if I'm being reasonable. He has been sick with a cold or allergies so beginning Friday night his snoring was so bad it was resonating around the house and I could not sleep. I was nice and went and slept out on the couch which is not comfortable so I slept horribly and got little sleep. I also let him sleep as long as he wanted because I knew he felt bad. Last night I asked him before bed if he took cold medicine and he said no. So I said okay then if you wake me up snoring again I'm going to ask you to go on the couch. Well guess what he woke me up with the same horrible snoring. I asked him to go out on the couch which he did but just came barreling in at 7:30 and demanded he sleep back in the bed. Well that woke me up abruptly and the dogs who wanted out so now that they're up, I'm up. This is all compounded on my inability to fall back asleep quickly when woken up at night which is a pregnancy thing. I've spent all morning crying out of rage and lack of sleep. I don't know if I'm being insensitive to his being sick or not.
@bwow615 I'm allergic to cats too. I found out after getting hives when one scratched me when I was 5 I'm glad you are away from the puffy-eyed, runny-nose inducing fur balls (so cute, but so many sniffles).
@charlestonchew I get really emotional and upset when I am overly tired. And adding in pregnancy hormones, I would cry too. I think since you slept one night on the couch, it was more than fair for him to do his stint on the couch. You need sleep for you and the LO, so he should accommodate a night on the couch even if sick. I hope he gets well soon for both of your sakes, but I think switching off couch nights is more than fair.
I ended up having to open the studio yesterday which would be nbd but J didn’t get any kind of nap today and I’m still wiped from it. My favorite mom at the studio mom shamed me today too. We are trying to avoid red dye in food with J because the few times we’ve given him foods with it in them he has gone absolutely berserk. Like, he acts like the chick from the exorcist. So until he’s a bit older we’re just avoiding it and it seems like it’s the culprit.
Why is that relevant? I’m glad you asked... One of the moms left a bag of Doritos for her daughter and J wanted some. I told him no and kept trying to distract him by playing and doing other things instead. Favorite mom started telling all the other moms in the room that she wouldn’t let her kids go hungry like that and it’s not fair to a baby to see food and not get any. I rolled my eyes and kept trying to explain to J that mamaw and papaw (my parents) are coming with food for him and he just has to wait for a little bit. She then loudly said that there’s no reason to not give him a chip if he’s hungry. I swear to god if I wasn’t an employee I would have told her off... Nosey people need to be less nosey.
@ivyvines6 it's not like the food you were "depriving" him of is a super healthy nutritious snack. Not that that would make it okay anyway. With all the food allergies kids have now, even an apple could be an allergy trigger and unsafe. I don't know why people think they have a right to comment on other people's parenting. It's too bad you were at work and couldn't let her royal smugness know what a jerk she is.
@ivyvines6 oh hell no. The toddler is allergic to tomatoes and really any acidic food gives him a horrible tummy ache and diahrrea so I would be livid if some bitch was shaming me from protecting my child's wellbeing if I didn't give him, like, ketchup. So sorry she was horrible.
@ivyvines6 ah! I would have been so pissed. I probably would ask how she is involved with the fight against hunger around the world? She is clearly very passionate about it.

@ivyvines6 I'd have flipped out, so kudos for holding back. Like @silverhope said, they were chips. Not really a nutritious snack and so many kids have different allergies. And even if it's just a preference she should have just shut up about what food you allow or don't allow. I'm there pretty much all the time, but the worst is with one of my sisters. She constantly makes comments about how now that DS is older we should just start slowly introducing dairy. I've tried telling her sure go ahead and give my kid the cookie made with margarine. But then I'm going to ask that you also come to my house for the next week to change the six diarrhea diapers a day and bring the expensive cream that his pediatrician has recommended for the rash and to find a way to clean the blisters on his bum while he screams for the three days after the diarrhea. She just rolls her eyes. The last time I told her seriously. Its that bad. So I will just avoid an allergy trigger for him. It makes zero sense since she had a gluten allergy that she wouldn't undertsand DS just doesn't do dairy of any kind.
Also I've given love tits to several threads over the last two days but have also had to uninstall and reinstall the app and it deleted lots of mine. I really just need to start using the actual computer instead of the app...
I need help making a very expensive decision. Would you go to a concert when the babies are 2.5 months old? Wouldn’t spend the night anywhere just be gone for a couple hours?
@lincbeesmom yes. I’m actually going to a concert with some girlfriends about a month after my due date. I did the same thing with DS. I just pumped in the car. It was nice to have a night out to look forward to.

Ok because the eagles are playing in Denver and it’s not going to be cheap but it really seems like a once in a lifetime kind of thing. My husband is a big fan and I want to surprise him for Christmas.
Dude go check out the "is this really a boy" thread. A few of us got our comments removed for TOU including my gif of a snail waving *sniff* I thought it was cute. Apparently my waving snail inhibited a user from enjoying the site.
It's not a violation to talk about this is it? Damn.

Eta: it’d be June 28th
What about driving for 5 hours with aforementioned 2 month olds?
@charlestonchew, I was just coming to ask what you ladies would have said to get a warning. I don't picture you 3 that got the warnings being that rude. I think we have one of the nicer BMBs. Heck, multiple people didn't QFP because it had OP's full name and information. I think that's pretty welcoming. It's also odd to me that she changed her s/n. Is she planning on sticking around?
@suchaglencoco yeah mine was literally a gif of a snail waving. But was in response to someone who called us bitches and said I'm leaving. I believe that's more unwelcoming than a snail. Who knows.
OH! I also didn't see that post!!! TB isn't working on my phone (**anyone else having this issue???**) so I made DH bring me the laptop so I could see why it got shut down.
ETA- I can pull up TB's bmb page, but whenever I click on a thread, nothing happens.
