  • @sunshineandwhiskey @izza2 yeah for me it's sneezing. So far yelling, etc., is fine.

  • Guys. My pregnant boobs are here in all their glory. I keep squeezing them because they're so big. (They had gotten really small and sad after I weaned DD in August.)

@llamamama14 my boobs are enormous right now. Every time DH sees them if I'm changing or something, he starts literally laughing and goes, "Your boobs are so huge."
  • Im tired all the time still at 12 weeks. I have been getting migraines here in there and my fingers and mouth get numb during. I don’t have much appetite (nothing sounds good) and I get full easily. Other than that, nothing new. Hoping the third trimester brings less migraines (or none at all).

  • @doxiemoxie212 I would enjoy them more if they weren't accompanied by my 6 month preggo blump that sticks out even further than my double Ds....

  • @llamamama14 yeah, no bump over here yet. I'm a 30 band size... used to be a 30DD, but that bra is way too small in the cups now, so I'm guessing 30F or 30G? I'd be more into it if I could find a bra that fits without having to spend like $75 + shipping from the UK lol.
  • I've ridden out my previous pregnancies with the same 36D bras I had prior to my first pregnancy. I do get quadra-boob in them when I'm nursing (that's when the real XXX boobs come out). I'm really looking forward to getting some nice flattering expensive bras after I wean this baby (in 1.5 years, sigh).

I’m 11 weeks this week. Next appointment is Thursday! Still have frequent peeing, gas after every meal, cramping on and off, nausea seems to be lessening but still daily, some bloat. I am a teacher, and I have had a student asking me if I am pregnant since about 8 weeks. I don’t know what makes her think that bc I don’t think I am showing yet. I also have the crud and have been taking Robitussin DM a couple times a day to make it through work and the night. It is on the approved list of meds, but still make sure me nervous since I am still in first tri.
  • @Ash9614, With DS2 I felt movement at 15 weeks (compared to DS1 when it was more like 18 weeks).  I can't wait to feel this baby!

  • @doxiemoxie212 - Nordstrom has larger size bras and can make any bra into a nursing bra (if you decide to nurse).  They are pricier, but worth it.  I didn't go there for bras until DS2 and I regret not going with DS1.  They fitted me (I felt like a middle schooler again) and my boobs were SO thankful for something that actually fit correctly.

The only downside is that we're still early in pregnancy, and once milk comes in your boobs will be even larger.  So it may not be worth the investment quite yet.

For reference, I'm a 36DD not pregnant.  I think I went to something absurd like a 38H when nursing.

  • Boobs are sore and I'm dehydrated and trying to get water in. 13 weeks today. When does that 2nd trimester energy boost kick in? I look forward to that lol. I need to look into new bras. I was a 38DDD before pregnancy and the band was loose. I don't even want to know what I am now but I feel like a comic book character drawn by a 12 year old boy with these things. The underwire is starting to drive me crazy and I am all red and sore by the time I get home from work.
I have not worn a bra without an underwire in my adult life so I have no idea where to look. I am planning on breastfeeding (though at this rate it will look like my baby is clinging to a beach ball).

  • @mytinc I haven’t been able to find any that are 30 band size at Nordstrom since that band size is rare to begin with. If I get a larger band size, even in stretchy more elastic style bras, it just slips up over my boobs and is pointless lol.
  • Ah, ok @doxiemoxie212 - I mostly have a hard time with cup size, i wasn't taking into account the band size.  I will say, though that my rib cage expanded with past pregnancies, so you may end up going to a 32 or even 34 depending on how your body reacts.  that might help you in your bra search.  And no, it won't stay that way after pregnancy.

  • @mytinc yea I figure I just need to be patient and see if my rib cage expands. Nervous about huuuge nursing boobs tho lol.
  • I had coworkers (female coworkers no less), continually make comments about the fact that they couldn't believe how huge my boobs were.  Yeah, I know I can't exactly hide them, but comments are unnecessary.

  • @MoonOverGoldsboro at least yours will stay perky!
  • @mytinc when I was about 7 Months pregnant with DS I went to get my haircut.  The lady was shampooing my hair and asked when I was due.  I told her and she leaned over and POKED MY BOOB and goes, “Oh yeah those babies are nice and full!”  It is not often that I am speechless or shocked in life, but I literally didn’t even know what to do.  I will also add that this wasn’t my normal salon/stylist, I had just gone to get a trim and wanted to go that day so I just did a walk in salon.
  • Team little boobs unite!
  • Wow @Miz_Liz - I just don't get why pregnant women's bodies seem to be okay for people to touch, whether it's boobs (which is never okay), bellies, etc.  I was 9 weeks along when I told work this time.  A woman that reports to me and is new enough that she wasn't around for my other two pregnancies reached out and touched my stomach as she cooed.  uh, no.  The baby is in my pelvis, and you seriously just crossed a line.  I was too shocked to say anything.  This woman and I are not on touchy terms (i.e. not huggers, etc.), so I have no idea why she thought this was ok.

Not everyone gets huge nursing boobs. I never changed cup size just went up band size from 34C to 36C and that was only from DD expanding my rib cage while still pregnant.

  • @mytinc YES!!  I am very “don’t touch my belly/body”.  I don’t understand why people think pregnancy gives them a free pass to touch.  My MIL was like that with my 1st.  I think DH said something to her because the 2nd time she made comments about how she knows that I don’t want anyone touching my stomach.
  • @burneyonboard I am right there with you. I've been so nauseous in the late afternoon/evenings. It's so hard to brush my teeth and not gag!

@harveyabbey77 I have the exact thing going on this week too. Feeling pretty crappy and every time I try to cough I get the feeling of vomiting...ugh! As if first trimester isn't bad enough and then get hit with a cold...:(

I don't know about you ladies, but within the past week or two, I've been having really bad nightmares/dreams and they are so vivid and real. They are to the point that I wake up in almost a panic. I know it's the hormones, but man...I used to look forward to going to bed, but now I'm a little terrified to go to sleep for fear of what I might dream about!

  • I'm jealous of all of you with small boobs.  It will be easier for you to find nursing bras / camis and you won't feel like you are going to suffocate the baby with your boobs.  Mine were bigger than DS's head.

On the Nordstrom front, I was a 34DDD pre-pregnancy.  I went to Nordstrom to get fitted halfway through pregnancy last time because I couldn't fit in my current bras anymore.  The women's response after measuring me? Sorry, I can't help you because your body / boobs are not normal.  I left in hysterics.

After DS, I ended up a 36DDD, but I've already increased in cup size this time and I think they are getting bigger again this time.
  • @marcus7676 OMG what a horrible thing for her to say!!!  She could have simply said, “I am so sorry but unfortunately we don’t have the right size for you.”
  • @marcus7676 I had a super-similar experience at Nordstrom (non-pregnant) trying to find new bras! WTH??

  • @marcus7676 I am in the same boat as you. I was treated like a side show act over my boobs. There are actual bra shops that don't act like that and that is where I will be making an appointment. I don't need the snobbery because my tatas are huge. I'm already not thrilled about having them I don't need to be gawked at by a "professional"

  • I don't know why y'all (and mostly my mother) still trust sales associates to have any idea wtf they're doing. I feel like that ship sailed decades ago.
  • @doxiemoxie212 I wouldn't get so hung up on the band size. It is a ratio of the measurement around your rib cage vs the measurement around the widest part of your boobs so if you're in a 30D you should be able to go to a 32C. When I got measured at Nordstrom they put me in a 32D where I was wearing a 34C. I think  they just wanted to make me feel better thinking I went up a cup size when noting actually changed.

Also as a PSA you should buy your bras so they close on the widest clasps then as they stretch out you can tighten the clasps. When you're on the tightest ones and it feels too stretchy or like the band isn't holding you in its time for a new bra. Additionally, unless you are getting really sweaty (in which case you should probably be wearing a sports bra) or leaking into your bra, you don't need to wash them that often. I have four bras that I rotate through, a week in each, so I only end up washing them each about once a month. The more you wash them the faster they will wear out.

Lastly, I have switched over from Victoria's Secret to Soma. Interestingly enough every woman I have mentioned this to has said "Isn't Soma for Plus Size?" I think they do carry a wider range of sizes than VS so that might be where they got that. But I feel like the quality is much better than VS for a better or similar price.

  • @marcus7676 I am with you too...I had double D's before I got pregnant with DS and after delivery, I literally felt like I would suffocate him! Then with breastfeeding they were just out of control. I breastfed DS for a year and after that my boob were like massive, deflated, sagging pancakes! Now with baby #2 they are back to being not so flat, but man they have grown leaps and bounds since finding out I was prego :( ...I will never understand why people pay for huge boobs....DH and I are in agreement about getting a reduction and a lift after we are done having kids...

  • Last time I felt like my boobs basically declined to participate in the entire pregnancy process. Didn’t get any bigger and then when the time came, they didn’t make breast milk either. I could get maybe an ounce combined pumping. I never got that letdown. And when I stopped pumping they didn’t react at all. I’m hoping that I’ll have an easier birth this time (I was forced to deliver at 37 weeks with pre-e and my body was not ready and didn’t cooperate at all. Had to CS and then DS went to the NICU with underdeveloped lungs and I couldn’t hold him until a week after birth and at that point he had no interest in going to the breast ). Hopefully if things go easier my body will feel like trying to breastfeed. Only time will tell.

  • @krashke so, that is true in terms of what will fit my actual boobs, but if I get a larger band size, the bra literally slips OFF my boobs. I've tried for years to make a 32___ work, and it just doesn't. It stretches out within a week, and doesn't provide any support at all. I'd honestly prefer a 28, but that's even harder to find.
  • Following up on @krashke If any of you still shop at VS for bras, do yourself a favor and try somewhere new!!

  • @doxiemoxie212 that sucks! Honestly at this point I'm about ready to give up on any type of bra that even remotely tries. I asked my mom for "comfy bras" for Christmas. I feel like I'm back to a training bra from 6th grade. And when I'm not out in public (and even sometimes in public if I have a sweatshirt on) there is no bra.

  • @krashke yeah, I'm home a lot, so it is no-bra city over here most of the time. Even the "comfy" bras don't work for me lol. They either gape about an inch away from my skin, or they smoosh my boobs up out of the top of the bra creating many different boobs. And forget sports bras - a joke.

And yes to everyone who agrees VS bras suck.
  • My boobs are too big for VS. I stopped shopping in department stores years ago because of the treatment I received and how the girls had no idea what they were talking about anyway. Once I was properly measured I shopped online. Now that they are growing I will be going to a boutique for a new measurement. I do it myself but I still don't seem to get it exact. I only want comfy bras for the next stages but I also need some support because of my back. I feel like a teenager again only wanting to wear baggy t-shirts and hoodies because I was ashamed of my boobs.

I also need to find some long yoga pants that don't float on top of my sneakers. I am a little over 5'9 and willing to hem if they end up too long. I only find too short. This bloat made me say goodbye to my jeans.

  • @krashke I also asked my mom for comfy bralletes for Christmas. My boobs aren’t big at all and don’t need contained. I’m just over underwires...because why? I’m happy to go back to comfortable coverage only bras. My current favorite ones are both nursing bras I bought prior to DS’s birth that have no underwire.
