Oh hey, PSA: your insurance might be different, but mine requires that I "pre-certify" my pregnancy within the first trimester (no idea why). I wouldn't have realized it except I was looking really carefully at the insurance options during open enrollment last week. So check if you need to!
@doxiemoxie212 obviously you're not the insurance people but wouldn't they figure that out when my doctor bills them for prenatal preventative care? Also I'm switching insurance plans, we were both on MH plan but mine will be cheaper this year so were moving to mine, so it would be physically impossible to pre-certify in 1st tri as I will be 16 weeks when the new plan takes effect 1/1/2018.
Insurance is so complicated and stressful #weneedsinglepayer

@krashke yeah, I have no idea what happens if you don't do that. Also -- and this is the craziest part -- I'm "pre-certified" to give birth June 2-5. If I give birth on a different day I need to call them and update them.
@krashke so dumb. Also it took 30 minutes, which is an obscenely long time for me to just call them and tell them I'm pregnant. Like, wtf. 100% with you on single payer; bring it on.
