Been trying to get pregnant for the second time for over a year now (first is 3 year 7 months old) and nothing is happening. I have a dr. appointment coming up but the last time I saw my OBGYN (about 6 months ago) she said everything is fine with me and I'm perfectly healthy. I'm 30 years old and my periods are regular and have a regular 28 day cycle. I have tried everything you can without a prescription and nothing. I know that it is rare to develop secondary infertility after having a c-section, but I'm convinced this is my issue. I had an unplanned c-section and I truly believe it was an unnecessary c-section and now I can't help but think my fertility issues is a direct result from it. Of course I will be discussing this with my OBGYN, but just curious to hear if this was the case for anyone and would love to hear your story.

Several things in the order I remembered them: Thing 1: This is a TRYING to GET pregnant board. Many of the ladies here have never had a pregnancy, or a pregnancy that made it to live birth. Even if you find one of the ladies Trying For A Sibling (ME) no one, and I mean NO ONE, can help you with your issues if your doctor can't. Thing 2: The only person who really can tell you anything about if your CS was involved in secondary infertility is the person who did the actual CS. Thing 3: What do you mean by everything? Have you used your Basal Body Temperature to see if you actual ovulate, or have you found ovulation day, to see if you are having well timed sex, or if you have a shortened luteal phase that is causing you to not have successful implantation? THAT much of everything? Thing 4: There is a 'READ ME FIRST' thread where you can find the wealth of ladies who know how the female body works, and they give their tips and tricks. Thing 5: When is the last time you had your thyroid checked? It can play a part in the regulation of hormones needed to have and maintain a pregnancy.

@michiblaredo if you’ve been trying for a year with no success and your OB doesn’t see anything wrong, it might be time to see an RE (reproductive endocrinologist) who specializes in infertility. Your OB sounds like they don’t really care to find out what your problem might be.
But as for the help you can get from this board, I think @kiki2628 and @princesslockness covered it. Read the pins, check out the culture of the board and support some of the ladies here and you’ll probably learn a lot about your body.

@princesslockness Thank you so much for your reply. However, I think it is a little aggressive and not nice. So let me clarify a few things:
Thing 1: I understand this is a TRYING TO GET pregnant board and I am TRYING TO GET PREGNANT and have been unsuccessful for over a year. I understand that I am TTC for the second time and many women here are TTC for the first time, but I know I'm not the only first time mom on here. I'm NOT looking for anyone to diagnose me, as I stated I'm seeing my OBGYN. I was just looking to see if anyone has or is currently experience secondary infertility and thought this was a safe place to discuss this. Thing 2: As I said above, I'm not looking for a diagnoses on here. Trying to hear from others if any. Thing 3: Yes I have tried basal Body temperature, ovulation day, timed sex, etc. Thing 4: thank you, I will take a look. Thing 5: I have not checked my thyroid and didn't think about that. So thank you for your suggestion and that will be something I will bring up to my OBGYN.
Now, for clarification you said if I find someone Trying for A Sibling and you said (ME) does that mean you have been trying for another baby? If so do you mind sharing how long you have been trying? Did you have difficulties with the first?
Everyone that I know that has already had a baby (that didn't have complications with their first) got pregnant almost immediately when they started trying for their second. So I have no support group to talk to about this and I would love to hear second time mom's stories.
I should add that with my first I had not issues getting pregnant and with OBGYN and friends and family telling me that I'm healthy and there is nothing to worry about has made this process frustrating. So just looking for anyone that can relate, can share their stories, can contribute any guidance.
@michiblaredo Really, you think @princesslockness was being rude?!?!? She was being extremely polite. We're a community here where we GIVE support to each other. You basically came into a room full of women already talking and yelled "look at me." Oh and please don't think that your OB doesn't care (I'm looking at you @meggyme). Unless the woman is 35 or older it is STANDARD PRACTICE for an OB to have a couple try for a year especially if you have normal cycles. It can take a healthy couple a year to conceive naturally.
@michiblaredo that’s not really how this works. You can’t just demand everyone come to you and tell you their life stories going into specific detail about the really personal parts that you might be able to relate to.
Read the pinned posts you were directed to, stop typing and actually look at the board and you will find a lot of support, conveniently organized into weekly threads where you can participate and support some of the other women here before demanding to know their personal struggles.
For example, there is a thread called TFAS (trying for a sibling). There are also IF threads, and charting threads and threads where we just talk to each other because we aren’t walking uteruses. You might find the support you’re looking for there.

The best place for you to start is reading the pinned thread that you were pointed to and reading the other existing threads. I would start with the TFAS (trying for a sibling) and the infertility/testing threads. Then introduce yourself on the intro thread for the week and join this community. You'll see that everyone is already supporting each other in just the ways you're looking for.

@michiblaredo I can be rude and aggressive when called for. That wasn’t me being either. Yes, I am TFAS. If you check out the TFAS thread that is for this week, talk to the others on it, and make your own comment, everyone on that thread will share their personal knowledge. Not that personal experiences will actually help, as everyone is 100% different.
