I just have so many things running through my head, and keeping this a secret is so hard right now, as there are so many people that I want to tell, but I know it is for the best that we hold of for just a bit longer to make sure everything is okay.

@ajsanders-2 same, we have just told both sets of parents (mostly because my MIL is an OB/Gyn and I needed her to get me set up and to text her with all my insanity) but dying to tell siblings and close friends. We have an appointment on 11/16 where I feel like I might be more willing to tell but feel like it might come out in some cases before then. Like-I’m going to yoga with a friend next week and when they ask if there are pregnancies at the beginning of the class, I have to say yes right?

@ajsanders-2 I hate keeping the secret! When do you plan on waiting until? I'm thinking Xmas because how often can you do that. Last time I told family early and it kind of annoyed me how they told everyone.

@Katm89 - Christmas does sound very fun, if I can wait that long I'll be amazed! It would be the perfect idea! Everyone thinks gifts and we could wrap something up!

@katm89 I plan on waiting until Christmas also if I can stand it that long. My OB’s office said I won’t have an ultrasound until 10 weeks so that would be mid-December. I think then it will feel “real” enough to share. I’m so afraid to tell people and then have something happen.

Although my mother can read me like a book. She may figure it out before I say anything. Especially if I don’t drink at Thanksgiving.

@ajsanders-2 I have always wanted to announce on Xmas. Last time I was 6 weeks at Xmas, felt awful and had to hide it.

@quiltandknit my mother knew last time and I kept denying it. It's going to be hard keeping it a secret. I will pretend to drink, but she will be visiting for four days. That's a long time to keep up that show.

@Katm89 not my doctor just using her practice (for the VIP treatment ) would be way too weird if she were my actual doctor! But I do like having a 24/7 line to someone who is more than willing to tell me I am overreacting/freaking out about nothing.

@Katm89 We announced with our first DD on Christmas and it was so much fun!

@acciocoffee how did you do it. After a hb on an ultrasound we have pictures getting done with DD and plan on wrapping them for the grandma's. My mom will find out on Xmas Eve through the gift and dh's mom will see her big sister shirt first... It says "santa is promoting me to big sister." We plan to purchase once we confirm viability.

@Katm89 We just gave the grandparents gifts that said "grandpa" and "grandma" on them. Also, since DD was currently the size of an olive, I gave them a jar of olives and made a little tag that said "Baby is currently the size of an olive".

 My dad's birthday is on Saturday so I'm going to Skype with him and tell him then.   Something along the lines of "we got you a birthday present but you're gonna have to wait nine months for it".

I love all these holiday announcements! With my July DS I announced to immediate family on Thanksgiving and to our extended family on Christmas! I plan on doing the same this time around if all goes well.

Am I the only one who has already told nearly everyone I know. I know some say it's bad luck but I'm the worst with secrets. When I say everyone I mean close family and friends. :P

@Katm89 most of my immediate family actually already knows- I'm not a good secret keeper! I sent my sister a picture of my first BFP but it was so faint the camera wouldn't pick it up so she didn't believe me lol

@LF93 I've told my BFFs and I plan on telling immediate family this weekend.  The only reason I'm even waiting that long to tell family is because I want to tell my dad on his birthday.

Is there another place to check for abbreviations besides the "Community Glossary?" That is very helpful and I find most things on there, but I also find myself lost or guessing at them sometimes.

We will probably announce at Christmas this time as we did with our first. For our first we dressed in our jerseys for my husbands favorite football team we had been gifted a baby jersey so we used that

Also, next Saturday I am having a girl's night with a couple of my friends, and I am 100% nervous on what I am going to do! I know we'll be going out and about to a couple of bars, and we all enjoy beer and drinks. The struggle is real right now!!

I already outed myself to one of my friends by ordering a sprite with my pizza last night and I'm a terrible liar!! Planning on telling my parents and siblings this weekend!

Anyone have any cute, easy ideas (etc - nothing inneed to buy from Amazon)? My S is expecting and she announced using mad gab cards - I probably won't do anything that creative, but don't just want to blurt it out either.

My friend announced to her Mom while they were playing rummikub. She made little cards to go over the tiles that said “B A B Y”

I know as soon as I see a couple of my friends, if I drink 'water' they'll know... which is weird because I barely drink. We are going to the bar to celebrate my old boss's last day, I drank a beer last time we all went to the bar. Hopefully no one says anything this evening... I'm half tempted to go to the bar and ask for apple juice in a stella glass.

@christycalifornia I will ask if I can’t figure it out, every one seems very friendly! hahaha, I didn't know who that guy was so I googled it. I'm not creative at all when it comes to names. I have a German Shorthaired Pointer (dog) which are commonly called GSPs so I went with that. lol.

@gspmom21 That makes perfect sense! We really like MAMA and GASP is fighting this weekend so it's on my brain. I doubt many others would make that connection.

@MrsMiller8588 last time I bought a onesie from Target that had something about Grandma written on it and wrapped it up like a present for my mom. My sister did something similar, gave my daughter a shirt that said "best cousin ever" or something like that. My mom was a little slow, though; I have two smallish dogs and she thought it for one of them at first. I had to explain it.

Umm, just realized the Bahamas are a danger zone for Zika and we have a cruise planned right after Thanksgiving. My midwife didn't mention any concern when I had her sign off on my travel forms for the cruise.... weird right? Should I be concerned? I went to Florida during the crazed zika time in the U.S and was fine... but now I am all freaked out.
