@bdesterhouse you get a pass since you werent asking for yourself.
Lurkers/newbie PSA If you want to start a thread follow these steps first: 1) have you read the Read First thread? no? than do that! 2) Want to intro youself? great do it in the introductions thread. 3) have a personal question? ask it in the weekly questions or any other check in threads 4) USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION there is a strong chance we have already talked about or started a thread for what you want. 5) searched and there isnt a thread? is it a thread that would be beneficial for the majority of the board? okay post.
PSA: I got a new blend of essential oils and it's helping my nausea. Don't be a dummy like me and think if sniffing from the bottle is good a few drops on the shirt would be better. I'm coughing my lungs out now. Anyway! It's from Nature's Fusions and it's a blend to help with vertigo and grounding, but it would be easy to blend yourself. It's a blend of peppermint, spearmint, ginger, coriander, and lemon, in that order. I've changed my shirt and am sniffing the bottle, and have some going in a humidifier in the room. Every time I get a wave I sniff (sniff is such a weird word!) and it passes for a brief time. I'm digging it!
Ugh @gspmom21 I watched the first few episodes then lost track. I keep meaning to do a binge catchup. I don't know if it's the best idea with first tri hormones, I hear the show is basically emotional abuse.
I fell behind last week so catching up right now before 8! @amylu914 I’m the only weird girl in the world who doesn’t cry but they’ve got me a few times tonight!

I have never cried watching until now! lol

I'm going to cook dinner tomorrow for my brother and SIL since they just brought home their second little one. Everyone has been making some variation of pasta/ziti/stuffed shells so I want to do something non-pasta. Any favorite recipes when doing a meal train? Something that can be prepared ahead of time and/or reheats well? Thank you!!
@izzyp25 this is one of my favorite casseroles for meal trains. Pair it with some French bread and a salad if you want to go above and beyond and it's a delicious, comforting meal that makes great leftovers!
I'm so bored! I don't want to watch tv, I'm in between books and don't want to start a new one, I don't really feel like gaming or knitting or cleaning, and none of my friends are around to bug.
@christycalifornia omg, this episode I was eating a sandwich and couldn’t swallow because the lump in my throat was so big!! The last 10 seconds really got me and the previews for next week. What do you play??
@gspmom21 I'm kind of between games right now, or just feeling uninspired. I was really into some indie games on PC in the last two years, and I play some Overwatch and Minecraft but not hardcore. The Man surprised me with Mario Odyssey for my birthday, so I've been playing that in the evening and letting my daughter be player two. I'd call myself a gamer lite, because it's only been in the last few years that I got into anything more than casually, and I'll get really into one game and play till I'm over it then do something else entirely. My husband is the real gamer, he's always got something going.
*TW loss mentioned
I don't know, I haven't really been doing much on the computer since I lost my baby, and not much now. I never want to play when I'm sad or I'm sick (I just can't stand to be on a computer while I don't feel good for some reason) and that's pretty much been the last 2.5 months between loss and morning sickness.
@christycalifornia I’ve had a console of some sort for my entire life, so I’ve played various games. In high school I started playing WoW lol because I was dating a real big nerdy guy. DH despises games and... kind of forbid it when we got married so I sold my Xbox and don’t play any computer games anymore. I’m not really upset about it too much. I heard the new Mario is AWESOME! sorry you’ve had a rough few months luckily you have a lovely little one on the way to cheer you up!
So since I left work early on Monday for my doc appointment I had decided to not go back that day so I can process what just happened. Yesterday morning I decided to tell my manager what I was going through and I was super surprised by his reaction. He immediately got teary eyed and asked if he could give me a hug. Glad that went well.
Gamer here also! I have been hooked since my parents bought an Atari 64... am I showing my age yet? I grew up playing consoles, we have an xbox one, but I gravitate more towards PC since I started playing Everquest years ago when that was in its prime. Currently I am playing Paragon and WoW again. I have had Overwatch since launch, but regretfully I haven't even installed it for fear of getting hooked, and I already have too much on my plate.
Sorry for nerding out, but its a huge passion for me, lol.
And @gspmom21, I had an ex who tried that on me... an ex If it's something you enjoy doing, and you aren't letting it get in the way of your responsibilities, hopefully one day you guys can find a compromise.
I was thinking about playing next month, if you're still playing WoW then we should definitely play together! @crystal321
It's not really something I was in love with, and it did get in the way of me doing stuff. I have the sims on my computer that a occasionally play, but I guess I lost interest. I really like WoW, but honestly didn't/don't want to pay for it. lol I bought the game.... I don't know why this monthly subscription is necessary.
There was a free server (illegal) up a few years ago that was actually really good, fully functional. They got shut down by blizz though. If you do resubscribe, let me know! I actually lead a "casual" raiding guild on horde/area 52. We can hook you up
But if you're into moba style and FPS games, check out paragon! It's an awesome game and totally free while in beta
I'll look into it! The only thing with me is that I pretty much know just enough to get by, so I don't particularly know that much. lol Annoying to some, but I quest a lot and do dungeons (typically heals) so that worked enough for me.
So many tears this week.... and the ending! I go by Kate so that line felt like a slap in the face.... needless to say so many tears

I feel like they should have given us a big fat *TW* before laying that kind of news on us. Now I understand the importance of doing it in our discussions. I wasn't ready for that!!! I'm going to be a wreck next week.
Did we ever decide if we are doing daily ticker change threada or the weekly due date threads? I was about to throw the Wednesday check in up but don't want to mess up our organization.

I was wondering the same... I'm team daily ticker change so there ate people fro. Different weeks posting. I like to read a variety of sizes/weeks etc. Not just everyone's a poppyseed

I'm torn on this. I like the daily ticker change because it's more organized (to me anyway) but I'm a Sunday ticker change and weekend ticker change threads are always dead lol.

I finally said screw this all day Nausea and called my OB. We bumped my first appointment to next week. I thought I would share some of the tips she gave me to help with the Nausea.
She suggested: -herbal teas such as chamomile, peppermint, or spearmint. - psi (spelling?) bands - hard candy or ice chips - anything with ginger like gingersnaps or ginger ale - drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinager before you get out of bed in the morning.
