Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Sunday 10/29

Bored at work so I’ll start this today!

Month/Cycle:

CD/DPO:

Timing:

Testing:

R/R:

CS/Q:

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?

Re: TWW Sunday 10/29

  • Month/Cycle: 13/5 (TTA for a few and then benched in February for myomectomy)

    CD/DPO: 21/4

    Timing: -4, -3, -1, +1

    Testing: Not anytime soon.

R/R: It’s 4:40am, work is slow and it’s the first time I’m trying to make it through my shift on one cup of coffee. I am pretty damn sleepy right now! At least today is supposed to be rainy so it’s perfect sleeping weather. I want to get this weekend over with so I can catch up on the rest of Stranger Things.

    CS/Q: Nothing to see here.

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why? I don’t have a specific city in mind, I just want to live on a lake or a bay. My husband and I love to fish and crab. And I love the idea of sitting on a dock in the morning with a cup of coffee. That would never get old!
  • Loading the player...
  • Month/Cycle: 31/30

CD/DPO: 25/14 but who knows this month (not me or FF)

    Timing: -3 -2 -1

Testing: Blood test for another reason on Wednesday so if AF doesn't show up before I'll know latest Thursday when I get the results

R/R: Guess where I'm posting from? The plane! Apparently somewhere in the middle of nowhere over Russia!
Still another 6.5 hours to go (then a transfer and a second flight). Which I guess is a rant. Plus I'm cramping and have a flu-y chest infection type thing going on. Friday we had an awesome last day in Beijing, Great Wall, Ming tombs, summer palace, followed by the high speed train back to Shanghai- but this took me to my limit and I slept 17 hours pretty straight after that. I don't want to know what my autoimmune markers would have been... but made it out for a final dinner then another 10 hours sleep before the travel back today.

CS/Q: Actually stopped charting after everything got screwed up with the flight and sickness 2 weeks ago, but back to it once we're home tonight

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
Great question- I'm also going to describe it as I haven't actually found the place yet!
So it would be within an hour drive of a big airport and train station and within 30 minutes of a major highway.
It would be close enough to hear the sea (and see it if possible), minimum 30m above sea level though, with plenty of land and walking/cycling/riding trails down to the beach. It would be no more than a ten minute drive to a supermarket and basic facilities (pharmacy, doctor, dentist) and no more than 45 minutes from a major hospital. Some near neighbours but not a big residential zone.
The weather would have the possibility of a few inches of snow in the winter, summer temps 20-25 degrees Celsius and four distinct seasons.
I guess places like this go for literally tens of millions, but it's a nice dream.

@mrs_drc_rn hope the rest of your shift goes quickly!

  • @mrs_drc_rn  Hope your shift is smooth sailing. GL on the one cup of coffee.

@emmasemm  Sounds like you had an amazing trip! Sorry you’re not feeling well though. Safe travels home.

    Month/Cycle:  5/5 (1 benched)

    CD/DPO:  20/6

    Timing: -1,O

    Testing: nope

R/R: bumping from bed, but I think the dog is going to get me up soon. Lazy Sunday ahead, pot roast and cleaning. Maybe root touch up too and dog walks.

CS/Q: No questions. Will add chart later.

GTKY: It would have to be near the ocean. If I couldn’t see it, within a few minutes drive of it. Would be amazing to hear it though. I miss that sound. Somewhere I can walk my dog on the beach everyday and not have people bitch about it.
Wiuldnt want neighbours too close, I like quiet. Weather preferably warm most of the year and maybe a little snow at Winter but no need to own a snowblower. And within decent driving distance to all amenities if I wanted them.
I don’t think there is anywhere that is “perfect” but lots that are pretty close.
  • @nitnat007 thanks! DH is pampering me as much as you canon a long haul flight and I'm on a movie marathon.
If you find your perfect place to live let me know as sounds like it could be mine too lol!

  • @mrs_drc_rn hope your shift goes by quick. We watched the new Stranger Things last night. I love that show!

@emmasemm what an amazing trip! I would love to do something like that some day!

@nitnat007 your Sunday sounds perfect. Ours is about the same. Enjoy!

    Month/Cycle: 11/13

    CD/DPO: 19/2 ? I haven't gotten CHs yet, but pretty sure I O'd Friday or yesterday.

Timing: O, O-1, O-3 (assuming FF gives me CHs and I actually did O - see rant below)

    Testing: Not unless I'm late.

R/R: Another cycle where it looks like I O'd really late (I have an average 24 day cycle and I'm getting peak OPKs on CD 17-18). If I am O'ing, it's a super short LP. Grr... Rave is that today will be another day of great weather! Getting the house all ready for trick or treaters!

    CS/Q: Nah

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why? If we are dreaming, I'd have a house on the beach in Belize. I really loved it there. Or, a house in Yosemite.
  • @emmasemm Your trio sounds amazing! Sorry you’re not feeling well now. I hope those flights go by fast and you can get some more sleep! I love all of the detail in your GTKY answer, wherever that place is it sounds perfect.

@nitnat007 I’m finally in my bed as well. Looking forward to sleeping through this rain! Enjoy your last Sunday; pot roast sounds perfect!

@therealbitts Ugh, sorry your cycles are being screwy. I lost all of my info in another app I was using, and FF doesn’t have enough info to see what my LP is yet. I hate all of the guessing!
  • Month/Cycle: 6/6

    CD/DPO: 20/6

    Timing: Good

Testing: I'm waiting. I usually get a big drop on 11DPO that lets me know AF is soon so testing seems silly.

R/R: No rants today. We have another day with nothing planned. It's rainy, so we may stay in and do puzzles. We finished Stranger Things yesterday. It was fabulous.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: I actually love the city we live in now, and most of my family is planning on moving nearby in the next few years. In dream world we will be able to move closer to downtown in one of the old neighborhoods. They have adorable 1920s-1940s cottages in various styles, big old trees, lots of walkable parks, decent sized yards, great school districts, and close to a lot of amenities.

@mrs_drc_rn Living by a lake would be cool. We saw some beautiful lake front properties on our walk yesterday and you could tell which ones enjoyed coffee by the water because they're backyards/decks were all done up. Hope you get some rest today!

@emmasemm How was the trip? Willing to share photos later?

@nitnat007 That sounds like a nice, quiet Sunday. Do you think y'all will leave Canada someday?

@therealbitts Belize does sound pretty amazing! Have you spoken to your doctor about the short LPs?

  • @mrs_drc_rn Hope you get a lot of sleep after this shift! Also, my in-laws live in Maine on a bay like that. They love it.
@emmasemm Have a safe rest of your trip home, and I hope you feel better soon! It sounds like your trip was amazing though. :)
    @nitnat007 Enjoy your lazy Sunday!
@therealbitts Yosemite is gorgeous! I certainly wouldn't turn down a house there.
@SkilledSailor Do you do jigsaw puzzles? I love them, but they can be so pricey! It sounds like you're describing the neighborhoods in my city as well! We really love it here.
    -----------------------------

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD/DPO: 22/9

    Timing: -3, -1, 0

Testing: BFN this morning. I know it's too early.

R/R: I slept really well last night! I've been waking up a lot during the night this past week, so it was great to sleep soundly. I'm going to head to the grocery store soon so I can get some good cooking done today. Might do a bit of work, but not too much. No major rants!

    CS/Q: Chart in spoiler.

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
I love being out in the middle of nowhere, but when it comes to my home, my preference is to be in a college town within a couple hours drive of a big city. I want a walkable neighborhood where we can easily get to restaurants, bars, groceries, coffee shops, etc. Ideally near the ocean, but I am loving having real seasons where I live now (MN).
  • @skilledsailor thanks and will find one or two to share once we're home!
@darkstar42 thanks and your chart always looks so good...

  • @SkilledSailor That’s a fantastic show. I’ve never been a huge fan of Winona Ryder but I think she does a great job on this one. I had no idea she is so talented. It is taking forever for the next season to arrive.

@mrs_drc_rn I’m glad your shift was quick and you’re able to rest now. It sucks having to work on a Sunday.

    CD/DPO: 26/13

Testing: Got a call this morning at 3am that my Dad was spiking a fever. I only had two hours of sleep. I took a frer before I drove over. I think it was BFN but I thought I may have saw something. It was probably tired eyes and wishful thinking. I have one test left at the hotel. I’m gonna wait a couple of days and test again. I’m probably out though. AF should come tomorrow.

    CS/Q: No

  • @suzycupcake I’m so sorry about your dad. It has to be so hard on all of you. Take care of yourself! (Hugs)

@kindbytealikat GL with the in laws today.

@darkstar42 enjoy your cooking today. Anything special on the menu? You’re on a roll lately.

@SkilledSailor I could see us leaving here. I’ve lived in several countries over the years so moving wouldn’t be a buggy for me. DH has not lived outside of Canada though and he would like to. We would have to wait until DSS was much older though. Would you move outside of the US?

@emmasemm So glad YH is taking care of you. Those long haul flights can kick your butt. Rest up when you get home. Hope you have a day or two to adjust before heading into the office again.

    @mrs_drc_rn Have a great sleep!

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 27/12

    Timing: great

    Testing: BFN this morning.

R/R: Feeling ragey at everything today.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?: I would like to live on another planet, away from psychotic orange men, my crazy ILs, and where time works differently so that babies stay small for much longer, and two week waits feel like 2 minutes. I mentioned ragey, right?

@emmasemm What an amazing sounding trip! Beijing blew me away when I went a few years ago. Though the jetlag was no joke! Especially if crossing the int'l date line. I was a zombie for like 10 days after that. Take care of yourself!

  • @SkilledSailor Love that you guys are doing a Star Wars puzzle. We just rewatched Rogue One last night. Taking the weekend (mostly) off has been nice! MH needed to swing by a thrift store to pick up something for a project, so I got a cheap jigsaw puzzle. Hope it isn’t missing too many pieces!

@kindbytealikat What is trunk or treats? Sorry things have been frustrating with YH. *hugs*

@suzycupcake Sorry you’re going through so much with your dad. I’ve been there, and it’s really rough.

@nitnat007 Actually, I never made the soup I was planning yesterday, so that’s on the menu today!

@concreteayngel Sorry about the BFN this morning. Fx it’s just too early.

  • @darkstar42 Trunk-R-Treats are really popular here. Many church’s and businesses host them. It’s a door to door Trick-R-Treat alternative. Businesses and church’s people will line parking lot and pop their trunks and hand out treats. A lot of them also have various Halloween activities going on at well. The one we go to every year the church basement is like a carnival, the parking lot has a lot of stations for treats and the fire department is there with a truck the kids can get in and a fire prevention mascot dog.

  • @kindbytealikat They do take up a lot of room, don't they? Sorry you've had such a frustrating weekend! Did you have time to relax a bit before the in-laws arrived?

@suzycupcake I'm so sorry about your dad. How's he doing this afternoon?

@nitnat007 I don't think I could ever do a long-term stay in another country but really wouldn't mind living somewhere else for a year. I've considered Spain multiple times. I really wanted to do it right after college but my dog had/has severe separation anxiety and I didn't think she'd mentally survive the quarantine process.

@darkstar42 Love it! What's your puzzle?

@concreteayngel Sorry for the BFN. Treat yourself to some wine and ice cream.
  • @darkstar42 what town do they live in? We have friends who are moving up to Maine in a few months and I’m so jealous! They took a trip up there and it looked beautiful!

@kindbytealikat we have a lot of Trunk-or-Treats in our area too! And Colorado is definitely on my travel bucket list.

    @suzycupcake sending hugs!

@SkilledSailor I love that you’re doing a puzzle! Perfect rainy day activity. DH refuses to do them with me and calls me an old lady when he sees me using the puzzle app on my phone.
  • @quiltandknit unfortunately, no. I work the weekend program, so for me it’s every Saturday, Sunday and Monday night that I work. Ugh, the SS struggle is SO real! I’ve alreasy started at only 4 DPO... I’m intrigued by these healthy breakfast cookies! I’ve been trying to slowly transition back to more healthy/paleo recipes. I try to make Tuesdays my big prep day!

    @mrs_drc_rn @nitnat007  @quiltandknit  @darkstar42  Thank you ladies  <3

@SkilledSailor  Hospice Nurse came and said he has 2-4 days. I think she’s right based on the signs that I know. He can still groan, grimace, turn himself, say I love you and perks up a few minutes every now and again. I took care of cancer patients when I used to Nurse at a hospital so I can explain everything to my family. It’s so much harder now that it’s my own Daddy.

Seriously you guys, the support means the world to me!!

People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

How I feel all of the time.
