Today I found out I had a $300 fraudulant charge on my debit card. For Vatican museum tickets. Most frustrating part? My bank froze my card last Christmas because I bought DH a $60 video game which seemed suspicious, but this? Not even a red flag. Seriously???
Anyone else already daydreaming about a babymoon? Where's the best places to go in the winter months? Gotta have a really good plan before trying to convince DH that belongs in the budget.

We’re thinking about taking DS to Disneyland. It’ll probably be another 4 years before we would be able to take all 3 kids so we want to take him while he was still an only child.
Thinking about January or February. I just wish disneyland wasn’t so darn expensive. It’s hard to justify spending a couple grand on going to California when you have two kids on the way...
I don't think we're doing a big babymoon or anything. We'll take a few camping trips before this one shows. I am planning on leaving the boys with DH for the weekend and going to Zion or something myself, I did that last time and it was good to get away.

I'm kind of lurking on this thread, but we went to New Orleans last pregnancy and it was pretty awesome! The history there is amazing, and the night life is pretty crazy!!! The only down side of it all was I couldn't drink, but just being somewhere warmer then Michigan in Winter was amazing!!

Just a weekend away to our favorite winery with on site villas for Spring Break. I may not getvto drink, but I can eat!
@allie0320 I have been dreaming of one too, I get so sick of our winters here and I imagine it will be even worse this year since ice will make it hard to get out and around. I'm not sure what we'll do though, because Zika seems to be an issue most warm place I'm interested in that aren't too far away
Our insurance still covers genetic testing for me but not for DH. Why?! It's not like I'm the only one contributing genetic material here. It sucks because my genetic history is fairly well known to us, but his mom was adopted so his could have any number of skeletons in it (though, less hiding than if it came from my side for sure).
If anyone understands this better than I do please educate me!
Maybe they only test for autosomal recessive genes? I don't think they usually check for Autosomal Dominant genetic diseases during pregnancy, but I could be wrong.
@allie0320 We're considering going to Williamsburg for a weekend. We usually go to the beach for our anniversary which is 10/29 (we hate heat and off season beach is the best time!) so last year we did Virginia beach and we tried to hit williamsburg but we didn't have enough time to really get into anything... so we're aiming for a do-over lol plus it'll be fun. I want to do a carriage ride with the skeleton horses!

Today is a lazy, messy house, dishes in the sink for DH to do kind of day. So I decided we'd watch Moana before lunch and finish it the last hour before DH gets home. Why would I choose a movie that got me teary eyed before being pregnant? I'm a hot mess. Send tissues. And donuts.
Had my first appointment today, which was a phone interview with a nurse practioner about my medical history and so on, my first real appointment is not until Nov. 10. I was told today that they will not ultrasound until almost 20 weeks because my insurance will only pay for two ultrasounds. I'm seriously annoyed that I'll have to wait another 13 weeks to see the baby! Hubby and I are looking into private ultrasounds as I type this.

Yes please!! It’s been so long since we’ve taken a long vacation. I am working on a trip in February. I want to go to Germany to visit some friends, but not sure we want to do it in the winter (we've been before in the fall). So maybe somewhere warm this time.
We are going to New York for a few days in December. I guess it isn't really a babymoon because DS is coming, too, but I am looking forward to a special trip for us as a family of three. We were planning on going to the Caribbean during that time, but Zika and the hurricanes had us worried.

I think we will have to skip a babymoon this time. We have so many trips planned already. DH is on a camping trip now. Anniversary next weekend. We go to Chicago early December (findraiser gala), Seattle mid December (work trip for DH, fun for me and DS), possibly Colorado in February (visiting friends). And we still have to get through the holidays. It's going to be such an expensive year.
my random: I really want a coffee, but every time I go to make one, I gag. This HG can f right off any day now.
Also- we did the NIPT testing on Monday and in obsessively checking for the results, even though I know they won't be back for two weeks. I know he odds are low, but I am so, so nervous.
We have never taken a vacation with just our little family of 3 so we are heading to the beach on Saturday! We’ve taken trips with other people (or for my husband’s work) but it will be nice to have an actual vacation. Not sure if that’s a baby moon since DS will be with us but it is much-needed either way! Just hoping I won’t be miserable with nausea the whole time
Southwest just announced they are going to be flying to Hawaii in 2018, we may try to get a trip in there if the budget can handle it. It's been on our list for a while and we fly Southwest pretty frequently with SO's miles. We have a trip to lake Tahoe planned at the end of this month and just booked a beach trip to Clearwater Beach Florida in January, we're going to try to do Disney for at least a day while we are there! We are packing it in before we become a family of 4.
@bwow615 I had a business trip in Tampa so I spent legit like 3 minutes in Clearwater (was dropping off a tag-along friend at the beach before my conference), but the sand was so beautiful and white. I hope you have a great time!
And I hope you can get the Hawaii vacation in too! That would be amazing!
Ya know what's classy? Rolling down your window to throw up while you're driving to work. Oh, and super glad my starbucks app glitched and didn't register the first time I reloaded it this morning so when I go to do it again, I have added $50 to my card instead of $25.

Sooo my son, who is 2, woke up and spit up. I tentatively gave him a little bit of dry cereal and 15 minutes later he threw up mucous. We are supposed to be flying to the beach for a week long vacation tomorrow

Might just be drainage problems, but with a trip planned tomorrow I would call the ped ASAP to get seen so you know what's up before you get on a plane

Oh no!!!!! Maybe it'll be short lived? I hope you don't get it too!
It’s definitely has to be a bug, he’s gotten sick 4 times since he woke up Trying to convince DH we can’t fly tomorrow! We will lose all of our money if we don’t go but the flights are cheap so I’m thinking if he’s feeling better in a couple days we could go then...

I had the worst stomach bug of my life at the end of my first trimester last time so I’m terrified!

Hopefully it's just a 24 hour bug.
When we went to Alaska in August, the baby threw up on our last flight. I chalked it up to motion sickness but then he projectile vomited all over the air bnb six more times that night. Perfectly fine the next morning!
...Of course, three days later the toddler came down with the same thing.
DS threw up once we got off the plane during his first flight at 9 months old. Like projectile vomited all over me in the airport right outside of the gate we got off at. I never travel without a second pair of clothes for myself in a carry on now. I was literally standing there no idea what to do. People were running over to me with paper towels and wet naps. It was horrible. I think it was mostly related to the flight and pressure as the next morning he had ear discharge and a ruptured ear drum, fun first beach vacation it is a good story for him though when he gets older. A little trooper through it all.
Friend had to cancel our playdate today because of her kid's behavior. So no adult interaction for me. One of our cars isn't working so I've been stuck at home all week, I was really looking forward to that.
