    1) 28 Weeks! Officially Third Tri!
oof. definitely feeling like I'm in the third trimester.

    2) How are you feeling?
cranky. tired. sore. huge, even though the Dr keeps telling me I'm measuring a week or two behind :/ did I mention cranky? cranky. and weepy.

    3) Any appointments this week?
nope, but I passed my glucose test last week. hooray!

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
after travelling (driving) waaaaay too much over T-giving, I have to fly to a conference tomorrow for four days. I'm dreading it. I hate flying anyway, and my usual coping mechanism is to numb myself with a few drinks. Which obviously is not going to happen this time. DH and DD are staying home (usually he and I attend this conference together) and it will be the longest time I've left DD since she was born almost 3 years ago.

    5) GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish (or holiday if you don't have Thanksgiving)?

    stuffing! and green bean casserole!
...neither of which we had this year :( no mashed potatoes, either. we visited DH's family, and the menu was very different than I'm used to :'( the turkey sat out half-cooked overnight (!) due to an electrical failure in the smoker, so I didn't even get any turkey or gravy (everyone else still ate it, I was just worried about bacteria...) still feeling pretty bummed about the whole meal, tbh.

  • My theory for how they cooked it was put cookie dough on a plate and warm it up, then use a creme brulee torch to cook the top, because the top was cooked like a cookie but the inside was warm and underdone. I really want a torch now just to make this.
Instead of the torch use the broil function on your oven and it should work the same

  • @katefb17 I keep measuring a week behind to, but dr. Isn't too concerned yet. Are they going to have you do an ultrasound at 30 weeks to recheck?
  • @chawk17 no ultrasound for me :( they wouldn't even do a dating u/s in the first trimester (I was 100% sure of my last period, so they didn't seem to think it was necessary). I don't know what I measured with DD, but I gained weight at about the same rate I currently am, and she was a totally average birth weight.
