I am currently a Financial Analyst. It is not my dream job but it pays the bills. I don't really have a dream job. I work to live not live to work so as long as I have something that affords me the things I need and want in life I'm happy. Of course, it has to be a safe and healthy work environment with good work/life balance. I see myself always working though.

I am the executive coordinator (read receptionist/personal assistant to president and CEO/Event Planner) for a food processing company. I had someone from our high school's superintendent's office reach out to me on Friday and tell me that the secretary to the Superintendent position is open and they were wondering if I was interested...tossing around the idea of applying... Two years ago it was open (I was pregnant then too but much further along) and I wasn't offered the job, I think because I was pregnant (yes I know that's not ok), so if I was offered an interview this time I won't tell them, obviously.
I would LOVE to run/start a non profit. I have had dreams of doing something with loss and encouraging moms who have had losses and sharing the hope that there can be. This would be something that I could do from home or have a more flexible schedule so I could be home with the kids more and do the school outings with them.
I have also spoken at a few women's events and would love to do that more. I love encouraging and uplifting women so this makes my heart happy too.

"Dear Lord, I would have loved to have held my babies on my lap & tell them about you, but since I didn't get the chance, would you please hold them on your lap & tell them about me?" All are welcome!
I am a sales coordinator for a real estate firm. I really like my job! Really the only negative is that I get no benefits at all, but otherwise it is a lot of fun and super flexible. With that said, it's not exactly the most fulfilling job ever. I'd love to work with seniors, or rehabilitating abused animals or something.
I'm a librarian at a university. I teach courses on information literacy, design info lit curriculum, and do lots of one-on-one research consultations with students and faculty. I don't know if I've ever had a "dream job" in mind, per se, but I do love this job very much, and I hope to keep doing it for a long time.
Edited because words are hard.

I am a SAHM! It definitely was not always my dream job. I was a hairstylist before having DD, and that had always been my dream! When I went on mat leave, I had every intention of going back to work.. but as soon as DD came into the world, I knew I wanted to be home with her. So I guess it's my new dream job?
@Hollyyyyy if you want to do something with seniors, check with local nursing homes or hospitals - I volunteer at a local hospital as part of their Elder Wellness Program. I basically go in, visit them, help them with ordering meals, range of motion, etc.. I love it! I know the local nursing home near me is always looking for volunteers too to come visit some of the folks who don’t get visitors.
I am a SAHM now. Prior to this I was a Regional Asset Protection Manager. I loved my job but my region was changed and I was going to have to do a ton of overnight travel so I saw it as an opportunity to quit and try the SAHM thing (I had struggled a LOT after I went back to work after DS as to whether or not I was doing the right thing). I have zero regrets.
If I was single/no kids my dream job would be to be a homicide investigator or in the FBI.
Until recently I was a personal banker. I quit in August because I really did not enjoy any part of being pressured to do sales. It's just not a good personality match for me. My husband is self-employed so I decided to stay home and do the admin side of the business for him, but it doesn't keep me as busy as I thought it would. I'd love to volunteer somewhere - I feel like if I did something without compensation I'd be much more inclined to find something that I actually enjoyed and would want to pursue. I still have no idea what I want to do. Maybe a SAHM will be my thing!
I'm an accountant at a State department. It's a low stress job with great benefits, so I'm pretty happy. I don't know what my dream job would be. I'm a homebody so if I could work from home doing what I do now, that'd be pretty awesome. I think being a SAHM would be pretty awesome, but we couldn't afford it (my job has a higher income and better benefits than my DH's.)

I work at an after school program with elementary kids. It's not my dream job but I do love working with kids, I really can't wait till my husband's job is steady enough for me to stay home.
Well, I was a teacher- high school English- and had just finished my masters in Special education when I was pregnant with DD1 and decided to be a SAHM. I love being home with my kiddos. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do!
I teach high school English. It is my dream job. I definitely could not SAHM it - that job seems really hard! Haha. I love DD of course but I like coming home to her after work - which I also love.
I'm an immigration attorney, pole instructor and business owner. I'm currently in school to become a Christian Counselor. My dream job would be to work in ministry helping families and SAHM until my future children get school aged.
I’m a stylist for Stitch Fix and I do seamstress work for a popular hair bow company. I also get to stay at home with my babies, so I think I’m living the dream I used to manage a microbrewery which was amazing too.
I’d also love to design uniforms for the NFL/NHL or be a professional napper.
@amamawolf How does one get to become a stylist for StitchFix? That sounds awesome!

I am a branch librarian at a large urban public library. It is indeed my dream job. I deal with all ages and populations everyday and it makes for some interesting stories and overall fun. This is not to say that there aren’t bad days where craziness goes down - patrons yelling at staff, yelling each other, kids fighting out front, books being thrown, etc. These are pretty rare anyway.
I also get to select books for and maintain all of the adult collections at my branch as well as organize and/or run all adult programming.
what everybody thinks I do all day - shush people, stamp books, and read quietly at my desk.
I'm a physical therapist...some days it's my dream job and sometimes I feel like I'm a different kind of therapist who doesn't get paid nearly enough to do what I do
I am a recruiter... and I am changing jobs in about 2 weeks. I love recruiting, and am looking forward to this new challenge. This new role is 20 mins from home, as opposed to my current role that is 2 hours away. We moved to a new city in July, and I was looking for a new role closer to home... Now... if DH could just get one closer!
Mama to a wonderful DD - Sep 2015, Wife to my DH since 2011, 2 dogs, a cat, and hoping to add No. 2 in May/June 2018. Canadian. 5 - IUIs, 3 - IVF retrievals, 2- failed transfers (fresh, and frozen), PGS on second IVF resulted in 1 perfect emby, and DD. 3rd IVF w PGS resulted in 3! perfect embys. 1st transfer - Sep 2017 2 more on ice.
Photographer. Sell essential oil. Seamstress. Make custom clothing. Sahm.
I love sewing and that is currently my dream job. I love the tailor I'm at. The negative is that it's only 4 hours a week. But it is a great place and I get to work with my SIL. I also love making custom creations
I have been a sahm for the last 4 years. Before that I worked in the medical field working with people with eating disorders. I also did supportive home care for children with disabilities. On top of that I worked in a gym drop off daycare, mostly for the free gym membership. I have not figured out what my dream job is, but being a sahm is the closest I have found.
I am an operations specialist at a bank. (Essentially the policy police). Nope, not at all my dream.job, although I enjoy the fast pace and my team immensely.
My dream job would be to open a floral shop, or start an event planning business. I want to be a part of helping people on some of their most emotional days. ♡
@PatientlyWaiting10 you have to live in one of their regions, but you just apply like any other job there’s an in person styling interview and training is in person, but the rest is remote!
Cancer researcher. I've wanted to go into a biology field since 5th grade and narrowed it down to cancer research by high school, so I guess it's been a long time dream. I like my job a lot, but definitely can be high stress (who knew there was so much writing involved?)

I'm an animal keeper/trainer at the zoo where I live. It is absolutely my dream job, but getting it meant working my butt off and putting my personal life second for a long time. I work with a wide variety of animals from monitor lizards and parrots to servals and cheetahs and I love every single second of it! The main downfall is that animals need care every day, so I often work weekends and holidays.
@kittiesandcoffee I used to be a big cat keeper and I can promise it is a dream worthy job! I worked with tigers and leopards at a zoo up in Washington. There are definitely times when I miss it a lot, but I love living in San Diego a little bit more
Im a preschool teacher and I love what I do. This year I'm teaching 3's and its such a fun age to work with as they start to gain a grasp towards independence. I've been teaching for 4 years, returned to work after DS was born in '16. After last year and missing being at home I cut back my hours at work so Im part time and I get to spend majority of the week with DS.
I feel really lucky to have the schedule I do. Now that Im pregnant this will probably be the last year I teach because we cant afford childcare for 2 young children. So everytime I'm on campus I try to really soak it up and enjoy each day no matter how hectic. I am thinking after the school year is over (late May) to go on the sub list so I can still come back and work even if its not consistently.
If anyone likes to talk Early Childhood Education I could talk for hours. I love it
I'm a Sahm. Honestly i have no idea. Before I left my last job, I saw a serial job hopper lol. My last job, I worked in staffing. It was probably my favorite thing I did. If/when I go back to work, I'd love to get back into something like that, minus the marketing aspect.
