New To Infertility Board

Hi Ladies, I mostly frequent the Trying To Get Pregnant board and then saw this one. DH and I started IUI in July with Clomid 100mg CD5-9 and then Ovidrel trigger. I think we got 2-3 follies. I got benched for two cycles because of 4 big cysts. They all went away, but we started this cycle with one 3cm cyst We just did IUI again yesterday morning. This time, we did 50mg Clomid CD2-6, trigger on Saturday at 11pm and 2mg Estradiol, twice per day since Friday evening. Apparently my lining wasn't thick enough this cycle. U/s Friday morning showed 2 follies. We don't have a male factor, but I do have PCOS and Multiple Sclerosis. It does make things a bit tough. 

Anyway, thanks for having me. I look forward to getting to know others who are in a similar situation.

Welcome @suzycupcake! I’m a PCOS gal as well. Sometimes those corpus luteum’s from the multiple follies will give you the progesterone you need to get the lining thick. Just a thought

@Irisheyes81 Thanks. My lining wasn't thin the first IUI cycle and I got those cysts so I don't know why it was thin this time. That's the other thing. I have not gotten a Progesterone test thus far during my cycle. Last time we did IUI, I asked for it and she ordered it, but I didn't have the time to go and do it.

@suzycupcake most people with PCOS have low progesterone. I’d check out 7 dpiui and see where it is.  Clomid can cause thin lining in PCOS. You might ask you RE (nicely) if you can use letrozole next cycle if you aren’t pregnant. It has a much shorter half-life. Plus, it’s not a ‘fertility drug’ so it’s covered by insurance.

@Irisheyes81 Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I will be out of town 10/20-11/4. I have Kaiser insurance so I will see if I can order Progesterone test through one of those online laboratories and go to a lab in the area I'll be in. 

My RE told me that I get 3 shots with Clomid. If they aren't successful, then we can switch to Femara. I just looked that up. It is Letrozole Lol! 

Nicely? Omg, I've been the worst for those people throughout this ordeal. I'm going to send them donuts soon with a "Hi, sorry I'm such a hot mess" thank you note in it
