I took my kids trick or treating tonight on the street that DH grew up. There’s hardly any kids there anymore so everyone loves to see us and the kids, and mostly gives out full size candy bars. I’m really proud of myself for not digging into their candy yet.
Is it too early for baby brain? haha probably instead I'll blame, leaving my phone on the top of the car and driving down the highway with it, losing it, but was able to find it in the MIDDLE of the highway somehow semi functional with a bad bad cracked screen i cant see anything on, on sleep deprivation on a teething dd.
I know things are different with each pregnancy but I honestly didn't think I'd get pregnancy acne this quickly.
Also, I can only seem to find the board when I search through the Bump website. I can't find it on the app. Anyone else have this problem?
Oh my gosh, I don’t think I’ve ever had acne this bad. Womp womp. At least (for me) it’s not one of those pregnancy symptoms that everyone will be like “ohhhh, I think she’s pregnant...!!”

@LF93 No acne here....yet. Don't worry though, I'll be right there soon enough. My skin hates me...always has. I thought it would stop when I got older, but nope....now I just have pimples and gray hair.

@dapple88 I am totally winded all the time as well!! I run almost daily, and for the past week I've had to take a lot of walking breaks because I just can't catch my breath! I thought it was all in my head, but maybe not...

@dapple88 OMG yes to being winded! I don't remember this with my first...I also didn't have to walk two flights of stairs into work then though either. Partially blaming this on being out of shape!

I thought I was going to be more this way. Both of my BFFs are pregnant and I figured I’d tell them as soon as the lines turned pink. Right now I’m feeling like I’m not going to tell them until they ask. I AM excited to tell my kids and my family though!

@hillbillywife I am so jealous you have 2 friends to go through this with, all of my friends are still single/getting married so I don’t have anyone close to me who is pregnant or with kids. Glad to have this community though! Still think I’m going to have to tell my closest friends sooner rather than later there are only so many excuses I can give for not drinking (they are so pushy)

@KFrob, @CareBear622 , @bubby9215, @acunamatada Seriously you all! I do not remember being this winded with DS! I was teaching yesterday and had to stop talking to catch my breathe. My students thought I was crazy. Haha! I am glad to know I am not alone in this! I also live at high altitude so that doesn't help me out either.... Would it be to obvious to bring an oxygen tank?
@acciocoffee I am so ready to shout it from the rooftops but DH doesn't want to say anything until 12 weeks... I have told a few close friends. I am hoping that after our appt on the 16th we can at least share it with our families on thanksgiving.
@dapple88 We are planning to tell DH's family and my dad on Thanksgiving. MIL and my dad are completely incapable of keeping secrets, so we only have a few weeks to tell everyone else that we want to be able to tell ourselves.

That’s how I was with my first 2. It can def be hard being the only one with babies, but there are payoffs too. More snuggles for them! I don’t drink lol but I’m sure the excuses get obvious after a bit!
@dapple88 Last time we got pregnant *TW ended in a miscarriage very early on *end TW* we were going to wait until 12 weeks to announce. This time we are waiting, but I'll be around 10 weeks. We're going on a family trip with half our family in late December, so we're going to do it then. I don't know when we'll see them after that, so it'll be nice to announce in person versus over the phone! But I am eager to tell people!! I am close to the people I work with and have 2 close best friends... I feel like I'm going to accidently blurt it out in conversation one day on complete accident!!
@acunamatada The dreams have been very vivid! The first night I knew I was pregnant I had a nightmare and yelled out loud! EVERY night since finding out (granted it's only been 3 days lol) have been very strange vivid dreams.
Also, my nipples have been HURTING!!! I know it's common for your boobs to be sore, but they aren't! It's only the nipple itself that's giving me hassle.
@devilcat139@hillbillywife I'm the only one of my friends with kids too. It's definitely created some distance, especially with some of my friends who are still in college. Even my DH's friends and family are mostly bachelors, and are nowhere near close to having children, (planned, at least) and he's 9 years older than me!
@acunamatada I felt isolated when I first got married. We married when I was 21, so all our friends were still in college partying. Its hard when people are in a different phase of life.
@gspmom21 That totally makes sense. DH is a very cautious guy so he would probably prefer to wait until the baby is actually born.. But i am the complete opposite so hopefully we can compromise. Sending you lots of sticky vibes!
I am SO HAPPY this board is finally up! I got my bfp last Tuesday and I've been checking back every day! I'm still friends with a few ladies from my last birth board in 2014, and a) I'm hoping I get to stay on this board b) hoping there's lots of cool people to hang out with while we weather the next year together. Every board has different personalities, and I'm excited to see what ours will become!
Ok, did you know the same guy who voices Grover voices Miss Piggy?!? I was half-listening to Sesame Street and looked up thinking Miss Piggy was on, and it was Grover! So I looked it up, and same guy! My world just shifted a tiny bit.
I cannot bring myself to do anything. This is why I finally took the pregnancy test. I realized that I was too tired to live. Exactly the way I was with DD. It’s going to be a loooong first tri.
@LF93@hillbillywife Pregnant Acne is the actual worst, I had it SO BAD on my back with my first. Belli Skincare cleared it right up tho! Nothing for me yet but I'm ready for it when it comes!

I don’t get zits very often and this week I got THREE on my chin, right beside each other.
@BrittG13@celainev my entire body is broken out right now lol. I have some really painful deep ones and a million little white heads. Boo. Although I’d rather have acne than throw up so I’ll deal with it lol. Thanks for the skincare rec. I’ll check it out!
@BrittG13@celainev@hillbillywifeI get big zits on my forehead and chin in the first trimester and I never get zits, so I feel like an awkward teenager, it sucks.
Count me in for the terrible acne. Haven’t had it this bad since I was a teen. @hillbillywife I’ll take acne over morning sickness any day (though it’s still early, MS could still get me!)
@lindsayleigh1989@bdesterhouse I feel the same way. I am a ball of anxiety anyway and this being my first pregnancy isn’t helping. As much as I don’t want to be miserable (especially at work) I feel like constant reassurance might help me calm down and relax!
@lindsayleigh1989@devilcat139 and @bdesterhouse same thoughts here! So much anxiety! I am also hoping for some symptoms just so I know everything is okay! Since my last pregnancy and delivering 3 months early my anxiety has been awful!! So I'm in the same place as you ladies wanting some symptoms to start showing up.
