GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays?
R/R: Fun moment this morning - I ran into one of MH's friends from college in my office this morning. Apparently he's at an event in the building. Despite it being such a big city it is truly a small world.
CS/Q: I always find it funny when my temp is exactly the same 2 days in a row. I wonder what my body is preparing to do if anything.
GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays?
I'm heading down to Florida for the week of Thanksgiving. Sooooo excited for some warm weather and relaxation .
R/R: I think my nurse is gonna get me my IVF calendar today!

GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays? My H and I switch families each year for Thanksgiving. Last year we went with his family, so this year we go with mine. My mom does things differently- we go to a really expensive restaurant for dinner. Its lovely.
WAYDTGKU: PNVs (when I remember!), BBT hope to start HIO every few days and OPKs from CD10 on
R/R: Hoping for some sex without viagra tonight. It's early, but I want to be in the habit. I'm already staring at my chart like it's going to tell me something. Let the obsessing begin!

GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays?
We travel to my inlaws for Thanksgiving. I miss Thanksgiving with my family, honestly. My mom makes everything homemade from scratch and my inlaws do not. They have a lot more people to feed, so I get it, but it used to be my favorite holiday and now it's meh with stress from travel. It's temporary, though, so I know one day we'll have Thanksgiving with my family again. (Though I don't hope for that to be soon, as it won't be until after DH's grandma dies )
Thanks all for the warm welcomes yesterday on the daily!
@nimmle pack your summer gear - it’s still in the 80s.
@lalala2004 sounds like your mom does it like my mom. I’m with ya...I’m missing my moms as well this year.
@kiwi2628 sounds exciting to have a nice Thanksgiving out!

WAYDTGKU: PNV, HIO and paying attention to cycle and how I feel. Still no formal charting.
R/R: I always am so proud when I book my off days with errands and appts...until I’d rather get a leisurely start to the day.
CS/Q:
GTKY: thanksgiving brunch/lunch and then dove into work! I loath the fact that as a society we don’t value the holiday and have turned it into a retail frenzy. Black FRIDAY. Keep it Friday...not Thursday/Thanksgiving.
@kiwi2628 Dinner out sounds lovely. We do dinner out on Friday because everyone is sick of cooking!
@lalala2004 Sorry to hear you don't get your family for Thanksgiving. It is so much nicer with everything from scratch. But, it's always fun to have a really big family together!
@And846 I'm the worst on days off. I have big plans to be productive, but so often I just procrastinate!
Month/Cycle: 4/4

WAYDTGKU:charting, CM, started temping yesterday, will start OPKs tomorrow
R/R: I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat that kept me up for awhile. Then I took some ibuprofin for the swelling. So, I didn't sleep well and took medicine. My temp went up lot, so on Day 2 of temping, I feel like i've already screwed it up (even though I know it's just one day... I'm just irrational).
CS/Q:
GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays? We go to the Jersey shore for thanksgiving. I come from a big Irish Catholic family and we all get together at the beach and play a big football game
@nimmle I always wonder that too (about the temps), but then I usually assume my thermometer is just acting up. Also, Florida sounds awesome! Will it be just you and YH or other family/friends?
@lalala2004 My experience with food/in-laws/parents is very similar to yours, so I feel you. It's hard to be away from your family on one of the yummiest days of the year!
@And846 Welcome! I'm sorry I did not get a chance to post yesterday, but so glad you are here.

WAYDTGKU: all the things
R/R: Went to a yoga class yesterday and it was great to stretch out! MH is feeling better and I got a positive opk this morning, so hoping for some QT tonight.
CS/Q: Does anyone have an issue with not getting any EWCM? (**TW I used to notice it when charting when we tried for DS, but since we've been trying again I have not noticed any. end TW*) I still have CM, just not the watery/ewcm kind. I've tried upping my water intake, drinking green tea, taking EPO, and I've been trying to use pre-seed. I'm just kind of bummed thinking that it may make conception almost impossible.
GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays? We will be getting together with my ILs and MH's extended family.
@nimmle Hopefully your body is gearing up to O! A warm Thanksgiving sounds lovely. @kiwi2628 So excited that you are getting your IVF calendar!!!! @lalala2004 I laughed at "staring at my chart like it's going to tell me something." Me too, all the time. @And846 I so agree with you on the Black Friday craziness! It should NOT spill over into Thanksgiving. Good luck getting all your errands done! ----------------------------------

WAYDTGKU: WFAF, then I think we're doing a medicated IUI cycle
R/R: I think we've decided that the possible regrets of not doing IUI now outweigh the possibility that it's an unnecessary procedure. My temp is rapidly dropping, and I expect AF any minute now, so the plan is to call the RE and get a medicated cycle going as soon as AF arrives. I'm still not feeling great about this decision, but I don't think I'd feel great about continuing to try on our own either. There are just no good options here. The good news is that my insurance coverage for IF stays the same next year, so we can do more IUI cycles then if needed. Thank you all for the amazing support you've given me this week, I feel like I haven't been as good at keeping up with all of you, so I apologize for that.
CS/Q: Witness the plunging temps.
GTKY:
*"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If
you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar
fall holidays? MH and I are doing a quiet Thanksgiving at home this year, with just the two of us. This has been such a stressful year (especially these last few months), that we really just want to decompress and spend time together.
@nimmle So jealous of your warm Thanksgiving plans! How are y'all going to handle T-Day dinner since you'll be traveling? Are you going to see family?
@kiwi2628 YEA for getting everything organized for IVF. Is the calendar basically a layout of appointments, and when to take your medications? Excuse the newb questions for IVF. I just have been reading a lot of mentions of calendars, but have no idea what details are on them. Your Thanksgiving sounds lovely....a great meal, and NO clean up!
@lalala2004 So happy that you're finally here in the dailies! Hope your HIO tonight is smooth sailing I agree about Thanksgiving food...there is just something about a pumpkin pie made from scratch! Just not the same if it's from a can...
@And846 That is one of my biggest pet peeves too about the holidays...I just don't see why people want to eat a glorious dinner to celebrate the essence of being thankful, and then are willing to fight it out over a flat screen TV a few hours later. It's called black FRIDAY for a reason people!

WAYDTGKU: Benched
R/R: Going thrift shopping here in a bit! I love looking at small little treasures, and old stuff
CS/Q: Nothing to see still. OPKs are darkening, but still negative.
GTKY: We'll be doing the classic dinner at our house this year. We might invite our British neighbors over since we'll cook way too much food for just us. We tried to invite three other families over, but two of them had already planned to have dinner together, so we felt kind of left out as we all typically do a big dinner together at one of our houses. The third hasn't gotten back to us still and it's been a few days since we sent out the invite...so they're most likely not coming. The holidays always feel so isolated when your overseas and away from family. Oh well. I just don't understand why we always have such a hard time finding a niche of people that want to hang out with us
@dukestar5 I have scant CM, so I really have to go searching to find it. I think you're fine though because watery CM and creamy CM can still be fertile....and/or you might have EWCM but just aren't finding it. Try not to worry too much about it unless you're just completely dry/sticky all the time.
@dukestar42 ((hugs)) making decisions as big as this are never easy, but I think you're following your instincts, and should give yourself time to accept this next step. It's always hard to accept that you need help TTC, so give yourself some time. I think your Thanksgiving sounds lovely. I hope the stress starts to ease now that you have a path to follow
@westphilly A beach Thanksgiving?! How fun and not stressful! Sign me up. Don't feel bad about your temp issues...it takes a bit to get into a routine. You're also still early on in your cycle, so it shouldn't mess anything up at all
@nimmle Will you be visiting family in Florida? Also wanted to tell you that Wicked last night was fantastic! I've been listening to the original cast soundtrack since the show came out and honestly didn't think I'd be impressed with the current cast, since who can top Idina Menzel?! But it was so great and the cast was on point! FX you O soon! @lalala2004 good luck with the sexy time tonight! @And846 Where do you live in Florida? @westphilly Hope you feel better soon! I've been fighting a cold and my temp jumped quite a bit too, so that may be why yours increased. @dukestar5 IIRC you don't check your CM internally, right? Or have you tried that yet? You may find more EWCM hiding up near your cervix. But if you already check up there, I'm not sure what to tell you. Do you drink much caffeine? That may dry up your CM... @darkstar42 I'm so glad you came to a decision you're somewhat comfortable with. It sounds like a good decision, IMO, and you know that we all have everything crossed for you and are thinking about you as you get the process started for your IUI!

WAYDTGKU: benched. It's FW right now and it feels SO WEIRD not jumping on DH as often as possible. I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something!
R/R: any boy band fans out there? Ashley Parker Angel from O Town was in Wicked last night! I was so excited and had my cheesy little fan girl moment. DH and I had drinks after the show at the top of the Marriott and it was so nice looking out over the city!
GTKY: The last few years we've had really low key Thanksgivings since we don't live near family. We may just go out to eat this year since it's not really worth cooking a whole turkey for just us! ETA: clarifying that I did not in fact have after show drinks with Ashley
@kiwi2628 oooo fancy restaurant dinner sounds fun! We've done that on occasion.
@lalala2004 Sorry you won't be with your family this year.
@And846 Legit. I refuse to shop on thanksgiving. Also, what's the point when I can get the same kinds of deals on Amazon and never leave my couch
@westphilly I love Philly. I've floated the idea of moving there to MH. He's not to into it even though he's from Bucks County.
@dukestar5 My Mom has a condo down near my Grandma so the whole family is headed down. My Uncle also lives about 30-45 mins away so it will be chaos, but good chaos. As far as your CM question I notice I get significantly more EWCM before AF and not that much around FW. Which is weird.
@darkstar42 I'm sorry it looks like AF is coming. Seems that there is not much point in waiting too much longer to get assistance. Hopefully next cycle goes well. FX for you! And yes, good lord I hope my body is gearing up for O.
@josie12367 Hey TTC twin! I saw your note yesterday, but didn't want to bump the board up Fun that we are around the same place. I have a ton of family down there so it's going to be a hoot and a half. FX you get that positive OPK soon. I looked at the strip on by CBAD this morning and it was totally odd. The test line was dark, but it was only the edge of it. I dunno if it was just a bad test strip or what. Sitting here and holding my pee for a good OPK sample at 11.
R/R: Rant: I won't be able to be on here much today or tomorrow. I will be conducting interviews at work both days, sigh Rave: getting my hair colored tonight. Trying baylage for the first time. This is the first time I've put color in my hair in probably eight years but I want to try something new.

GTKY: MH and I are hosting Thanksgiving. Count right now says we'll have a total of 15. Not sure how they'll all fit in my house, but we'll make it work.
@canucklehead123@SmashJam Thanks for the advice yesterday on bone broth. I'm going to check out a local butcher and maybe a farmer's market. I feel like a bit of a snob asking about the sources of their meat (it's like the chicken portlandia episode), but I'll do it. haha
@dukestar5 if you don't go digging, it might be there and you're just not seeing it. Another thing some people do is take mucinex (pure guaifenesin, no sudafed) which can increase CM. And lowering caffeine as others said can also help. I didn't drink much caffeine the first time I was TTC, but I haven't cut down this time.... Yet.
@offtoneverland I'm so glad you had a good time at Wicked! Seriously a top notch show. Also, crazy that Ashley Parker Angel was in it, I didn't know. O-town came to my school when I was younger before they were bigger. I had no idea who they were and then they became more widely known.
@westphilly Big family Thanksgivings are always fun,
especially at the beach!
@dukestar5 Have you tried using something like Pre Seed to
supplement cm? I haven’t yet, but I’ve heard good things.
@josie12367 When I was in the UK we had a big Thanksgiving
dinner with folks from all over the world, and talked about all of our
different traditions. It was a blast! We had Scots, English, Welsh, Canadians,
Zimbabweans, South Africans, etc. Good times. It definitely is hard to
accept medical help ttc. It feels like a failure somehow, even though I know it
isn’t, and I would never think that about anyone else.
@offtoneverland Thank you for the support. It’s a hard
decision, but hopefully things will work out for us. I’m jealous that you got
to see Wicked! I want to, but never have. Was this on Broadway? Also, we’re not
doing a whole turkey just for the two of us either. We’re roasting two game
hens, and making this lovely spicy Indian stuffing MH makes (rice-based, not
bread-based).
@nimmle Yeah, from all I’m seeing in the research, my age
means we need to be a bit more aggressive with treatment, even though all the
other markers look fine.
@jaylii Have fun getting your hair done! It’s always
exciting to try something new. Regarding bone broth, Costco often carries
organic chicken bone broth, so that’s a potential source if there’s a Costco
near you. I’m drinking some of it right now, in fact.
@darkstar42 Yep, the show was on Broadway. We haven't seen a Broadway show in a really long time and I forgot just how amazing the actors are! Game hens are a great idea! I just might have to do that since we haven't cooked for Thanksgiving in a while. Thanks for the idea! Spicy Indian stuffing sounds fabulous! @jaylii Good luck with the interviews today. I hope your hair turns out well! I've always wanted to try bayalage but haven't yet. Sounds like fun to treat yourself! ETA: words
@nimmle i love small world stories. What a fun way to a start a morning. @kiwi2628 the restaurant dinner sounds delicious and wonderful to not have to clean up. @lalala2004 good luck tonight! @And846 ha your rant is funny and so true. i always want to be productive, until the time comes and i want to relax. @westphilly I hope you aren't getting sick. @dukestar5 I'll be interested in the answers to your question. I personally don't see a lot of EWCM just watery, but it's not an issue during sex so i never really thought of it as a "issue". Makes me wonder. @darkstar42 so glad you have a plan. Limbo sucks and yes then you won't have the regret / what if. @josie12367 have fun shopping. @offtoneverland wait what? i loved O Town...sounds like a wonderful evening. @jaylii post a pic of your hair if you can, i love seeing different hair colors.

GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays?
My paternal grandparents host a big family one. We will hit that party, and play Pinochle late into the night. Then of Friday we will see H's family if they have anything planned. Its kind of nice having both our families within ~30 minutes of each other, but we always feel so crammed trying to see everyone. sigh.
@darkstar42 I'm happy that you made a decision that you like. You should try finding something that relaxes you to do tonight. AF and a tough decision can be a pain, and everyone can always use a recharge. @nimmle If I was a beach/warm weather person I'd be jealous. I am hoping for snow up here in the PNW. @kiwi2628 Thats a great idea!! No prep or cleanup, just enjoy!! @And846 You are better than me. @lalala2004 totally get wanting to be with your fam instead of the in-laws! We usually spend Christmas with my in-laws since they live closer, and it's just not the same!
@kiwi2628 fancy dinner out sounds amazing- and no dishes to clean up!
@And846 I agree with keeping black friday just to friday! GL!
@dukestar5 yay on the OPK! I've noticed an increase in my EWCM in the past couple months, I did add green tea a couple months ago and I always drink a lot of water. I've added POM juice too so I'm not sure if that's doing anything.
@darkstar42 that's not an easy decision to make, but glad your insurance covers some of it. The feeling of AF arriving each month is such a bummer. FX for you in this process!
@dukestar5I check internally for EWCM and that's how I usually find it. Occasionally I will have it when I wipe, but not super often. I agree with others with the advice to check internally. \ @darkstar42 Glad to hear that you have made an decision on IUI. What a tough one, but I think it's good that you're going to give it a try. It's hard to know what the next right step is when things are unclear. Thinking of you. Also, RE: Costco. Of course they would have bone broth, haha MH and I have an unhealthy obsession with Costco, so I'll go buy some. @blackhottamales I'll try to post a pic tomorrow of my hair! @nimmle Florida for Thanksgiving sounds awesome! @kiwi2628 Hope you get the IVF calendar soon! Oh and fancy restaurant for Thanksgiving sounds fun. All of my Thanksgivings have been big, crazy family events. @lalala2004 I hear you about Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday and I want there to be good food! @And846 I hear you on the appointments on days off. I always have Tuesday mornings off and try to book appointments on those days, but have learned not to make them too early! @westphilly Don't fret the temping! Just do it for a full cycle and you will start to see some patterns. @josie12367 That's nice of you to invite your British neighbors. I also like to take in any people I know don't have Thanksgiving plans. @offtoneverland Thanks, getting the color does feel like a big treat. It's $$$, but think it will be fun to do something new.
R/R: Rave: It's my Friday and the weather is beautiful today! It has been super cold and rainy lately and today is sunny and in the mid-60's! I have an interview next week for a work-at-home position that I would LOVE to get and I'm so hoping it works out! After driving 35 miles to and from work (70 total) each day for 8 years I would be so freakin' thrilled not to have that commute anymore. And I *think* I'm going to be ovulating in the next couple of days so I'm in a great mood today!

GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays? We always have a busy Thanksgiving Day. We always watch the Macy's parade (fun fact: I was in the parade in 2003!) and have a lazy morning. We have three different family dinners to juggle so we don't go to all of them. We try to rotate so we usually go every other year to DH's family and the next year go to my Dad's/stepfamily or my Mom's house. (My mom is a nurse and has to work on Thanksgiving some years). This year I think we will be going to my Dad's/stepfamily and haven't heard what everyone else has planned. It's terrible but I prefer not to go to DH's side of the family. It's so boring and the food is awful!

Sounds like your quiet Thanksgiving is just what you need with your DH to reconnect and relax. Hoping it's restful for you two! @nimmle We love living in Philly. We're city people, and Philly is the most affordable city that's close to home. It's also just like they say, a city of neighborhoods. We know so many of our neighbors. There are always block parties and on Halloween there was a massive block party/parade where everyone from the whole neighborhood went. It was so fun to see everyone in one place. @jaylii New hair color is so fun! Can't wait to see the pic! @dukestar5 I just started checking CM internally, and it was so much easier than I thought. And there was a lot more than I thought based on just checking when I wipe.
@darkstar42 Honestly, as sad as I was about doing IUI, it felt good to be doing something. Even though they didn't work for me, they gave me a better shot than just me on my own, so at least you will have that.
@josie12367 kind of, yea. Because of the way each individual reacts to medications, it is a very fluid calendar of when we hope/expect things will happen. For example (and I am making this up, I dont have a calendar yet), I am starting estrogen on the 16th. Then I will have bloodwork on the 22nd. Based on that bloodwork, I may do estrogen for 3 more days, or may stop that day. Then based on when I stop, I start stimming 2-3 days later, and I stim for 7-14 days...so its a very fluid calendar.
@nimmle Florida sounds amazing! I'm jealous! @westphilly your Thanksgiving sounds like so much fun! @dukestar5 yay for a positive OPK! @darkstar42 good luck with your upcoming cycle! I'm sorry you're still feeling unsure but at least you have a plan. Having a plan always helps me to feel better. @princesslocknessIMO i would say yes it's not ok even with TW. now this comes
with exceptions of course. The goal of these threads are safe places and
i'll be honest the more often I see people mention their kids it makes me sad
and makes me want to limit my exposure. Even with TW's most of the time
we read/see the information so unless it's necessary it's best not to share.
For example, a daily rant: "ugh, ***TW***my DD kept me up all night last
night and i'm so tired i can't get enough coffee in me" **end TW**
that's technically fine, but my reaction is well at least you have a DD ( b/c
i'm bitter and jealous) Where as if your rant said "ugh, i didn't
sleep at all last and i'm so tired i can't get enough coffee in me" my
reaction would be "oh no, fx you sleep better tonight!" If
someone asked a follow-up question on why you didn't sleep, then be honest and
say your LO kept you up with appropriate TW. There were multiple TTGP grads
that i didn't even know they had LOs. Most people who share LO stories in
WTO/TWW, I could rewrite their posts and exempt their LO stories and the point
would still get across. Again, this is just one childless woman’s opinion. But I hope you continue to post in the
dailies because I like your science and hope to get to know you more and more.
@kiwi2628 getting calendar! so exciting, seems like that will make it more "real" if that makes sense.
@And846 welcome. with you on the black friday thing
@westphilly I don't know your story, but if this is your first time temping cut yourself a break, it takes time to get adjusted. and you can always mark "fever" or illness or whatever in FF if that is the case.
@dukestar5 I love yoga, glad you enjoyed it. there was an article the other day (admittedly I didn't read it, just the headline) on yoga and infertility and how yoga can help, but I didn't read it because I figured it was about "relaxing" and that is not helpful.
@darkstar42 I'm glad you guys were able to come to a decision that, while not full of hope is one that you are comfortable with. I think it is great that you considered how you would feel with both situations.
@princesslockness there was a very long and detailed conversation, with a dedicated thread and some chatter in TFAS thread about this a while back. If you search the TTGP board you should find the convos. basically it came down to consider your audience in sharing. EX: you can say I didn't sleep well last night so my temps are off or I didn't sleep well last night bc my kid was crying so my temps are off. There are a lot of ladies that would give anything to have their sleep disrupted like that. So basically, be kind and think about the necessity of sharing. There have been those in the past who were very thoughtful in their posting and it went a long way. There were others that were, well, not, and it didn't sit well with a lot of people. I know ladies who posted in the dailies and I didn't even know they were TFAS. We were still able to get to know them and form relationships. No one is saying pretend you don't have a child, we're just asking if you do need to share do it tactfully.

@blackhottamales Thank your for the response. I am truly sorry if I hurt or offended you since I joined the dailies.
@Avrilmai I did not look in the TFAS past posts about this, I did bring up BFP posting for those who don't branch out from that single thread. I will go look for info on this. I am sorry if I haven't been as tactful as I should have been.

@offtoneverland If you want the spicy stuffing recipe, let
me know! I can get MH to scan it or something. I saw a couple of Broadway shows
as a teenager, and loved them. I wish I lived near enough to go again!
@blackhottamales Yeah, it was the “what if” worries that
really prompted our decision. A Thanksgiving wedding sounds fun! Do you get to
travel somewhere exciting for it?
@princesslockness Yay for being a science teacher! What
subject do you teach and at what level? You’re right that I need to find
something relaxing to do. I’ve had a hard time with that lately! Also, regarding
mentions of kids, I second what @blackhottamales and @Avrilmai said. I’d add
that (imo) you haven’t said anything offensive, it’s more that when a lot of
people make casual mention (even with tw) of kids in the dailies the cumulative
effect can be off-putting to those of us struggling to achieve a first
pregnancy. After being on here for many months or years it gets too hard to
see. tl;dr – you don’t have anything to apologize for, I appreciate that you
asked, and the important thing for the future is to think about your audience before you post.
@jaylii Yeah, we have an unhealthy Costco habit as well... Hope
yours has the bone broth! I’m still ambivalent about the IUI - glad to have made
a decision and feel like I’m moving forward, but sad to be at this point and
still unsure if this is the right path. But at least I won’t be thinking “what
if”.
@Sarafuss That’s so cool that you were in the Macy’s parade!
I always love watching it, but MH doesn’t. Fx you O soon! I’m definitely
grateful that I have at least some insurance coverage for IF.
@MicahDahn Welcome! Enjoy your date night tonight.
@westphilly Yeah, I think time off from work together is the
best thing for MH and I right now.
@kiwi2628 Thanks friend. I really appreciate
your support.
@Avrilmai It’s so hard making decisions with all of this,
since there is so little information out there! Fx we all get through this
successfully together. Will you being doing letrozole next cycle?
AFM, it’s officially cd 1 now, so I called and
scheduled my baseline u/s for tomorrow afternoon. The scheduler couldn’t answer
any questions for me (I wanted to request some specific b/w to retest my
Vitamin D and TSH levels), so I’ll be coming to the nurse with a long list of
questions, not least of which is how/when to switch to a different RE. I found
out that another RE in the same practice comes highly recommended, so I want to
switch to her. I’m going to play the “more comfortable with a female doc” card
rather than coming right out and saying I didn’t like the other guy.
@darkstar42 I am teaching 8th grade Earth Science, but would love to move to a HS and do Chem, Physics, and Bio. This age group is fun as they do get excited for things, but they also are starting to get turned off of STEM and I'm always worried (like unreasonably) that I'm going to push them further off.
I appreciate the feedback to my question. I try to read the room before hopping in, but I'm slightly oblivious to some social ques.
Good Luck with your RE switch!!! Hopefully you find a nurse and RE who can and do answer all your questions.

@nimmle My dad *always* runs into someone he knows, even states and miles away. It is weird how those things happen! @kiwi2628. Yay for your IVF calendar! ((All the hugs and kitty headbutts) @dukestar5 I haven’t read others replies to your questions. Do you drink much caffeine, take allergy meds? That can dry up CM pretty quickly. @josie12367 @and846 welcome @westphilly
Oops, posted too soon. @westphilly your Thanksgiving sounds glorious! @josie12367 feeling left out is such a bummer . If I were there, I’d come cook with you!!

@lalala2004 Sorry to hear you don't get your family for Thanksgiving. It is so much nicer with everything from scratch. But, it's always fun to have a really big family together!

@kiwi2628 Yay! That's great news.
@lalala2004 My experience with food/in-laws/parents is very similar to yours, so I feel you. It's hard to be away from your family on one of the yummiest days of the year!

Month/Cycle: 9/8
CD: 26

Oh well. I just don't understand why we always have such a hard time finding a niche of people that want to hang out with us@dukestar42 ((hugs)) making decisions as big as this are never easy, but I think you're following your instincts, and should give yourself time to accept this next step.
You're also still early on in your cycle, so it shouldn't mess anything up at all
@lalala2004 good luck with the sexy time tonight!

@westphilly Big family Thanksgivings are always fun, especially at the beach!
@dukestar5 Have you tried using something like Pre Seed to supplement cm? I haven’t yet, but I’ve heard good things.
@josie12367 When I was in the UK we had a big Thanksgiving dinner with folks from all over the world, and talked about all of our different traditions. It was a blast! We had Scots, English, Welsh, Canadians, Zimbabweans, South Africans, etc. Good times. It definitely is hard to accept medical help ttc. It feels like a failure somehow, even though I know it isn’t, and I would never think that about anyone else.
@offtoneverland Thank you for the support. It’s a hard decision, but hopefully things will work out for us. I’m jealous that you got to see Wicked! I want to, but never have. Was this on Broadway? Also, we’re not doing a whole turkey just for the two of us either. We’re roasting two game hens, and making this lovely spicy Indian stuffing MH makes (rice-based, not bread-based).
@nimmle Yeah, from all I’m seeing in the research, my age means we need to be a bit more aggressive with treatment, even though all the other markers look fine.
@jaylii Have fun getting your hair done! It’s always exciting to try something new. Regarding bone broth, Costco often carries organic chicken bone broth, so that’s a potential source if there’s a Costco near you. I’m drinking some of it right now, in fact.
@jaylii Good luck with the interviews today. I hope your hair turns out well! I've always wanted to try bayalage but haven't yet. Sounds like fun to treat yourself!

Month/Cycle: 8/9
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPK, B6, Pom juice, green tea, HIO, BBT- although I might take a break from this... all the usual stuff!
R/R: Rave: Working from home today! AKA wearing PJ's while I work! Rant: CD 2.
CS/Q: no chart
GTKY: *"Borrowed" from TWW* - What will you be doing for US Thanksgiving. If you're not in the US, what did you do or will be doing for other similar fall holidays? @nimmle I'm also going to Florida! I grew up there and my family is down there so I'm excited to spend some time with them... the warmer weather won't hurt either@lalala2004 totally get wanting to be with your fam instead of the in-laws! We usually spend Christmas with my in-laws since they live closer, and it's just not the same!
@kiwi2628 fancy dinner out sounds amazing- and no dishes to clean up!
@And846 I agree with keeping black friday just to friday! GL!
@westphilly beach football sounds really fun!
@darkstar42 Glad to hear that you have made an decision on IUI.
Month/Cycle: 5/3 (I hate having long cycles!)
CD: 25
WAYDTGKU: CM, OPKs, PNV

It's so boring and the food is awful!Me (32) Dx PCOS, DH (32) SA = Normal/mild morph issues

@darkstar42 Hugs for your tough decision making.
And yay for insurance coverage!
@offtoneverland I totally remember Ashley Parker Angel! So wait, are you saying you had drinks with him?? Or did I read that wrong lol?

R/R: a bunch of no shows this AM so I've had some bump time. trying to decide if I should us opks this cycle. we will likely be starting meds next cycle and I've heard that opks don't work well with it. don't really want to order 50.

@Avrilmai I did not look in the TFAS past posts about this, I did bring up BFP posting for those who don't branch out from that single thread. I will go look for info on this. I am sorry if I haven't been as tactful as I should have been.

@darkstar42 I’m sorry that you’re not feeling great about everything but I think it’s good that you’re able to move forward with a plan. Sending lots of creepy internet hugs!
@offtoneverland llllooove Wicked as well! The tunes say in my head for weeks after the show. I’m in Orlando.
@dukestar Thanks!
Give me a few more dailies and I’ll get better at replying and commenting and supporting! Still trying to get the swing of the thread and comunits!

@offtoneverland If you want the spicy stuffing recipe, let me know! I can get MH to scan it or something. I saw a couple of Broadway shows as a teenager, and loved them. I wish I lived near enough to go again!
@blackhottamales Yeah, it was the “what if” worries that really prompted our decision. A Thanksgiving wedding sounds fun! Do you get to travel somewhere exciting for it?
@princesslockness Yay for being a science teacher! What subject do you teach and at what level? You’re right that I need to find something relaxing to do. I’ve had a hard time with that lately! Also, regarding mentions of kids, I second what @blackhottamales and @Avrilmai said. I’d add that (imo) you haven’t said anything offensive, it’s more that when a lot of people make casual mention (even with tw) of kids in the dailies the cumulative effect can be off-putting to those of us struggling to achieve a first pregnancy. After being on here for many months or years it gets too hard to see. tl;dr – you don’t have anything to apologize for, I appreciate that you asked, and the important thing for the future is to think about your audience before you post.
@ncnole26 Welcome, and I appreciate the support!
@jaylii Yeah, we have an unhealthy Costco habit as well... Hope yours has the bone broth! I’m still ambivalent about the IUI - glad to have made a decision and feel like I’m moving forward, but sad to be at this point and still unsure if this is the right path. But at least I won’t be thinking “what if”.
@Sarafuss That’s so cool that you were in the Macy’s parade! I always love watching it, but MH doesn’t. Fx you O soon! I’m definitely grateful that I have at least some insurance coverage for IF.
@MicahDahn Welcome! Enjoy your date night tonight.
@westphilly Yeah, I think time off from work together is the best thing for MH and I right now.
@kiwi2628 Thanks friend. I really appreciate your support.
@Avrilmai It’s so hard making decisions with all of this, since there is so little information out there! Fx we all get through this successfully together. Will you being doing letrozole next cycle?
@mrs_drc_rn Thank you friend!
I appreciate the feedback to my question. I try to read the room before hopping in, but I'm slightly oblivious to some social ques.
Good Luck with your RE switch!!! Hopefully you find a nurse and RE who can and do answer all your questions.

@kiwi2628. Yay for your IVF calendar! Eating out for Thanksgiving sounds lovely!
@lalala2004 FX for tonight!
@princesslockness I hate trying to fit everyone in on holidays. So. Much. Stress.
@darkstar42. ((All the hugs and kitty headbutts)
@dukestar5 I haven’t read others replies to your questions. Do you drink much caffeine, take allergy meds?
That can dry up CM pretty quickly.
@josie12367
@and846 welcome
@westphilly
@josie12367 feeling left out is such a bummer . If I were there, I’d come cook with you!! When I was overseas, holidays were SO hard to be away from my family and traditions. MH & I go flea market/thrifting a lot in the winter to get out of the house. Find anything good??
@Avrilmai Horry for no-shows!
CD: 7. Still spotting, which is odd for me. usually spot 2-3 days post AF, which was shorter than usual, in all fairness.
WAYDTGKU: Amazon Primed a few things to spice up FW. H already texted me to say game on for tonight .
R/R: I’m struggling. A lot has happened IRL lately and I can’t shake this funk. H was super insensitive about some of it and I’m not in the mood to do anything later. But, FW.
GTKY: My brother invited H & me over. Historically, we haven’t had the best relationship for about the past 12 years. He invited us over 3 times in the last 6 weeks, which is 3 more times than the last 12 years (other than for all-family things, which is super sparser) We will see how it goes. They have gross food, though. We all went there per family rotation last year and the stuffing was awful. I’m vain like that.
