  • 1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
9w1d - Hopefully the little bean is still going strong in there and has officially become a fetus.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
    Symptoms aren't super strong

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)

Anxiety is out of control right now.  I just have a bad feeling.  Sorry for the TMI- I woke up in the middle of the night super hot and either needing to vomit or poop and ended up laying on the bathroom floor because it felt good.  Now my nausea is not so bad and my nipples aren't as sensitive. It might all be in my head- because lord knows I will never feel confident in any pregnancy- but what if it's not.  I tried talking to DH and my BFF about it, and DH is telling me he's scared too but just doesn't know what to say.  My BFF tried to talk me through meditation and what not, but it never works for me and I get frustrated that I can't calm down which is the opposite of what I'm trying to do.  I just want to feel like crap again- and hear a heartbeat with my home doppler.

    4. When is your next appointment?
I just scheduled my NT scan and non invasive testing for 11/22.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)

     Just anxious right now.

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite?

I like Pop and classic rock.  Least favorite is country and house music.

  • 1.  8 weeks 5 days
    2. Nausea still comes and goes but I'm feeling very irritable. I'm going to blame hormones.
    3. Anxiety also comes and goes. Anxious for the NT scan which is the day before thanksgiving, 3 weeks from today. Hoping we have good news as DH wants to share with family that weekend.
    4. In 3 weeks
    5. DH missed trick or treating last night. It was DDs first time and I know he got stuck at work but I was so sad and angry. I want to blame hormones but I think I would have been upset anyways. And he wants to eat all the candy now and I told him he didn't deserve it lol.
    6. I listen to most kinds of music except I hate heavy metal/hard rock Bc I feel like it gives me a migraine.

  • Hi everyone, I'm new to the thread, intro'd in the big thread this am. Was briefly part of the April 2018 BM. Blighted ovum dx at 9w 3d, d&c on 9/15. BFP on 10/22 with no period in between. Pretty shocking.  Happy and cautious to be here!

    1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 6w ish

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) Sore boobs

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
More in a denial stage than an anxiety stage at the moment.

    4. When is your next appointment? TBD

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)

When I got my BFP I called the nurse and asked what I should do and how they handle dating since I had no known LMP since my d&c. Told me I could go get labs, and wait until they reached 5,000 before scheduling dating u/s. I haven't gone for labs yet. Part of me wants to treat this like the pregnancy I had before the loss and just wait until I'm a few more weeks ahead to see what happens. My dr typically sees pts around 9 weeks, first u/s at 10. If somethings going wrong, it will go wrong either way. The labs and hcg will just make me more anxious. On the other hand, last time I had an MMC, and I don't want to get that far along again without knowing.  Is anyone else not getting labs drawn and just kinda of waiting it out? I know it's strange, but there was such a short amount of time between the loss and BFP, I'm just sort of off emotionally about it. Like I was still grieving the loss and I back here again. I am so grateful and hopeful to be here, but strangely disconnected.

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite? HUGE 90's rap fan, can't get into country even the cross over stuff.

  • @jsl82 sorry you haven't been feeling the greatest  :/ I know what you mean though, I can't help but constantly have a bad feeling.. like something going wrong is just inevitable.

@courtyowl427 welcome! I had a mmc/blighted ovum at 12 weeks in may. I was nervous to get my labs done this time around but they did help ease my mind whenever PGAL brain took over.

    1. 9+1. First ultrasound today.. if that goes well, it'll be one heck of a milestone.

    2. Haven't thrown up in a while. Nausea kind of disappeared for a while, but has been back the last few days. Stuffy sinuses. Tender nipples. My body just aches by the end of the day. Exhaustion.

    3. Anxiety is through the roof. I have my first ultrasound in about an hour, and it makes me feel better knowing that either way, my anxiety will be gone soon. I feel like if I see a heartbeat, it's all going to be okay. The reason my past two pregnancies failed was because of DH's genetics, not mine. The fact that we used a sperm donor this time makes me feel like everything will be okay, as long as that little heart is beating.

    4. Today, and if everything goes well I have my first prenatal appt on nov 22

    6. Honestly I'm pretty open to everything.. it really depends on the song for me. I feel like if I can connect with it, the genre doesn't matter.
  • @jsl82 hugs girl. Sometime this past week, my boobs stopped being sore. And I'm not sick really either. I think we're just getting farther along so we hopefully are just on the upward swing.

@katie121209 I feel like thanksgiving needs to hurry up. So many of us should feel less anxious by then!

@courtyowl427 I can kind of understand where you're at. My losses were back to back, so I def felt like I was still grieving when I got pregnant right away again. I think it depends on the person though. My anxiety would get so bad, I'd stress and cry daily. There's no way I could wait for labs. But you have to do what you're most comfortable with.

    @bkrahn thinking of you today!!

    @bkrahn I hope your u/s goes well!

@countryowl427 welcome! I had a mmc my first pregnancy followed by a second healthy one. It took me a long time to feel connected to my son when I was pregnant with him. I was always on edge, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

    1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 6 weeks 3 days. We saw the baby and heartbeat on Monday.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) exhaustion, nausea when I’m hungry, sore nipples

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) Seeing the heartbeat really settled me. What’s making me nervous now is trying to wrap my head around ovulating 2 weeks later than I expected since I was testing. I know it’s totally possible, and baby is growing as expected, it’s just throwing me for a loop.

    4. When is your next appointment? 11/9 is a follow up ultrasound to make sure baby is continuing to grow.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I just wish I could go back to the naive pregnancy days, when I didn’t know about any of this.

     6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite? Country is probably my favorite, folk music is a close second. I don’t know if I necessarily hate any music, maybe heavy metal?

    Edit because I forgot tags

  • 1. How far along are you? Any milestones?

9w3d, I am past both milestones. Which is good but at the same time part of my brain is telling me “Something’s probably happened since the last ultrasound and you just don’t know it yet...”

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)

Nausea still off and on, haven’t actually vomit but close a couple times!  Dry, itchy skin and scalp. My boobs are way less sore than they were.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)

I wish I could say better as I’m getting further along, but it’s like a sense of impending doom. It’s going to be tough for a couple more weeks.

    4. When is your next appointment?

    11/20

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)

My doppler is arriving today so I’m looking forward to hopefully finding a heartbeat soon. With my first pregnancy I was able to find it around 10 weeks with a friend’s doppler but never purchased my own. Now my PGAL brain won’t be convinced otherwise.

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite?

I like pop but more so the rock kind of stuff than rap. Least favorite is definitely oldies.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @bkrahn good luck today.

@catlady1215 congrats on the u/s today!  It's such a comfort.  If I could have an u/s every day I MIGHT be able to keep pgal brain calm throughout my pregnancy.  I'm hoping you are right about the symptoms starting to ease up now that we are approaching 2nd trimester.

@lisa2589 which doppler did you get?  We have the Sonoline B.  I tried it Monday and didn't find anything- but it was still so early... I'll probably try it again Friday in hopes that being almost 10 weeks then will give us better luck.  I used mine daily with my last pregnancy.  DAILY- even after I could feel her moving.

  • @jsl82 yes that’s what I ordered is Sonoline B. I’ve seen it recommended from a few ladies! I will probably try tonight and if not then again on Sunday (my actual 10w mark). Fingers crossed for us all finding it soon!

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @jsl82Could you make an appointment with your OB to help ease the anxiety? Maybe s/he can squeeze you in for an ultrasound or something.
@katie121209Hopefully the next 3 weeks fly by!
@courtyowl427I was in the April BMB too, I'm sorry to see you here. It's totally up to you if you want to get bloodwork done, or you could always get it done, but ask to not get the results.
    @bkrahnHow'd the ultrasound go?
@catlady1215Yay for getting an unexpected ultrasound!
@kbrown2385Anyone in your position would feel the exact same way. But it's good news that the baby is growing on schedule!
@lisa2589 I hope the next few weeks fly by for you.

    1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 6w3d, I passed my first and my second mc happend at 6w5d... I'm really stressed this week.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms) Hardly any symptoms other than being slightly tired.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) Pretty anxious this week, I wish I had some more symptoms to make it feel real. I really wish I could call my OB, but he doesn't have an ultrasound machine so there's no point right now.

    4. When is your next appointment? Ultrasound next Tuesday, and an appointment with my OB on Friday.

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I'm just really anxious right now.

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite? I really don't have a favorite kind of music, it depends on my mood. But I absolutely hate improv jazz.
  • Thanks for the welcome ladies!

@kbrown2385 That’s how I feel. The MMC came out of no where and really knocked me for a loop. I was in a dark place when I got my bfp. I keep telling DH, I’m pregnant until I’m not, right?

@ChloandCoco I remember you from April BMB, you went out right before me. I think I’ll go for labs next week. I just want to keep it simple as possible and let my cautious optimism just be.

@catlady1215 I totally understand you’re anxiety, for me it’s like being disconnect instead is a coping mechanism. Does that make since? I know I’ll have to acknowledge it eventually.

  • 1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
I'm 9+5 today and past the time of my previous losses.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Other than being really tired I don't really have any. I did have sore breaststroke but that has pretty much gone away now

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
I am feeling very anxious today. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better.

    4. When is your next appointment?
I have my first u/s tomorrow afternoon. With my last pregnancy I ended up having a mc three days after my u/s so my anxiety is really ramping up today!

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)

I'm getting really anxious and pgal brain is not helping me right now. I just keep thinking that something is going to go wrong with my u/s tomorrow and I'm going to loose this one like I did last time. I kind of just want to skip Thursday and go straight to Friday.

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite?

My favorite music is rock but I listen to almost anything. Though not the biggest fan of most modern rap. Old school rap I like just not most of the new stuff.

  • @nakoehl good luck with your u/s tomorrow!
  • 1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
10w 6d,according to the u/s I had last week that changed my EDD to 24 May. But of course I'm just staying here anyway.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Queasy in evenings. Starving all day and nothing sounds appetizing. Tender breasts on sides. Bloated as heck. Seriously I look pg and it's all bloat. Vivid dreams, peeing a lot. Irritable.

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
I'm way past my milestone. I'm feeling really connected to my pg now. I can't believe I made it to the calm zone again. Now to stop Googling what terrors lie ahead and I might be able to stay in calm. I'm not saying I'm in naive bliss.. Ain't never getting that back. But I'm calm. Probably because of my Sonoline B for the most part.

    4. When is your next appointment?
    3 weeks

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)

DH watched Beauty and the Beast (2017 versión) with me this evening. It was really good!

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite?

I love music! Most kinds really. But especially if I can connect with it on some level.

  • @Dashaina We wouldn't let you leave us for May anyway! haha.  Glad you are feeling more connected to your pregnancy now. Getting over the loss milestone is a huge win for any of us.

@nakoehl good luck today.  I miscarried my first within days of the ultrasound too- so I know how you feel.  A good u/s is no guarantee that everything will work out, but every time I get to see the little bean I know that at least today is going to be a good day.  Focus on just today- tomorrow will come and bring with it a new set of worries- but today you will hopefully get good news.

I still find myself reading the description of what is going on with Baby for the week and thinking.. "really? That seems like so much has happened. Can this really be true?"

  • @nakoehl Like @jsl82 said above. It's all about a day at a time. And I know there are a lot of people out there that say no baby doppler. But honestly.. In the first trimester and up until I feel that first kick... I find it very soothing to know that I can check when PGAL brain is getting out of hand.

  • 1. 6+3 according to LMP. I’m not going to be hitting any milestones for a while. I lost my daughter at 24 weeks.
    2. I wanted symptoms and I got them. All day nausea and vomiting has arrived. It sucks but I am glad for the reassurance.
    3. Anxiety wise, I am actually doing ok. I’m slightly less worried and more excited than I was last week. I’ve never miscarried and my loss was in the second trimester. I will probably feel a lot less safe then.
    4. Next/First appt is in 2 weeks
    5. I told some people I was pregnant because they noticed I wasn’t drinking at book club and some of the comments really through me off. I can’t remember exactly but basically this baby will make up for the baby I lost which is total bullshit.
    6. My favorite music is pop and 80s. Least favorite is probably metal.

7w4d - saw heartbeat last Tuesday and another US this Tuesday and still strong

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
Nauseous off and on, sore breasts, exhausted

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Finding it hard to connect with this pregnancy. My DD is 3 and talking about it constantly and every time she does I just hope we won’t have to tell her this baby went to heaven again.

    4. When is your next appointment?
Next Tuesday for 8 week US.

Currently super irritated that insurance won’t cover genetic blood testing.  I would like to have but can’t justify spending $2800 on it.

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite?

Country is favorite. Heavy metal least favorite. Makes me angry!

  • @dashaina I wasn't tracking my ovulation, barely tracking my period. I wasn't expecting to get pregnant or trying to. Anything really is possible. Waiting for the official word from my doctor if they are going to push my due date back
  • @nakoehl My bet is you have a later ovulation, which would explain the difference in u/s age VS lmp.  My passion is fertility and tracking btw. That is why I am asking... curiosity.

I’m bleeding. It’s not a ton but like I literally had a miscarriage last time within a week of this gestation and bleeding was the start of it. I’ve never had bleeding with my other normal pregnancies. I feel crampier than usual too. I guess I’ll go in in the morning to see what’s up. Saw the heartbeat this week but as we all know to well it all changes at the flip of a switch. :'(  :'(:'(:'(:'(:'(

I had an ectopic pregnancy over the summer/early fall. I’m now 8w1d. I had an U/S at 6w5d and heard a heartbeat of 119. My mind was slightly at ease with those results but now starting to keep me up at night. My husband and I had sex for the first time since finding out, which is now making me feel like I have screwed up. I won’t have another scan until 11 weeks and reading all the 8week miscarried blogs is not helping. I’m sorry for the rant, I wanted to get this out to see if it would help.

  • 1. How far along are you? Any milestones?

    6 weeks 4 days

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)
I'm actually feeling great!! A little nauseous but nothing at all like with my DD. Super heavy boobs and sore

    3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)

Of course I'm still sooooo scared to see anything on the toilet paper when using the bathroom-that's how I found out I MS in august :(

But I'm farther along than I was before so feeling more confident each day

    4. When is your next appointment?
My 1st appointment is Nov 20

    5. Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)

Feeling like this pregnancy is making me super bloated super early on. I swear I'm going to have to cave in the next few weeks to wear maternity pants!!!

Also, this darn daylight savings had me up at 5am...gonna be a looooong day!

    6. GTKY- What is your favorite kind of music?  What is your least favorite?

I love country! also some Christian music for feeding my soul

  • @azeger1 I like day light saving today it got me out of work an hour early  ;)
  • Maybe one of you ladies can ease my pgal brain... How can I only be 8 weeks? I got my bfp on Oct. 3rd so I would have to be around 4 weeks then, right? And I *know* I was pregnant at least the week before when I thought I was on my period. According to my calculations I should be at least 9 weeks.

Also does it really matter if I'm measuring that far behind? Can some babies just take a while to get growing?
  • @nakoehl a week behind doesn't seem like it would be an issue especially if you ovulated late. And there is really no way of telling unless you were tracking it. And depending on what kind of HPT you used. Like. For example I used one of those digital early with weeks on it hpts with DD2 and it said that I was 2-3 wks (I'm assuming it meant post ovulated) which for me at the time was accurate. If your doctor and u/s tech didn't seem concerned about it, then I would not be. Though I know easier said than done. But I really think a week behind lmp isn't something to be concerned about. I am also not a professional, Yada Yada Yada. Do you have another app that coming up soon? Can you pay for another/request another u/s?

  • @nakoehl I'm 9 weeks..... But I've had two ultrasounds that both measure aboiut 5 days younger,  my OB said it is suppppppper common and nothing to be worried about. Didn't even adjust my EDD.
